I always give a place several chances when I initially have a bad experience. I have been to Annie's nails off and on for the past six months. One of the first times after a full set within one week for nails broke off. When I came back to explain to them, what happened they fixed the nails and didn't charge me which I appreciate it. The next time I came in, they Told me to wait and I did and they proceeded to take someone else before me. I came in again today and was told I'll be seen in 15 minutes. They proceeded to sit me in the chair so I can get my nails done and after sitting there for 10 minutes the lady who came in behind me, sat down and looked at me and stated I'm sorry they took me before you I wonder why. Shortly after that, the lady that came in after her was also sat in the chair while still sat there waiting. At this point I was no longer going to wait to be seen. If they choose to take other clients before me then that's not a place that I want to visit. read more

We were off to a good start... I got the lavender spa with gel($70) and asked for squared toes n somehow ended up with rhombus nails...they are angled. Besides the shape last second they started getting busy so they pulled the girl I was working with and had someone else paint them. I went in to get my Gel-X nails removed, and they ended up ripping off my entire nail--it was painful and completely unacceptable. No matter how many renovations they make to improve the appearance of the place, the staff's lack of skill and care remains a serious issue. Everything about my mani and pedi is just awful! The lady that did my nails wanted me to pick the color she suggested & when i said no she got rude! I literally got burn twice with the nail buffing machine. My nails are crooked & super thick! They are very unprofessional! While i was getting my nails done, one of the employees got into an argument with a customer because he only gave her $2 dollars tip! I understand tip should be 20% of the bill but how you making a scene in-front of others clients over tip? Unbelievable! She even follow the guy outside demanding more tip! Went in for a simple gel manicure with a chrome finish polish - the tech didn't even paint my nails the color I asked for and changed the shape of my nails to block squares and when I said something he got up and left. (I was polite.). The woman at the next booth came over and put something on the polish to make it chrome-ish, but the color wasn't even close to what I picked and the shape is horrendous. Got my nails done here after looking for a place nearby Harriman Commons where a lot of shops are located. After seeing some decent reviews online, I made an appointment over the phone was able to be seen the same day. Upon arriving, I was asked to fill out some paperwork for COVID and was sat down with a male technician. While I initially asked to do a full set of acrylics with tips, I was told there was almost no difference in price between this and the SNS dip powder option. I was shown a lot of different colors (mostly reds and pinks) and settled on a fun fall purple. The technician was really skillful and took the time and effort to shape and make sure my nails were done well. The pedicure was one of the best I ever received for the price of a basic pedicure. Not only did they make sure to scrub my feet pristinely but also put on a timer for a 10 minute foot and leg massage with a scrub. My feet and legs felt so soft! One negative to this place is that management seems to be a bit money hungry, not willing to take promotions and coupons (I tried to use a yelp check in offer) and my total services came out to about $90. More than I was hoping to spend but for the convenience and quality of the nails, I will probably be back. read more

Overall experience wasn't bad. my nails look great aside from some corners and me having to ask for the techs to fix minor flaws. What I didn't like is that the owner took my change and assumed it to be tip because the amount I gave her wasn't enough??? Wasn't it enough that I paid for the service? I don't know... I went to get my nails done for my sister's wedding. I just wanted a basic manicure, no gel or powder dip. I got a soft pink/neutral color that went with the dress. Place was nice and I was taken right away despite being a walk-in & the place was filled which was nice to see. Prices were fine too, not a problem. The problem is I think BECAUSE I only got a basic manicure, I was a rush job. Usually being "in and out" can be a good thing, but in this case it wasn't. In less than 15 minutes I was done and out with a single layer of polish and rounded off nails down to the skin--never asked to see if I wanted them clipped or how to shape the nail. I asked for a callus eliminator pedicure. I paid $45 dollars to get my toes messed up and my calluses to still be here. They kept talking about how my nails were short and saying my calluses were bad. I came to get my callus problem fixed and they made me feel insecure about it. When I told the lady she messed up the polish on my nail, she said it was my fault. I wasted my money. My fiancé and I will NOT be returning to this salon. If you like sloppy, impersonal and rushed service, then come to Annie's. I went here with my daughter for a gel manicure for me and a regular manicure for her. The man who did my manicure barely communicated with me. For a minute, I felt like I had the cooties. He rushed thru my gel manicure, barely touching my cuticles and poorly applying the polish. Before finishing, he passed me off to his coworker so he could tend to another customer's pedicure. The gel is supposed to last at least a week. I had to repair a chip elsewhere after 3 days. I decided to go to this place because I passed it on the way home. The workers were friendly enough, but the guy who was doing my nails seemed like he was very unhappy with his job. I understand it was the end of the workday, but I would've appreciated a little bit of customer service. I got a pedicure. He never turned on the massage chair, in order to tell me to put my feet in the water, he would hit my foot. I can't say that he was horribly rude, but I also cannot say that he was polite. I took one of my friends here to get her nails done (it was her first time getting acrylics) she asked for a pink and white ombré on coffin nails. When she came out the nails did not look like the picture. I took her back in and explained what she wanted, they told me they could not do ombré with acrylic so they had to do it with paint. They do not listen, there is no excuse for causing clients who've had their nails wrapped for decades to get a mold on a fingernail, none. They filed, and made my nails too narrow, after the fill in which caused moisture to get in giving me a mold on my middle finger.. they rush and there's no pride in their work. Nice to the eyes and nose, sure. But their work is garbage. There is hope tho, at another Annie's in New Windsor. Better prices, and these ladies take pride in their work.
