We attended for nearly 6 months and NOT once did anyone make an effort to introduce themselves or try to get to know us. We made an effort by introducing ourselves but that's about how far it went. How this church got to be so large is beyond us!

We made the step to commit to growing spiritually above all else. Where we came from, the learning was very elementary. We enjoy the expositional style of preaching, and the ministry of the church. Our focus is to grow the vine, and not the trellis. Keep the attention upward, then inward, then outward. If you plug in, dig into the Word, and desire accountability to God, this is your kind of church. Do yourself a favor, and check out the statement of faith. Call the pastors up and discuss theology. Bring your family and come love the lord with us!

So many people came up and welcomed us. Pace is not the greatest speaker. And most sermons are asking for money for new building. If Quinn is speaking he is amazing. Overall not impressed.

Positive-Good messages…read more The worship used to be good but has become a show. This is a very cliquey church that has a group of "elites" who are in all the photos online, and run the show. There is not elders in this church so the pastor makes all decisions. Finances are never released or shown, including for the building project, so there's absolutely no accountability for finances, hiring and firing people, loads of interns, or on salaries. The staff is definitely not very friendly unless you have a lot of money and a certain look. If you are a wealthy Californian who has the right look, you are welcome here but the average working person is not.

In fact, I'm pretty sure I've NEVER seen ANYone wearing leather pants...at least not to church. Hey, by most accounts this is a kind of weird church. The services are kind of long, there's no children's church so the kids sit with their folks, they meet in a hotel, they often sing old hymns with no musical accompaniment, but they preach God's word. So check 'em out if you want to.
