Stumbled into this quaint antique/collectible shop and I'm happy I did! I can't believe they've…read morebeen around for 3 years and I'm just finding out about them now! I found a dainty white bentwood chair for $10 which I'm thrilled about since everywhere else I've looked have sold these chairs for $60+. The chair has a nice antique-ish, chippy paint look to it which I think gives it character. There is such a great selection here and better yet, at affordable prices! I heart this store and will definitely be coming back for more.

The owner obviously has a great eye for mid-century modern design, and works with local artists to showcase their new work amidst the antiques. I've already purchased one 8-foot long sea blue-green gym bench (yeah, and it's sooooo cool), and plan to purchase more. A weekly visit would not be uncalled for. They may get sick of me.

The items are fresh and change with the years in a good way. Once I bought my self a beautiful micro mosaic broach with a dove of peace. Last year I bought everyone in the family socks. Recently I found out that the owner repairs antique porcelain. My aunt had broken a family heirloom into about 40 pieces with some missing parts. I can't see the seams where it was repaired. So today, I brought in 3 piece German garniture (didn't know what it was called 'till they told me) that has been in the family forever and is missing pieces but is still mostly together but is so beautiful no one had the heart to throw it away. Raven and Five is eclectic and eccentric and beautiful.

Yesterday as I turned onto Ridge in Wilmette, a green dinosaur in front of Ray's shop flagged me down & asked where I've been! He & his brilliant friends, peacock & owl, made me laugh--& for a moment I forgot about Covid 19, my husband's stroke, the war in Ukraine, global warming. Who could resist that? A seemingly completely unlimited selection of whatever you never thought you needed but now cannot live without. The owner walked me thru the store showing me wooden tables, measuring to see if it was the right size, and saying "I have this one also..." He was so thoughtful, even offering to build a tabletop top to my exact measurements. Don't miss stopping by this cute store for what he has and what he can build.

While much of what you will find could be in an antique store, prices are more like a resale shop. Honestly, if you want to buy a great gift, this is such a great place to find interesting unique things that you will not find at Walmart or CVS. The house itself was old, which I liked....two story and each room an array of different things that to me looked pretty damn cool (A little cliche the adjective but it really was cool) With some of the photography and furniture...and dammit I just remembered a question I wanted to ask her. Anyway....I want to come back here and take pics....Jenny, the proprietor, works hard with the touching up, the delivery...all hard work to keep the store at its finest. I plan to come back. :)
