I really wanted to love this place. I think it's awesome they have bar there but I was very frustrated with my manicure. I rarely get to do my nails (mom life) and I took a friend with me for a girl's day out. We both got dip manicures. I noticed the tools they used were not the cleanest. When they used the filing tool on us, we both got cut and bled a bit around our cuticles. I didn't really think anything of it at the time since accidents happen, but I don't remember them cleaning the tool before and after using it on us. Fast forward one week, my friend had to go to the ER for a nasty infection on her finger that's leaking pus and both of our nails are already chipping. For $60 each, this is quite horrifying. Myself and 2 friends came together and didn't even get sat next to each other. then while I was getting my full set with acrylic done and it didn't even seem like the nail tech knew what she was doing with the acrylic. i sat in the chair for an hour and the tech barely shaped (which I had to pay extra for) and filed them. each nail was uneven. it's been less than a week and my nails are cracked. as for my friends, both of them have chipped gel nails in 3 days and has now had to peel them all off. for the amount of money we spent, we are pretty frustrated and upset. will never be going back. read more

Staff washed their hands, had their clients wash their hands before getting started, as well as wore masks and gloves so it's relieving to see extra precaution taken during this COVID-19 craziness. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE. Let's start off with the pedicure, it was by far the worst pedicure I've had. The number of times I got stabbed with a tool is insane. Not only that but the basic is BASIC. They literally trimmed my toe nails, "cleaned them up," barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet, painted them, & sent me on my way. She cut my toe nails WAY too short and mind you I have acrylic on my big toes ... see photos... WHY... HOW... do my toe nails look THAT bad with acrylics... she also talked me into not getting a fill on my acrylic toes... which was probably for the best because look at my nails... they're all different shapes... I asked for VERY SQUARE ... I think there's one figure that's very square... not only that but I get acrylic on top of my real nails... I've been doing this for years... after the last finish's my nails she proceeds to SHAVE OFF my REAL nail under the acrylics.... WHY.... WHY... now when I go to get my nails redone I'm not going to have any real nail up under this. Lastly, I had one nail that I broke a while back so I had to add a fake nail on my pinky to get it the same length as the others.. this nail popped off LESS THAN 24 hours later... I have been to this salon twice. The first time I left bleeding and cried in the car to my friend how k hated my nails. It was like those TikTok's that say what I asked for vs. what I got. The second time I just wanted my nails trimmed down and a French tip. If I could give this nail salon 0 stars that would be a more accurate review. The past two times I've come my nails have chipped within a day. For background this salon is ridiculous I get dip done here and when I come back to get new dip done they want to charge you 10$ to take it off... are you kidding me I'm returning and giving you business. They recently raised the price of dip to $55 I got it done on a Thursday as I was going to a bachelorette in Mexico Friday. Saturday my nail is already chipped and when I called for trying to get in on Monday they'd only do it at 6pm. It's a Monday and you have now inconvenienced me and you won't let me come in earlier?? So I call back because I then had to fly to Dallas for work so I asked for a gift card so I could come back another time and get them done... they said it's one nail no. Well, not even 4 days later I have 4 nails chipped and it looks awful! Still unwilling to do anything. The customer service is absolutely terrible, quality terrible, pricing ridiculous. So after my conversation trying to get this resolved with the salon prior to writing this review it's safe to say I won't be coming back, nor will my friends and family who witnessed the lack of customer service and quality. There are so many better, cheaper, and customer friendly focused salons by southlands that actually care about keeping customers. Do your self a favor and go there! read more

I found it very rude that they speak their language and make fun of the customer, and they do not realize that customer can understand via their body language. This is by far the best nail place I've ever been to and I've been getting my nails done for YEARS. I see Julia and she's amazing!! I've never once had an issue with my nails. I have small nails (like a child ha) and she's always done a great job with removing extra polish or being careful to not cut me. I've been seeing her for 3 years now. I found out about Anthony Vince after a friend took me to the location off of Colorado blvd and I had an amazing experience twice before searching and realizing there was a location 11 min from my home in Parker. I have gone to the Southlands location twice now and am not impressed with the quality of work nor the management of client wait time expectations when "you have and appointment". It took 2.5 hours to get my nails done and I had an appointment. My nail technician buffed off my dip so aggressively I my nail beds were on FIRE!!! The aggressive buffing broke all my nail edges off to the extent the shape of my nail could be described as a blob (not squoval as I asked for). And even after ALL the buffing my nails are thicker than a a sea turtles shell. I don't recommend this nail spa as it is not the quality you would anticipate for the appearance and price. Hi Ashlee. I didn't feel comfortable speaking up because when I did the nail tech got defensive and said "I'm not done!". I didn't have another hour to have the tech complete my nails nor did I want to continue having them worked on because they hurt so much. Little did I know she had snuck over her to get her finger nails done already and was NOT impressed!! She tried to act excited about the very pricey pedi I set her up with! We came today and the salon is beautiful and clean (not Mom's experience when she came for her nails. She said was dirty)! The salon itself would get more stars. What brought the score down was the service. We walked in and were barely greeted. We were told to go wash hands as our greeting, at least we thought that is what he was saying. After that he gave us no direction on what to do it where to go. So by the time we were being sent to our chairs, we had not found our gel color yet and were super rushed through the process. I chose a pedi from the menu and yet the whole time she tried to sell me on extra things that were not included in the one I chose. It was not a relaxing pedi for many reasons!! The client next to me talked loudly in cell phone through much of her service. My technician was so rough with the scraper and some other tool she used around my nails, my feet/toes were tender for a couple days after. Mom's said the same about the bottoms of her feet. My ladies English was very poor; the mask didn't help, but I had no clue what she wanted me to do or what she was asking half the time. My nails were nice after, but they are for $20 cheaper too!! I expected to be pampered a bit more since this is a spa. Even my mom's VERY pricy 'Champagne Pedi' didn't include a drink and only lasted 5 minutes longer than mine which was $30 cheaper. My mom's guy was friendly, my lady was not; both were impossible to understand. Overall, not worth the money! In response to the salons comment: my mom paid $82 for her pedi before tip and it lasted only 5 minutes longer than mine. Your prices would be fine and competitive with other spa-like facilities, if the pedicures were anymore impressive than an those at a normal salon. I guess my expectations were too high given your reputation. I can appreciate that English is several of your employees second language; this is the case at many of the nail salons I frequent. However, in situations where the employees need to know the specific needs of a client, it is helpful if they can communicate more clearly. My mom had to ask if drinks were available, because her technician did not offer her a drink. When she asked, he had no clue want she was asking. She had to ask another guy that walked by. If they can't communicate the basics....that is pretty bad. Also, had the person at the front greeted us and been able to instruct us as what to do in a clear and professional manner, we would have felt like our business was more valued and had known what we needed to do. Over the phone I was told $42. Got a pedi went with the sugar scrub as well. Saw the price on the menu, no big deal. while getting my nails done she at first didn't paint my nails how I had asked. But was kind enough to explain the price breakdown which was not at all what I was told when I called. Want some added glitter, $5 more per hand. Everything comes with an added fee, including my pedicure! That she never once explained. When they rang me up. I mentioned they should have made things more clear, considering I had never been there before. Probably the most expensive nail service I've ever paid for. The guy who did my nails was alright even though he got up a lot to go do someone else's nails but he gave me exactly what I wanted so it's okay. The second time though is why I'm giving this place 1 star. I asked for a full set with design and the girl gave me the ugliest set I've ever had in my life.
