I hired this photographer with genuine hope for a smooth and professional experience, but the results unfortunately fell short of what I expected. Most of the photos had lighting issues, several poses were awkward, a few shots had eyes closed, sometimes my husband and I were not even looking at the camera, my hair was messed up, and in multiple photos, my dress strap had slipped down my arm without being noticed. These may seem like small details, but they make a big difference in the final images, and I was disappointed they were not caught during the session. A professional photographer would have properly fixed hair, poses, and made sure everyone was looking at the camera at the very least. Pricing also became a concern. I was originally quoted 150 dollars for a 45-minute session. Once it was mentioned that the photos were for a wedding, even though it was a very small and informal one, the price increased to 418 dollars with tax. I was surprised by how drastic the change was. There was an additional option to have the photos edited for 80 dollars, which I chose not to pursue due to the already high cost. As a graphic designer who works with photo correction daily, I knew that the issues in the images would require extensive adjustments and, in some cases, might not be realistically fixable. High-quality photos are the foundation for good edits, and in this case, I felt the images needed much more than simple retouching to achieve a professional result. I shared my concerns with the photographer over the course of a week and requested a 50 percent refund, which I felt was reasonable given the overall quality of the photos. She did offer a refund, but only for 25 percent. This felt unfair, especially since the photos were not usable and I could not recreate such an important, once-in-a-lifetime moment. Overall, I left the experience feeling disappointed, and I would certainly choose a different photographer in the future. I can sincerely say this was the most magical and unique holiday activity we have done as a family! Santa even restored the magic to our elf, and was sure to recognize her and greet her by name when we arrived, as well as our children. We chose the 20 minute experience and I would highly recommend. We received a letter from Santa a few days before our appointment that started all the excitement. Between story reading, cocoa and cookies and reviewing the naughty and nice list with Santa, my 6 year old daughter left confident that she had finally met the "real" Santa! This is the second time I've had headshots done by Peter at the summit, and this year's photos are even better than last year's. Even though it was a complimentary service, Peter took his time and showed great care in capturing a variety of shots so I'd have great options. He even let me review the photos before I walked away, which gave me confidence right away that they were going to turn out great. He later emailed several proofs, and I was able to choose the one I liked best. The final photo turned out amazing. I highly recommend!
