Yes! This was a fun day of disc golf. The entrance was a little confusing. Once you go down the driveway around a bend to the right, you reach a parking lot situated on the left. The pro shop is down a path thru the trees within the parking lot, it's NOT the building across from the parking lot. The pro shop is a small trailer where you walk up to the windows to pay the daily use fee and buy merch. The smaller course has 21 holes. It's a cool pitch and putt course, nicely arranged. Around hole 10, you start to climb the mountain. It's quite a hike, I suggest sturdy shoes with good traction. Tall socks recommended, as dirt and rocks tend to try to get into your shoes. The big course has many hills and climbing. Be careful, some are steep and slippery. There are 3 porta-potties at the entrance. There is no food, but they do have water if needed. read more

It's just OK. Not at all even close to what's touted as the 11th-best DG course in the world, and not really worth paying $15 to play there. They must have a really good PR department and social media person to draw so many people to this place. I played it two years ago. Still, the same issue...navigation is not consistent. Some baskets have arrows pointing to where the next hole is, others do not. We spent a great deal of time looking for hole 11. Even Udisc didn't help much. I called and checked the conditions before I came and they said it was wide open and mowed. Not so much. A good straight shot and you're OK, but if it's off in the weeds, you might have to say goodbye to your favorite disc. My friend lost two of his brand-new discs today. I saw other people searching the fields for their discs in the heavy weeds, which slows down play for everyone. You save $2 for making online reservations, but there are no refunds and no rescheduling. I think it's better just to show up. If you're there early it won't be too crowded, but the later it gets, the more people show up. I'm done with this place, I think there are many courses better than this one, and most of them are free...sans being rated one of the top courses in the world. Still, tons of people flock to this place, so more power to 'em. The more people enjoying the sport of disc golf, the better!! On another note, it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear some sturdy shoes or even boots...you are in the mountains and some of the terrain is slippery and rough. read more

The base camp and disc shop is a nice entrypoint, and the hike around the course has everything you'd want -- changes in elevation, scenery, and views. Quite possibly my favorite course EVER! I've played all across the country for over a decade and I can honestly deem this place a true gem. I'm not a huge written review guy, although the crew at this place is awesome and thought I'd pay them a solid. If you were to imagine a Colorado disc golf course, this is it!!! First off, each hole has three layouts on it. An easy, intermediate, and advanced layout; this allows people of varying skill levels to play on the same card and each have a great time (which we did!). The shot variety is also very good. Wide open shots, elevation shots, wooded shots, and holes suited for both backhand/forehand shots. The concrete tee pads are all in excellent shape, and are all accompanied by benches and brooms. Trash cans and recycle is also abundant throughout. The entire course is either mowed or weed whacked, which is impressive considering that this course is set in the Rocky Mountains. It was quite odd to see manicured fairways in such a setting, as I've never seen mountainous terrain manicured in this way. They have a course Marshall on-site who helps players manage pace of play, gives tips, and helps with navigation. Super cool dude, thanks Shawn! The shop had a very decent selection of all sorts of plastic with some pretty cool Beaver Ranch discs as well. And last, but not least, both the Marshall and the shop staff were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Dalton, Shawn, and management for a job well done. We'll worth the cost, as you can see the money goes back into the course. Go play it! read more

If you're a fan of disc golf I recommend this course! It's a fun time and you get a good hike in too. It has a lot of shade from the surrounding trees. You can buy discs too if you need them. We were able to bring our dog as well and it is super dog friendly. Each hole has a hook for your leash. read more

I can't believe this disc golf course has not been reviewed at Yelp yet. This is by far the best, most beautiful and most difficult disc golf course anywhere near Denver!!! The course is absolutely stunning, it starts out with a 1/2 mile walk to the first hole, don't let this dissuade you from going, you will be very happy you made the trek. The first three holes are going up the mountain and typically are the hardest holes on the course. That being said, the course has three different basket locations and if the baskets are in back it's going to be a tough day so deal with it!! As you wind your way around the majestic mountains and valleys of the course you will definitely be able to get a workout, and also will be able to see some amazing views, as well as, possibly some of the wildlife Colorado has to offer. The course is laid out very nicely with elevation changes and scenic overlooks. The course is also conducive for someone that has never played here with signs on where to throw and benches at almost every hole. I have played here around 20 times and every time has been an adventure. You can score really well if you are on your game or you can suck it up but enjoy the beautiful nature while doing it. I highly recommend anyone that wants a nice day trip to the mountains to hit this course up, you won't be disappointed!! read more

When you plan to go hike at El Dorado canyon, but day drink know instead, come to play disc golf. It's a two for one. You play and hike up trails to each course. There are different discs to use during the game. This was so much fun!! You each have a disc to throw at a chain net that is pretty far from each starting point. Where ever the disc lands after throwing you walk to that point and throw from there until you finally make it in the net. Tiring as heck, but it's a lot of good exercise and a good time. I would recommend coming here for a good time. We packed a couple beers in our bags to enjoy as we played. Lots of people playing the course while we were there, so we would let the pros play through and we'd go after. My buddy sad this was one of the nicer disc golf courses. read more

Best course in the state of Colorado? Hell yes! Amazing in every way if you ask me. Lots of elevation changes, mixed with lots of trees. Its a tight fight with a short stick on a few holes but it also opens up too. This course includes... I really can't compare this place with any other place it was my first time and I can't throw a frisbee to save my life so it was very hard for me. I probably threw the disc 15 -20 times each hole. The baskets were very hard to find- we didn't know which way to throw... it was pretty difficult to throw in some areas which is fine I'm not complaining, it was challenging to throw between trees and trying to keep the disc out of bushes when you suck so bad... but it's really fun even for someone who has zero control and weak arms. If you are good at it this place is probably really big and nice views. I went with family members and we had a great timeI can't give it 5 stars because they only have a port a potty. This course is the shit. Heres the lowdown: 1. It cost 5 dollars per day (if you can play this course twice in a day, you are an animal, three times you should start a religion) 2. There is a shop selling discs, snacks and beverages 3. Ladies play free on Sundays, hiking is free 4. Free Chili dogs if you ask. 5. They take credit cards 6. Free course map 7. Doggies allowed The 5 bucks is worth it, they maintain the course very well, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have brooms at most of the pads so you can clean them off, poles with hooks you can hang your bag on, arrows on the trees to help you find the baskets and pictures on the pads showing you where the baskets are. Theres a lot of attention to detail, little things you dont see at other courses. This course is not for the faint of heart, its a real workout. Bring your hiking boots or trail running shoes and water. read more

I am happy to say the Beaver Ranch Disc Golf Course and the FFDGC have managed to work out and solidify an operating agreement going forward (2019 and beyond) Foothill Flyers Disc Golf Club will still be running our trifecta of events (Pollination, Bloom, Harvest) but we are going to shift our major event to The Harvest. It will be at the end of September or the Beginning or October going forward because it is a much more reasonable time to host a major event at Beaver Ranch. Most of this was a miscommunication from an agreement that was made 10 years ago and going forward Beaver Ranch and Foot Hill Flyers have each other's full support. Thank's for staying engaged BRDGC and working thru this with us and our local DG commmunity. We all know BRDGC is an awesome course and venue for DG, not many courses out there like this one that is for sure. I still recommend that everyone checks out the Bailey Disc Golf Course while you are in the vicinity. Supporting BOERA and the Platte Canyon School District is always a good thing :-) read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The course itself is awesome - fun, challenging (but not too much so), and a good variety of shots. The employees are disc golf advocates, laid back, cool. They have a very nice rest area. Pro shop has a nice selection of discs that aren't terribly expensive. Good snacks. Decent parking area. I took my son there for the first time the other day - to play a round to celebrate his 14th birthday - and we had a fantastic time. Everything about this place is positive. This is hands down my favorite disc golf course in Colorado. There is a pro shop at the start of the course and a good staff. Multiple pin positions and they move the baskets frequently, once a week I think. I come here as much as my schedule allows and it honestly gets better every time I go, this year is no exception. They are always doing improvements and are some of the friendliest folks I've encountered. Pay to play but worth every penny. I get the season pass but however you swing it it is worth the money. Don't listen to those negative reviewers, they are trying to get one of the best courses in the country shut down because they couldn't have a tournament there. Im here to stand up for my local course and to tell you that if you are looking to play one of the funnest courses in the state come here, you will not be disappointed. read more
