My adventure at the Washingtonville Nail Spa Something a little different for me today... My feet were in pretty bad shape so my wife made an appointment for me at an area nail spa. The woman working on me was named Michelle and did an outstanding job. I'm not big on pedicures, only having one several years ago at the behest of my wife when my feet were in a serious state of disrepair. My feet were like the day they were issued when I left, soft and smooth. I highly recommend this place, not that means much to a young woman but for an old guy to enjoy something this much that he would NEVER have done years ago, ...that says alot. read more

Ahhh okay first things first book an appointment if you want to feel catered to. They do take walk ins but in order for them to perfect their craft they need time! I'm so glad we booked an appointment for me and my mom. We've been looking for a good nail spa ever since moving up here. Everything in Monroe was basookie but this place was everything! The vibe was calm, friendly, they were real sweet and made great conversation. It felt like we were at home. My mom is picky when it comes to pedicures and Rosa did perfect for her. Mom was happy to work with her. I worked with Kim and Michelle! They were both funny, sweet, knowledgeable and I appreciate both of their candidness. I asked for a last minute design and they both made it happen and it came out so cute!! Like guys look at the flowersssss. It felt like we made new friends today and I love that In a nail spa. I really wanted to like this place... it's very nice and clean inside. The first time I was there, really liked my nails from the gentleman who also partially owned the salon with his wife and her best friend. I came back around Spring time again with my mom who had the very loud best friend would wouldn't stop raising her voice about very personal conversations. She couldn't get the paint off of her toes for months. She ended up going to the nail salon in shop n stop plaza. She had the paint removed fully and then got her nails done very nicely. My manicure was ok. My acrylic nails another time I went weren't even at all. I didn't have a choice but to have The loud nail tech. She kept asking why I didn't leave my old nails from another nail salon on that had already been acrylic and I explained it was because I had my nails done for a while with 4 fills and it was time to take them off. She still insisted it was better for her for me to keep them on so I can keep getting fills which is cheaper. I needed to let my nails breathe?? She was very pushy. The third time I went - apparently you can't book through their FB page. They do not have a website at all and there is no walk-ins allowed?? Only phone calls for appointments which isn't mentioned anywhere because they don't have a website. It also doesn't say this on the door... there was hardly ANYONE in there too they could've easily taken a walk in. I believe they do this so that the kids from the middle school and high school don't all bombard them and because they're extremely short on techs. So after all that, I'm done. I would suggest either getting your nails done by the male owner or elsewhere. I have no opinion on his wife because Ive never gotten my nails done by her. Impromptu trip, walked in and was accommodated for a gel mani and pedi. Prices are fair, Kim was very attentive, professional and kind, not to mention did a great job with my shape & design! This nail salon is so unprofessional. I had an appt. which i called a week in advanced for mind you. When i got there for my appt. I was told they had no appt for me. "I must of called a different place." I said well where is my call history and this is your number correct? The guy was like well who did you talk too and i said a lady. After going back and fourth with them they took me and did such a HORRIBLE job on my nails. The next day my nails were already chipping!
