Second time I've ever been waxed and when the other location was not pleasant to me I made my appointment at this location. The associate who checked me in was nice and professional. The aesthetician was pleasant and professional. The entire procedure took less than 20 minutes from check in to payment. I didn't get the name of the aesthetician but she was good. She made sure to tweeze the hairs which didn't get waxed. And she made me feel at ease during the procedure. I would return. Plus there's lots of parking which is always nice. read more

I've been visiting this location for many years for brow and lip waxing and this is my first time with an incredibly bad experience, every other time has been mediocre. I was assigned to an obviously inexperienced tech (unfortunately, her name alludes me) who took 3+ pulls on my face in each location to remove the too-hot wax that had been applied. My results are fine, the job was done but, not without leaving a sizable amount of wax in my hair. I received my services for free however, no one on staff could offer a solution to removing the wax in my hair. read more

I saw Tamry for a Brazilian wax and also a wax of the back of my neck/hairline. I would never recommend her to anyone. Didn't explain what she was doing at any point. Didn't hold my skin taught. I ended up holding my own skin taught Bc she wasn't doing it. She got wax on my hand and finger and told me I could just pick it off later. When I got home, showered and actually LOOKED, I was so upset. Patches. I have PATCHES of hair left over. Not stubble, not hair that was too short to wax -hair! Hair that any other esthetician would have been able to remove. PATCHES! My bikini area looks terrible. Patches of hair everywhere. I can't believe I paid for this! My neck... I'd never had my neck waxed before, so ALL of my hair was longer, none of it had ever been shaved. None of it was ever stubbled. ALL of it was at least several inches long. You know the baby hair we have when we put our hair up in ponytails, ladies? THAT! That's what I was getting waxed. Well anyway, in addition to the random patches left over the sides of my neck... the part she did wax, looks like stubble. The hair wasn't pulled from the root, it was just ripped and broken off at the surface. Ouch. Which means she had no clue what she was doing and waxed in the wrong direction, even though she did it TWICE! So I got home and saw that I now have stubble around my neck. Wow. Great. Glad I paid for that. Now I have to wait a few weeks and pay someone else who actually knows what they're doing to wax it again. Thanks. Pictures attached. Pics are from the next morning. Oh! Also, she tried to sell me their products, ok fine. But I asked her what was in it and she said "Um, I don't actually know lol". Absolutely furious and in tears. Just got my eyebrows done by Janelle at this EWC. I came in telling her I was growing my eyebrows up, not to shape them, just to clean them up... And what do you know... She waxed them so thin that it barely looks like I have any eyebrows. With our wedding in a month I could not be more upset. The manager told the front desk girl I could buy their "restore it" serum... Um, this was not my doing, why should I have to buy the product? As soon as you walk in the door you'll meet Sid. She is friendly, helpful, personable and if she's ever had a bad day it would be hard to tell. Call in and you'll see it there, too. Good customer service is hard to come by, and she is an absolute breathe of fresh air. I've seen Sheyenne and Jennifer for regular services for the last 2 years. The 2 have similar waxing styles and are both super knowledgeable and gentle. I am chatty and they always seem up for a convo while they work. Getting waxed never the most fun thing, but it is so much better when you're paired with friendly, cheerful, and professional people. An enthusiastic thumbs up for cleanliness as well. Both the lobby and the treatment rooms are super clean. This branch is definitely the place to go for a good wax experience. read more

I have been getting waxed for around 10 years now and have had good & bad experiences across multiple EWC locations across the metro area. Jennifer at this location is the only one I will see and trust. She does an amazing job, she's friendly, she's gentle and always has friendly conversations. This place opened up near my home so I thought, let's give it a try. The first wax, as someone else posted is free. The first time I went, I received a warm welcome, explanation of services and of course, the push to purchase a "package". I was happy enough with my eyebrow wax. I will say though that my aesthetician had TERRIBLE bad breath! (not something you want in your face!) I decided to try it again a few weeks later. Again, the push for purchasing their "points" or package deal--it's a good deal I guess if you are always going to use the same technician. THIS time however, the room smelled smoky, the technicians breath smelled smoky AND I caught a glimpse in the trashcan and saw butts. Seriously!?!?! Again, my eyebrows were ok but I don't think I will be going back here. read more

I love that they use soft wax. Its beeswax based so it is easier on sensitive skin. My complimentary waxing was clean, quick and left good results. My aesthetician (Chardonnay) was friendly and polite so I was comfortable from the second I walked in. read more

I have been a devout client to Waxing the City but this place opened up closer to me so I gave them a try. I must say that I have been to other technicians but my favorite is Sarah. She is great. She's professional, quick, and I have never had a problem with the waxing services she has provided. I think I'm going to have to go to her from now on. There is absolutely nothing like a bad wax right before a beach vacation to mess with your short term self esteem. There is hair where there shouldn't be, NO hair where there should be, and my brow arches are DESTROYED and uneven. I paid $100 for sh$&! UPDATE: So after writing this review initially, the manager, Nicolette called me and wanted to know more and offered a complimentary leg waxing to try and keep my business. Absolute night and day difference this time. Obviously, it's going to be a bit painful no matter what, but the waxer, Jes, was fantastic. All the steps were followed, she explained everything she was doing so well, made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, and she was a lot of fun to talk to on top of all that! I will definitely be booking all appointments with her from now on and will continue to go here. I also thought it was a huge deal that Nicolette called and truly wanted to find out what happened the first time and keep my business. Definitely a great manager and European Wax is lucky to have her on their team. Changing from one to five stars! was really disappointed with my overall experience. This was my first time getting waxed ever and I did my full legs. I went on Saturday 3/11/17. The women at the front desk were really sweet and very helpful, but the waxing itself was not done according to their process that they swear by. The following paragraph was taken directly from their website (copied and pasted) on their 4 step process: First, we cleanse the area to remove any makeup, oils or lotions that may reduce the quality of your wax from taking place. Next, we protect the skin with our soothing pre-wax oil. Then, it's time for your wax! Finally, we rejuvenate the area by applying either our EWC Ingrown Hair Serum or our Slow It Body Lotion, depending on the area being waxed. The only thing that the waxer did (besides waxing obviously) was put the oil on my shins. Literally, shins only. I knew going in that this was going to be a bit painful, but wow, it was absolutely horrible especially on the inner thigh and back of my legs that she did not prep AT ALL. And the next day was even worse. My legs were absolutely aching and felt bruised. I asked a friend who has been getting waxed for a long time if that was normal for her and she said she never experienced that, not even her first time doing it. I can't say for sure, but I really do think it's because of the way that it was done. I'm really disappointed because I was looking forward to just waxing from now on, but if that's the kind of service that I'm going to receive (aka, not at all following their own business plan that they brag about), I will not be doing this again. I will never go here again. I went in for an eyebrow waxing today. The girl didn't do the 4-step process that they hype so much about (she left out the oil that keeps the wax from sticking so much to your skin, which helps with the pain). She wiped down my eyebrows extremely roughly with a cotton pad. It took her multiple waxes to get the under-arch area. She tweezed the hairs in the OPPOSITE direction of growth. I don't know if you've ever had that done before, but it's extremely painful. I even told her she was tweezing the wrong direction and she continued to do so. She left wax bits all over my skin. I was bleeding by the end of the session. I've never had such a horrible waxing experience in my life. When I called to make the appointment, the girl rudely told me that if I was 10 minutes late to 3 appointments, I could not make appointments with them anymore. I had never been late there for the previous two times. Was that really necessary? read more

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed here for a few years. They are quick and do a good job to not cause too much pain. Everytime I find someone I really like, they seem to leave. The turnover seems high. They are clean and the atmosphere is nice. read more

I went to get my eyebrows waxed here because I was new to the area and they offer free waxing to first time clients. Im glad it was free because I never would have paid for it. The front desk employees aren't very friendly. I've had my eyebrows waxed here a few times, with every technician I get they always wax only the bottom and barely the top, I always have to ask if they can wax more of the top to create a cleaner line. I usually end up tweezing hairs they missed a few hours after. The wax is nice though and the pain is nothing. read more

I usually don't write reviews and I'm sure you hear that often. They can go all over the board unless you experience them yourself. Anyways, I haven't gone to EWC until recently. My current aesthetician Jessica C. decided to go back from working her own business, She is very knowledgeable and where ever she goes, I go. She is awesome and a perfectionist. I've been going to her for years and I can't say how professional she is. I did try their EWC exfoliation product and it helped with the growth of my hair and my dry skin flake skin. Since, I've been waxing for years, my hair is finer and have seen less growth. If you do go, ask for Jessica C. and she take care of you. read more
