    Anthem's policy is to deny, deny, deny. How can an insurance company override a decision made by the doctor treating you? Insane!

    Allianz would not fulfill my claim! They denied my claim based on "taking care of sick animals is…read morenot covered" These animals are my livelihood, I live and eat based on selling deer, and they are not just domestic personal companions! I sent paperwork and documentation showing animals that had perished and I was having to vaccinate the remaining deer to survive. I could not leave to make the event that I was insured for! I see the reply from Allianz. Still not acceptable. I have a annuity with Allianz Life, I will do everything I can get out from under this company! My experience has been terrible and if they treat customers like this then I want nothing to do with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are exactly like GREAT BENEFIT INSURANCE from the movie The Rainmaker! Sell you a policy and then DENY DENY DENY!

    An absolute scam. I…read morehad to cancel a trip to Los Angeles for job-related reasons. I submitted the claim and supporting paperwork as requested. They rejected the claim. When I clicked on the link to learn why they rejected it, the page didn't load, so I don't know. I'm stuck with a flight I'm not going on, out of $250. Their online system is shoddy and often doesn't work. They didn't communicate with me that they rejected my claim. Terrible waste of money, and shameful that Delta partners with them. It's corporate greed and legalese at its worst. What's the point of travel insurance when they reject your claim anyways?

    COPIED FROM MY ACTUAL REVIEW THAT WAS SENT TO ANTHEM PER THEIR REQUEST FOLLOWING A PHONE CALL TO…read moreTHEIR INFORMATION CENTER ON 3/10/2026: On 3/10/2026 when I called Anthem, I was immediately transferred to an automated operator, however I could hear someone typing during parts of completing this phase. Once I spoke with DeAnna she was polite and courteous and answered my questions regarding coverage of an upcoming appointment. As far as this conversation is involved, DeAnna did a wonderful job. I placed the rating of two on this inquiry based on my past experience, which was over 10 years ago with Anthem, as well as my current experience with your company as a whole. My current experience is what earned Anthem a two, as my previous experience would not be as high. Over the past 10 years my insurance provider was Aetna. During my time with Aetna our plan was cost effective and covered all of the procedures we needed, with minimal or reasonable amounts of out-of-pocket costs. Also, during my time with Aetna I was never required to be approved by insurance before seeing a specialist or having a procedure unlike Anthem, both in the past, and currently per my conversation with DeAnna on today's date. In conclusion, my current subscription with Anthem was to evaluate your company and determine if the coverage was comparable to my previous plan before making an educated decision whether or not to return to Aetna during the next open enrollment. Having said that I am thankful that I had this experience so early in this fiscal year, it makes my decision much easier later this year. I do hope that Anthem improves in these areas as the majority of my co-worker's receive coverage from your company as they are not provided with the options to change providers at this time. I would strongly recommend that Anthem make a serious attempt to be a comparable company to their largest competitor in this state, at this time I do not feel that they are.

I am older and have health issues that need to be addressed. My provider has sent in 3 prior authorizations in one month, we have appealed their denials with no luck. I am now off meds that I need and they still don't give a damn. How can a doctor deem something medically necessary and an insurance company deem it is not? I hope they go under....I am moving on...
