That was last year. This school year, our daughter's school offered a few after school programs, however none of them are even close to this program. Adam and ThinkinCAP do so much for kids of the school, a lot of times, people don't know, because he does it for the kids, when I ask him "Why didn't you put the name of the program on the flyer?" He always says "It is for the kids, this is the reason I am doing all of this, I have to do it with all of my heart, or why do it at all." Choosing test prep at Kweller has been one of the best decisions we made along his academic journey. Before Kweller, my son would use basic vocabulary to convey his thoughts, often in run-on sentences. The HS prep worked for my son. The Fall 14 week course was intense. Approximately 7 hours per week…read moreof homework plus the weekend Zoom. I would not have done as comprehensive a job had I prepared him myself. Kweller provided the structure necessary to get the work done. The weekend check-in created a the deadline. We found the nightly homework more useful than the Zoom, but that could be individual preference. The homework helped highlight what areas my son needed work on. Also, it was helpful to have him practice sitting for a long test. It's not magic. It's practice, practice, practice. Don't expect a child to manage this by themselves. There was quite a bit of parental involvement until we were accustomed to the pacing and log-in. I'm happy we chose to use Kweller and I would use them again.
