Very accommodating. They let me in last minute on a Friday because I drove to the wrong location and was late for appointment. They even gave me money back after the appointment because they didn't end up cleaning my ears. Never heard a business doing such a thing, which was really nice of them. They even let me cancel an appointment same day without a fee as I was moving and forgot to cancel on time. The front staff, nurses, and doctors were all helpful and personable. After surgery I developed a dry cough and scratchy throat. Dr. Meeks was recommended to me to have him take a look. They took their time, found the problem and prescribed medications that solved the problem. Courteous and professional during my meetings with their staff. read more

Dr. Meeks was thorough in his explanation and apologetic for a late arrival. That part of the visit was excellent and professional. What wasn't so great was the system they have in place for trying to get your prescription. They supposedly automatically send it to your pharmacy. After two visits to pick up my prescription, one 5 hours after my appointment, the pharmacist had no record of a prescription being sent in. I called Anne Arundel ENT and after being on hold for about 8 minutes was put on hold again when they saw that my prescription was never sent. A terrible system and a big waste of your time. Just give me the prescription and I will get it myself. The method they use is useless. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Meek and his wonderful staff! I had been struggling for several months with the sensation of clogged ears, headaches, nausea, and miserable dizzy spells. His office staff greeted me with smiles and kindness from Day 1. Dr. Meek took the time to truly listen, examine, and diagnose my issue. I had chronic eustachian tube dysfunction. He discussed treatment options with me in thorough detail. Ultimately, I decided to have the balloon/dilation procedure. On the day of surgery, I felt nervous and anxious; however, that was quickly alleviated by the pleasant staff. The receptionist, office manager (Lisa), nurses, and surgical team were amazing... so friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I have been very pleased with the outcome following my procedure. Anne Arundel ENT shares an office with Chesapeake Hearing Center. The office is clean and welcoming. They squeezed me in for a hearing test before seeing a doctor. This type of appointment is usually "by appointment only". Rather than turning me away, the ladies in the office went above and beyond! If I could give them negative stars, I would. My insurance paid them, but I was caught up in what's called an offset, meaning they owed my insurance company from other claims. They have trashed my credit claiming I owe them $957. I sent them my EOB showing they were paid, and they claimed my insurance sent ME the money and I never paid them. My insurance called them, then told me I owed the $56. They have NEVER billed me the $56 and have never cleared my credit report. Great doctors, but they are a scam for insurance billing. Avoid at all cost. read more

I came to this Dr. for vertigo. His Nurse Practitioner told me that I probably had polyps and he is the best one around for sinus surgery. I thought this was a strange comment since I was there for vertigo. The next visit to this office I finally met the Dr. after waiting 30 minutes in the examining room. He informed me I probably had migraine vertigo once he found out I suffered from migraines. Since I have had migraines for 44 years that was absurd to suggest that. ( At both visits I told the healthcare providers I was having terrible allergies. Neither suggested that my vertigo could be related to that. ) Dr. Meek told me I had a collapsed deviated septum and he could fix that with surgery. This was not the reason I was there! Today I went back for a followup and was left in the examining room again for 30 minutes. I finally got up and left. If you want surgery and want to wait around this is the place to go! If you want someone who will actually listen and try to figure out what might be the problem do not bother coming here. read more

Two years ago Dr. Meeks diagnosed me with severe GERD. I objected to being put on GERD meds as I knew they could cause dementia and osteoporosis. I had never had heartburn before but had felt really bad for a couple of months before seeing him. Initially I wanted to try using mechanical approach- small meals, sleeping upright, etc. He pressured me into meds saying that I was so close to getting Barrett's Esophagus and that was way worse than side effects of drugs he was putting me on. Finally after 6 months , he told me not to come back if I didn't want to follow his orders(after doing so for 6 months with no improvement.) I had one appt at Johns Hopkins and was diagnosed with dysphagia and had 4 speech therapy treatments, no meds and a year later I am still well. Well except that I now have osteoporosis and hope I don't get dementia too. I think every patient he treats get the same diagnosis and is treated with seriously bad meds. The office is very friendly and he seems so confident that I can see why people like him but he did me no favors! I have lost an inch in height-dramatically. I haven't lost any more height since going off meds -hurrah! All the literature is coming up to avoid the PPI's and he put me on double dose. My throat was red but it was a voice issue not a heartburn issue. I am not saying he is a terrible Doctor. I am saying he doesn't listen to his patients and isn't sufficiently careful recommending life altering drugs. I would rather have a careful doctor than an overly confident one. I waited to post this until I was sure that he was wrong, not just JHH saying so. A year later, I still don't have heartburn nor Gerd! He was wrong! read more

Dr Meek has changed my life. The drive down to Annapolis is worth it. I had chronic sinus infections and headaches that would develop from seasonal allergies. Dr. Meek did my septoplasty and I never got a sinus infection again. I haven't even had a cold for more than 2 days. 5 years later I went back to him when my sleep apnea started getting worse. For me it's genetics due to the shape of my airway and it collapsing at night- not from weight, though it caused me to gain weight. I was choking in my sleep and getting headaches so I went back to him after two other doctors didn't know what to do and didn't seem to care. He remembered me after 5 years. Rather than using a mask he is helping me to treat it through medication. I didn't have to do an uncomfortable sleep study. He knew just from an exam what was wrong and I feel so much better now. I have more energy and I can get through my day and exercise more. He even recognized I had acid reflux and gave me medicine for that and helping me lose weight to control the apnea. read more
