I went knowing that it was probably going to be not as good as I expected. It was exactly that. 5 holes around the campus of Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in tall grass with tiny little concrete markers unnumbered with orange construction flags. The baskets were alright, definitely not as sturdy as a public city course. When I played, I did not know it was only going to be a 5 hole course. I went searching for the missing 4 holes, there weren't any. Kind of disappointing. If a student of the college reads this, I think your next personal project should be to at least spray paint numbers on those concrete tee box markers. Make them part of your campus. Or replace them with something really cool made of ceramics or a welded art creation. Maybe, also something more than just an orange flag. Heck, you got me to play on your campus, why not impress others who visit? If anything, it was a check mark on a short list of Frisbee courses or disc golf courses in Denver. I still had fun.

The pro shop is down a path thru the trees within the parking lot, it's NOT the building across from the parking lot. The pro shop is a small trailer where you walk up to the windows to pay the daily use fee and buy merch. The smaller course has 21 holes. It's a cool pitch and putt course, nicely arranged. Around hole 10, you start to climb the mountain. It's quite a hike, I suggest sturdy shoes with good traction. Tall socks recommended, as dirt and rocks tend to try to get into your shoes. The big course has many hills and climbing. Be careful, some are steep and slippery. There are 3 porta-potties at the entrance. There is no food, but they do have water if needed.

It does have some really good technical shots through trees and over hills. The last six hole are the ruffest with lots of tall grass and small cactus but mostly open. It has some amazing views of the rocky's. Over all I would play it again but it's not a course I'll play regularly. It was a fun hot course, only few shade spots. The sad part is it could be a great cousre if people would quit destroying all the Tee's and help clean it up a little bit. One last thing, Bring Water and sunscreen it can get hot.

But there are gazebos and an outhouse. A bit of construction at the moment, dunno what they're doing. The biggest hole distance are on holes 9, 11, and 16 averaging about 430ft. I'm not even a local!!…read more Anyway, there's an app called UDisc and it'll tell you what courses are in your area and how they are rated Village Greens is rated 4.0 stars on UDisc, the highest rating of any other courses near me. It's a a nice course. A lot of though has gone into the tee pads areas. There's a place to scrape the mud off your shoes (although there was no mud when I played), trash cans, even a separate trash can for recycling, a sign post with hole information, and very nice sized concrete tee pads. Some holes even had big logs to sit on while you wait to let your plastic fly. I'd say Village Greens has the best tee pad area of any disc golf course I've ever played. It's a fairly logical course to navigate. I think it would be nice if they had arrows directing you to the next hole. Be sure and download UDisc so you can navigate. The holes aren't very technical. It would be a good place to take someone who has never played. I'm a very average player with low arm speed and I can easily par every hole. A really good player would get lots of birdies and maybe an ace once in a while. That being said, it gets really windy in the afternoon. So much so that your 20-foot putt will catch air and go off 75 feet in the opposite direction. Not too many pars for me on the windy days. Even in the mornings, there's a slight breeze, but not enough to really mess up your game. A couple of holes are near high grass and willows. Be careful there or you might lose your disc in the high grass. Other than that, it's pretty wide open, and finding your discs isn't much of a problem. The tee pads are great. Plenty wide and plenty of room to make your run-up. The baskets are also in good shape and have flags on them to help determine what the wind is doing. It can get really crowded and the play can be slow because it's a decent course and it's beginner-friendly. I'd suggest playing early in the morning if you want less wind and less waiting to throw. I arrived at 7:30 am on a Saturday and was able to play quickly. A couple of people let me play through which is super cool. By 9:00 am when I was done, it was packed and several large groups were waiting to play. Again, that's a Saturday, but even on a weekday afternoon, it can be fairly crowded. Another big plus about this course is there were no prairie dog holes and no geese. Other DG courses in the area have either tons of prairie dog holes, or geese droppings, or both. I experienced none of that at Village Green. This is a really nice park. There's a restroom near holes 9 and 18 and also an area with covered tables. There's also an area for mountain bikers and some soccer fields that are part of the park. Parking is ample and easy. I really applaud whoever designed this park, and also the people who do such a terrific job maintaining it.

There does seem to be a bit too many holes on the course as people constantly bump into and play over each other. It made things a bit more difficult for those not familiar with the course because the "flow" of the course wasnt often made clear and the baskets weren't clearly labeled like the tees. The people were super friendly though and the changes in elevation were fun. It was packed on a Tuesday and there was a happy man selling hot dogs and lots of people playing soccer in the field next to it. Overall, a neat park but not the best course I've played.
