I wanted someone who shared the same faith with me and had experience handling the issues I was dealing with. I narrowed my search to Jamie and that was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Right from my first meeting with Jamie, I felt very comfortable, zero judgement, I was free to bear my heart out to her and she diagnosed the root cause of my issues which was a life with no boundaries. I had the biggest light bulb moments I've ever had in my life during our sessions. I spent over a year with Jamie and each session was super refreshing. I looked forward to each session. She uncovered a lot of connections from my past that were affecting some of the decisions and choices I was making. It was mind-blowing. I know how difficult it can be to find a counselor because when you first start looking, you have to tell your "story" (for lack of a better word) to each one, and this can be emotionally and physically exhausting, but I knew Meredith was the right counselor for me when I left her office feeling understood, supported, and hopeful. And every visit since then has simply reinforced those feelings. Meredith is warm and so easy to talk to. She's relatable, empathetic, and non-judgmental. She will brainstorm many treatment options with you and help you select the path that's best or most manageable. Once I was having a mental health issue she was less familiar with, and before our next visit, she had researched the issue and emailed me about treatment options that we then followed up about in person. She's also willing to work and communicate with your other healthcare providers (whether it's a PCP, OB/GYN, etc.) to ensure you receive the most comprehensive support possible. I loved it so much that I have attended several of these in the past few years. When i moved to Houston I inquired about the Art of Living workshops and have been a regular attendee since 2009. I find these workshops to really help me remain happy inspite of my stressful work life. I work as an engineer and I often have to put up with deadline submissions and unwilling clients. Prior to attending these workshops I used to get tensed easily but after learning breathing techniques taught here I feel much more relaxed and at ease. Absolutely love coming here!
