She really knew how to get the best out of me and help open my voice up with confidence and joy. I came into these lessons knowing a thing or two about singing, but she helped me get to a whole other level! Kyle has a lot of technical knowledge and shares it in a way that is absorbable. I learned so many new techniques, like, using vocal resonators, transitioning to my head voice better, and pronouncing words in a different way to get the most out of the song. What I appreciate the most is that she challenged me with complex songs I never thought I could sing, and it felt so fulfilling once I tackled them. With each song, I felt like I was leveling up and feeling so much more confident. Kyle has a discerning taste for music and has a high level of emotional intelligence. My daughter is AuDHD (Austistic & ADHD) & is in love with all things music; It makes her feel safe & brings out this light in her. We were blown away with not only the professionalism, kindness, & talent of the instructors but also the "bang for the buck" for their party package. So many things we looked into were super expensive & not anywhere near the experience. The Birthday Party was a musically immersive experience & My daughter absolutely loved everything. She got to play instruments & preform on stage a song she had chosen (We brought ours from an artist friend but they have a whole catalog to choose from) & She even got to record herself singing the song in their recording studio! At the end of her party was the performance for family, friends, & party-goers. The performance is what made my daughter want to do more with Bach 2 Rock. (We have since done camps & private lessons) Ultimately; We were most impressed with the connection my daughter made with the instructor/teacher who led her birthday party who she now takes private lessons from & is one of her favorite people in the world. Because my daughter is AuDHD she can be very rigid & tends to have sensory meltdowns or shutdowns due to overwhelm. Her teacher is great with all children (All of the instructors & staff are) but she really gets my daughter. She makes my daughter feel safe and builds her up. She knows how to get her to focus & encourages her talent. My family has been through a lot & the Bach 2 Rock staff & teachers over the past two years have witnessed quite a bit of it. They have also watched my daughter grow & her personality & musical prowess too! They are extremely supportive & compassionate. They have an amazing curriculum & offer private lessons, camps, events, bands, etc. for a variety of musical interests & fields; for all ages & abilities. (There are even Mom & Dad Rock Bands! ) They have recitals, as well as perform out in public at events and festivals. Students played at last year's Bonnaroo & do Battle of the Bands. As far as my daughter; Even with their amazing baseline curriculum offered; They saw the drive & talents in my little one & curated a specialized curriculum for her lessons that fit her needs & musical goals. She is truly excited to go to her lessons & often needs to be consoled when we can't attend. Bach 2 Rock -Nashville West is truly inclusive. They are not just compassionate but highly professional. All of the instructors are crazy talented & are actively out doing what they teach as well. The schooling, awards, shows, tours, performances behind them all is top notch. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at the Violin shop. I had several things done to my…read moreviolin; fingerboard planed, reshaping of the bridge, a little varnish touch up, clean and polish and bow rehair, new leather grip and clean and polish. They had my instrument for over 2 weeks. When I called to check on how much longer to expect the repair they said "oh, yes it's sitting right here all finished". I couldn't believe they didn't call me to tell me it was done! When I came to pick it up they set the case on the floor beside me to go over the bill. I was shocked they didn't open the case and have me play it for the amount of work that was done. I opened the case and gasped when I saw RAW exposed wood on my bow. The new leather grip was placed a bit higher on the bow leaving a spot that was under the old grip raw exposed wood. My heart sank! When I removed to blanket off the violin ALL the strings were completely loose. I don't know how the bridge or sound post was even standing!!! They staff talked to me as if I was a beginner or low intermediate student when I expressed my concern. I paid the $400 bill. When I got home and played it I simply wanted to cry. It sounded terrible as if the sound post had fallen but not properly replaced or possibly the bridge hadn't been reshaped properly. I went to another shop in town Williams Fine Violins to see if they could fix it and the luthier there was able to fix my bow. He also worked with me to adjust the sound post till my violin sounded back to its old self. I don't understand WHY the violin shop didn't have me play it ESPECIALLY if they knew the sound post fell during the repairs!!! I looked up the owner of the violin shop on their website and sent him an email but got NO reply. Save yourself time, money and energy. Go to Williams Fine Violins. They will take good care of you!!
