To say that Anthony Vazquez photography was a perfect match is an understatement. Barbara and Juan were amazing in every aspect they did for photography; from where to stand, lighting, air movement to making sure the sun was hitting just right they were so impressive on their detail orientation. They both went above and beyond throughout the entire night with their team in getting all of our shots; leveraging multiple floors and levels to capture everything going on. We also used their company for videography and their team as well were extremely professional, easy to work with and collaborated with ourselves and the photography to ensure everything was captured in tandem and not conflicting. To the most amazing photo/video team, Thank you does not even begin to express our gratitude! We had so much fun spending the day with you all, capturing all the highlights of our day and night. Working with Anthony Vazquez Photography and Videography was the best choice we made when planning our wedding!!! Barbara was our lead photographer on the day of the wedding. Along with a fabulous, talented and professional team she captured our day in the most beautiful way. Every minute we felt comfortable and honestly enjoyed hanging out with them all day. They made sure everything was in place for perfect photos (including having to remind me to relax my shoulders for every single photo). Having received our photos at this point I can honestly say that we are absolutely thrilled with how they turned out. The hardest part was to pick from the hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous photos to create our album. We went back and forth with whether or not to have videography for our wedding, especially with all expenses already involved in planning a wedding. Anthony had shot my sister-in-laws wedding and did such an amazing job! I had fallen in love with her photo-book. All her pictures were gorgeous. You could tell Anthony took the time to get to know her and he captured her and her husband's personalities in their photos so perfectly. That's why I was so ecstatic to have him shoot my wedding. My sister and her husband hired Anthony Vazquez for their engagement shoot and their wedding on Long Island. Anthony was supposed to do the engagement shoot and then sent someone else in his place. Little did we all know this guy was actually better than Anthony. Anthony showed up to take pictures before the wedding but gave little to no direction, missed obvious focus points throughout the day, took off-centered photos and then left the wedding early because he "couldn't get tired and sick for his next shoot." Hiring Anthony Vazquez photography was one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding! I first found AV Photography on Facebook through a friend of a friend way back in 2010- looking at her wedding pics..I instantly thought, "Wow! Someday when I get married I think I want to use this guy!" I was still in college when I first followed and no where near the wedding phase of my life, but followed the page for years. Fast forward a few years and one of my best friends got engaged first and was having a hard time finding the right photographer. I told her about this page I followed on Facebook, "AV", and sure enough, she ended up booking him and used Juan as her lead photographer. She was so happy the way everything turned out and it became a funny joke that I recommended this random photographer I liked that I hadn't even used myself, or known anyone personally who used the! So naturally, when I got engaged and it was my turn to plan a wedding, I already knew of a select few photography companies in NYC and Long Island I had been eyeing for a few years and of course AV was on top of my list. After initially filling out an online inquiry to set up an appointment, Hyla as well as Anthony, got back to me right away. I was really impressed that Anthony, the owner, took the time to write me an email looking forward to the meeting, even though Hyla coordinated the appointment for him. Upon going to their office ( I must add they have made it a really nice space ) the staff greeted me and I sat down and looked through albums and pictures. I didn't have to wait too long to meet with Anthony and he even stayed later than normal because I get out of work late. I really liked what I saw and thought his packages were competitive with some other companies I was looking into. He told me if I was interested that for the 2nd appointment I would meet with Barbara, the photographer who would be available to shoot on my wedding day. I went to go look at just a couple of other photographers the days and short weeks after just so I had some basis of comparison and spoke to my fiance about each of them. He had zero interest (of course) and basically just by looking on AV's site and facebook albums, he was like, "just go with this guy- he's the best. Their style is cool." I still wanted my fiance to meet him because I am not great at decision making, and he knew right away after meeting that we'd go with them. When we met with Barbara, she was very sweet and enthusiastic and I knew she would be a piece of cake to work with, with my type-A personality. I explained to her my vision and wants and stuff like that and she knew exactly what I was looking for. We met with Anthony again briefly, and he was/is just a really cool, down-to earth, intelligent person. It was settled. We ultimately booked Anthony Vazquez photography before we booked our actual wedding venue - that's how confident / excited we were to use them! Fast forward a couple of months and we did our engagement shoot with Barbara in Central Park. It was a little difficult to schedule a time to do it and the days and times are extremely limited but that's because all of the photographers are so busy on weekends doing weddings! I got my engagement proofs back in exactly 1 week. Our wedding was in November at Oheka Castle and Barbara was our lead photographer, as well as Ashley and their assistant Luna. Leading up to the wedding, Lucille, the office manager was so easy to work and responds to emails so fast. Actually, everyone in the office responds to emails so fast. Anthony went out of his way and busy schedule to call me a few days before the wedding to wish us luck and to congratulate us. On the day of the wedding, everyone arrived ahead of schedule and ready to work it. Everything went so smoothly and they did the best they could to capture pretty much all of the shots I really wanted. A big important note was we were racing the daylight all day due to it being end of November! Of course, you can't get everything you want and sometimes there are some photos I wish I had but the day was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything more from their whole entire team. Everyone had such great energy. They worked so well and got along with our videographers and I was worried about them having to "share" time with us but it was so stress-free. We got our wedding gallery within the timeframe they mentioned we would get them even getting married during an extremely busy wedding season + the holidays in between and we are so pleased with how they came out. My friends and family are obsessed with our pictures and they are always raving and saying, "Wow you guys had an amazing photographer." The quality of their photos really shows it. When I compare my wedding photos to so many others I just know I made the right decision. The photos offer a nice mix of styles. I had a horrible experience with this business. I was scheduled and confirmed to meet with Anthony only to show up and be kept waiting for an hour. It was clear that they overbooked and have no issue with being late. An employee tried to make the wait less awkward by showing us endless photo albums and making conversation. In the end we were told we would not be getting Anthony as our photographer and he never even bothered to speak to us. Instead we were assigned another photographer who was also not around to speak on the day of our visit. After an hour of disappointment, the employee gave us some more details and sent us on our way. If their photographers have no issue with wasting people's time before they have their money, I can only imagine how they treat people once they have them locked into a contract. read more

I'm so happy we used Anthony Vazquez Photography for our wedding at the Stone Mill at the NY Botanical Garden last August. Anthony's team was easy to work with from the planning process through to the completion of the album. On our wedding day, Juan and his team were professional, efficient, and fun to work with! Our florist insisted that Anthony and his team was the BEST and he was RIGHT! I was absolutely obsessed with Barbara (my photographer and her assistant Trey, the day of my wedding and my husband and the guys LOVED Ashley!! It snowed the ENTIRE day the day of my wedding and they all trooped it out to NJ and not one complaint, no pressure on rushing, just cool and calm. My pictures are STUNNING, I'm not even sure how I'll pick out favorites for my album because there are just so many awesome shots captured. My husband and I didn't get married at a church and didn't want to do a first look, it just meant a lot to us to have that moment walking down the aisle be a surprise, so a majority of our alone shots were done during cocktail hour.
