As Christians, we are to be working to become more like Christ as we grow in our faith, we are to tell others about our Savior, and we are to fellowship with other believers to support each other in this goal. I love that this church is made up of genuine, God loving people who do just that. I love that there are no bells and whistles, there is not perfection, and that this is not a business. It's real life fellowship, and it's all about Jesus.

There are a fair number of places to review, unfortunately, out of the 10 I found maybe two of them provided me with information about what the group was studying, what the types of individuals were being served, Etc out of those 10 maybe two provided information about what was being studied and so on. The rest only provided the location and time. When I called the church to request that they urge the leaders of each group to provide complete information so that newbies like me could know what each group was studying the response I got from Gary was "well they're just volunteers." Ugh. This is not the kind of response that I would expect from a church that is serious about discipleship or Fellowship so I won't be attending. I recommend that anyone investigating this church take note. We are not here on this planet as "volunteers." That's a really sad sad description and I was very disappointed.

Positive-Good messages…read more The worship used to be good but has become a show. This is a very cliquey church that has a group of "elites" who are in all the photos online, and run the show. There is not elders in this church so the pastor makes all decisions. Finances are never released or shown, including for the building project, so there's absolutely no accountability for finances, hiring and firing people, loads of interns, or on salaries. The staff is definitely not very friendly unless you have a lot of money and a certain look. If you are a wealthy Californian who has the right look, you are welcome here but the average working person is not.

In fact, I'm pretty sure I've NEVER seen ANYone wearing leather pants...at least not to church. Hey, by most accounts this is a kind of weird church. The services are kind of long, there's no children's church so the kids sit with their folks, they meet in a hotel, they often sing old hymns with no musical accompaniment, but they preach God's word. So check 'em out if you want to.
