I'm always greeted by smiling faces that make me feel welcome. The gym has a variety of equipment and weights so workouts stay fresh and motivating. The music is fun and keeps me going. I train with OJ (the owner) but I've done a few sessions with other trainers and they have all been great. The trainers listen and meet you where you're at and give you that extra push when needed. I walked in there and met Krystina (I think that's how you spell her name.) She was really friendly and motivating, and we made an appointment for a consultation for the next day (yesterday.) I already knew that if I felt rushed or pushed or if it felt sales-y, then I wasn't going to do it. But she was so nice there was like not only zero pressure it was like minus hundred pressure lol. She seemed like she was mainly interested in getting to know me and find out what my needs were. Struggled through the work that we did together, but she was super motivating and spotted me when I needed it. I will be starting with her next month and I can't wait. I know that this is going to be a transformational journey and I don't mean physically.

He's a great trainer who keeps your goals in mind, taking into consideration your strengths and weaknesses. He pushes you, but not so hard that your body will be screaming the next couple days. It's a small gym but I think for people who are just starting out like myself or for those who are trying to become active again, Motivations is a great home gym. Now, I've been working with Jeff for a year and have loved my time with him. He's incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I shared my goals with him, and he worked to build a specific plan, with dynamic trainings, to help achieve those goals. Jeff is encouraging and patient, but also pushes me and holds me accountable (although I don't always do as many sit ups as he'd like me to!) He's a great guy, who is an expert in his field and I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to up their fitness game.

I have…read morebeen very inconsistent with working out in my life but decided it was time to get back into it. I was a member of this Crunch gym about 5 years ago and it was just another gym. I didn't enjoy going and there was definitely nothing keeping me there and I stopped going. I decided earlier this year to give Crunch gym another chance because it's close to my home. I nervously walked in and the manager Trent was at the front. He is such a personable guy. After talking with me a few minutes about a personal training package I thought "why not?". I've never been able to achieve my goals on my own so I figured this was either gonna work or it wasn't. He set me up to meet with Ryan, the manager of the personal training dept. Ryan asked a lot of questions that you'd expect from someone you are about to embark on a personal training routine with. I could tell that Ryan really cared about me and my goals and wanted me to feel comfortable in the gym environment. We talked about the training plan that he would be putting in place for me. He's such a likeable guy and made me feel good about my decision to hire a trainer. Ryan is an amazing asset to this gym! Ryan set me up with trainer Richard, saying he'd be a good fit to reach my goals. Richard is incredible. He is made me feel totally at ease the minute I met him. Since I didn't work out that often, I was nervous that I'd be embarrassed about not knowing how to work the equipment or follow his instructions. But I never felt awkward or weird and Richard is a true professional. So good at his job yet kinda makes you feel like you're talking with a good friend. Probably the biggest surprise is the change in how I interact at the gym. I would usually come in, head down, headphones in, not make eye contact with anybody, do my workout and go home. But the people at Crunch are really wonderful! The front desk always says hello and I'm always greeted by name by Trent, Ryan and Richard. There's at least one, if not all 3, there most of the time. And the rest of the staff is great too! It sounds completely corny but they really make me feel welcome and like they are happy to see me. They talk to me like they've known me awhile, and even sometimes ask my opinion and feedback if I happen to be nearby and they are talking with another client. My only complaints (and reason for only 4 stars) is that several members seem to not know how to respectfully treat the weights and equipment, and sometimes drop the weights heavily to the ground, while others do not sanitize the equipment after they use it. They could also use some updated/ newer equipment.

As someone who struggles with making the best food choices and staying committed to an exercise routine, the various time options for classes, the beautiful outdoor environment in the park and the knowledgeable trainers have made it possible for me to know remain committed and attend classes for nearly three years now. When you aren't in class, you are missed. When you are not eating your veggies, they'll offer a recipe. When you aren't pushing yourself, they'll give you 5 more. The gold lining of Recreation Fitness is that they know you, your body and your goals. They want you to succeed and modify their training to help you achieve what your aiming towards. There's never a time at the end of class, when I don't look up into the blue sky, with trees blooming o'er head and feel grateful that I've found this niche of like-minded people to work out with and to support one other. I am about to run my first 10k race in two weeks (6.2 miles) and going from not being able run even a block to this distance, comfortable and proudly, is one of the most exciting milestones of my fitness journey yet. So much of this milestone is attributed to the spark set afire by the trainers at Rec Fit.

She and her team member, Samantha have helped me recover core strength after surgery, understand where my limitations and pain come from, and have worked around my needs and schedule to help me overcome them. Emily is amazingly knowledgeable and her staff are talented and consistently kind and caring, and very motivating. If you want to become stronger, fitter, more energetic, and happier, Recreation Fitness is the place to go.

It would be really helpful if you weren't confronted as a yoga newbie with instructors trying to get you to do hand stands or the very challenging moves and weight lifts in the Pilates x Strength class. I think they need to give info to the members about difficulty ahead of time or section off some classes as beginner, etc. I belong to another Club Studio in a different city as well, so I'd have to say the staff at the front desk at this club can be a little unfriendly and inattentive compared to the other club. But I love most of the yoga teachers at this Club Studio, and I really think they made great choices in hiring Sandi, Kelly, Karen, and Jason. They all have great personalities and try to make the classes accessible for people with injuries or special problems . But if you're a senior with a lot of physical problems, this club is probably not for you. The emphasis is definitely on the youthful customer here, and I hope I can keep up with the classes for as long as I'm physically able before I have to go somewhere else less challenging.
