It felt like I was being upcharged for something that should have been detected and disclosed in advance. When I calmly pointed out that this felt like a scam and was ethically questionable, I was met with immediate hostility from the office manager, Linda. Instead of engaging in a professional dialogue, she became defensive, removed the $400 charge, and then had the audacity to tell me, "You should just be thanking us that we took it off," as though I owed them gratitude for not being overcharged for something I never agreed to in the first place. Later, when I attempted to call and speak to her respectfully, she cut me off and snapped, "Don't call me love," in an unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful tone. Her overall behavior was unprofessional and dismissive -- especially considering I was trying to resolve a legitimate concern about transparency and billing. What stood out even more was her attitude when I said I would be writing a review about my experience. She brushed it off and essentially said, "Go right ahead," making it clear she had no interest in accountability or improving patient care. On top of all this, I had the same procedure done a year and a half ago at a different dental office and only paid $300 with insurance. The discrepancy in price, coupled with the surprise charges and aggressive attitude, raises serious red flags about this office's billing practices and ethical standards. To be completely honest, I couldn't help but feel that Linda was especially dismissive because I'm a Black patient who dared to speak up and question what was happening. I didn't come in yelling or disrespectful -- I came in informed and concerned, and I was treated with contempt for it. Patients deserve honest communication, ethical billing, and to be treated with respect -- regardless of their race or background. The procedure I needed had me concerned since I made the mistake of looking it up online. I have to say that every member the office staff is spectacular. Dr Mancuso himself is highly skilled. He took time to answer all my questions and in doing so allayed my fears. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the two-hour procedure which was performed under local anesthetic. Despite having prior knowledge of what was being done, the procedure was painless during and after it was complete. There was surprisingly little to no discomfort during the healing process. I haven't gotten any services done by Dr. Zaffos but the few times I've interacted with him, he's very professional and gives genuine medical advice. I mostly see Dr. Mishel for liners. He's extremely professional as well, listens to any concerns I have and takes time explaining everything so there's no confusion about anything. All the reviews listed for them are really true. The team/assistants/hygienists working with the doctors are so nice. They really make it so easy to talk to them and not just about dental related issues. I leave every appointment with a smile on my face, which is so rare to say after leaving the dentist.

As for the dentistry, Dr. Saggar was great. My appointment was quick and to the point. The equipment was really cool- something my prior dentistry did not have. It made my cleaning very quick and pain-free. I appreciated sitting down with Dr. Saggar after my appointment to review what he saw and thought. Taylor at the front desk was so sweet! She was super helpful in making sure my insurance would be covered and assuring that it was all taken care of when I came in. As for dermatology, Dr. Banker was great. She was so thorough!
