When I asked about it, I was told it was normal. A few months later, I lost a diamond from the band where one of those thin prongs was. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Fast Fix. Tony was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to explain exactly what my ring needed and how he would repair it. He took amazing care of it, and now it looks brand new! It also feels so much more secure. The replacement diamond was matched so perfectly that I can't even tell which one was replaced. We'll continue coming here for all of our jewelry needs. Owned the watch literally for 1 day, wore it once and had an issue. After working with the retailer, we were finally able to get Lowen to cover the issue under warranty (they had to replace the case) but it was like pulling teeth. The retailer had to get involved to make it happen. That was in March. I finally get the watch back into my possession in June. Upon receiving the watch, I immediately found the T Bar stripped. Of course, when I sent to them for warranty both T Bars were fine. They are NOT covering this under warranty. I emailed them asking why I was being charged for the T Bar. Their response was to send me an email with a notification for payment and letting me know if I did not pay it they would not repair the watch. So I was forced to pay. AND of course they do not stock the T Bars and it will now be an additional 90 days for parts. Purchased a watch, wore 1 day, wont have had it in my possession for nearly 7 months.

Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!

The store is packed full of rusty collectibles like farm equipment, old signs, some housewares and a small rack of vintage clothing, but mostly patina and rust, as the store name suggests, but all mostly clean and very nicely organized which made it easy to browse and look through (i.e. you're not scared of something toppling over when you're trying to look at something behind it). I loved the collection of vintage saddle blankets, antique French wire laundry baskets, vintage and homemade light fixtures, and old ladders. The store feels more masculine than some antique stores, and doesn't have a ton of housewares, which makes it fresh and interesting. There are large items out in the parking lot too. Owner Matt Binyon was in the store when I visited - he's friendly and interested in helping you find what you're looking for. He said some of the items in the store are booth rentals from other collectors and recommended some places I could look for bigger furniture pieces. He also owns American Rust & Patina in Layton, which has more furniture and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and I need to check out. This is a great asset to Sugarhouse! So glad it's here.

The owner Rand is so cool and I was able to snag a nice Paul Simon record at a great price! He was enjoying music as we walked in, so this man knows good music. Don't forget to check out the upstairs part of the shop, there are some really cute clothing pieces like quilted overalls, sweaters, and the like, as well as some vintage items. If there's anything in particular that you're looking for, Rand can help you find it! Don't be afraid to ask.
