Hello, I came into the salon for a shellac manicure and asked if anyone was experienced in doing a French ombré manicure. I was told Tony was familiar with the ombré process, so I agreed to move forward with him. After he began soaking off my shellac, he told me the ombré could only be done if I switched to dip powder and that the cost would be $70. I showed him a photo of the exact French ombré style I wanted, and he confirmed that he could do it. Unfortunately, the final result did not turn out and does not look like an ombré manicure at all. Because I specifically asked in advance if someone was experienced with this technique and was told he was, I am very disappointed with the outcome. I am requesting a full refund for this service or to have the service redone by someone who is properly experienced in French ombré nails. read more

It's been a while since I've been here and my mom and I went together for pedicures and dip manicures. Pedicures were great. My dip manicure went well and I'm happy with the results my mother's however is a very different story and if this was reviewing just her manicure it would be a one star! We've been trying to get a hold of someone at the AV and the phone number listed keeps saying the phone number is "vacant" for the Wauwatosa location. My mother had a horrible dip manicure done Sunday it is SUPER thick and some are also bumpy her shape isn't even a manicure shape, he extremely shortened her nails which were quite long before the manicure! And she wanted to keep her length , her fingers were not cleaned up as you can see dried up dip powered on her skin which is normally cleaned off after using acetone, her tech kept getting up and leaving during the service for some reason so much so the women next to her even commented. The person who did her pedicure who was supposed to do her nails was pulled off of her service to take someone else that walked in for a gel pedicure ... as we were also supposed to be sitting next to each other for our service so then we were separated as well for this portion of the visit. I did reach out via message on social media since we couldn't get access over phone and haven't been able to make it back into the shop however no one has responded but the message has been read- my brother even commented to her about how thick her nails were! Do not go to Tony! I used to go to the Anthony Vince in Brookfield but I moved and am closer to this one. Decided to check it out today and what a disaster - I wanted dip on my natural nails which were all long. Not only did Tony file my nails way down but he also did a terrible job on what was left. The polish looks like blobs on my fingers and the shapes are so uneven. Definitely do not recommend! read more

I'll preface this review with a note that I don't get many manicures. More of a pedicure gal. I went to get my nails done with a friend before my wedding. When I tried setting up the appointment online, there was no option to make sure we could be together, so I called. I stressed multiple times that the 2 of us would like to be seated together. We get there and have to sign in on an iPad. When doing so, it says it is signing you up for something. I wasn't interested but was told I still needed to sign in anyways. Then, we were taken back separately multiple tables away from each other. We said yet again that we wanted to be seated together and we were made to feel like we were putting people out by trying to sit next to each other. This was my first gel mani so I wanted my friend's opinion and I feel good they wouldn't have liked me walking over to her repeatedly or shouting over people. My technician made the French manicure line really thick on the first round and it was frustrating to keep asking for it to be thinner. She also seemed frustrated with me for not understanding all of the steps, like where to wash my hands after she finished filing. By day 3, my entire right hand had chipped. I went back within 7 days to get it fixed and was assigned the same technician. I don't know if this is the time for a teachable moment, but sure. It was the same process as before but faster and she seemed even more remote than the first visit. Quite honestly, I just wanted to get out of there. I've had better experiences elsewhere. read more

I came back to get them fixed a few days later as my top coat started peeling right away and he was very rude and seemed annoyed when he had to fix them. He told me "You're done. Do not recommend. They really have no idea what they are doing. They don't use cuticle softener or clean around your nails. You will be in and out within 15 minutes, including polish you can tell that nobody cares about your nails. They're just there to get you in and out. I paid $200 for a pedi and gel-x manicure. I have been wearing gel-x for several years and specifically like them for their durability. I relocated so had to find a new place - while I liked the environment at this salon and the people were nice, they did not take their time to apply gel-x with correct technique. My top coat wasn't applied correctly so I had smudges and not shiny places. The first nail popped off within a week of getting them. I went back and they replaced the nail but it popped off again several days later. Two more nails began lifting and causing me pain the following week. This is not standard with gel-x, they usually last 4 weeks or longer for me and rarely come off. I can't recommend this salon unfortunately. read more

Set an appointment for the same day after walking in on a Saturday (July 2nd). I left and came back at my appointment time and had to wait. I was offered complimentary wine while I waited. I received a gel mani/pedi which I thought was worth it at first. On Monday (July 4th) I noticed that my polish color was changing. I picked a pink color, no mood change or ombré but for some reason my nails are yellow and pink. It was a holiday but I wanted to return on the next day to ask for a color change but I was worried that they would try to make me pay as if I'm the reason the color did not stay true. I had already spent $100 (bizarre) and was NOT willing to spend more to change the color. The picture below is what it looks like today. My nails have grown out but the color has looked like this since July 4th. The pink at the tips is the color my nails were when I got them done on the 2nd. No I didn't go swimming. No I didn't get bleach on them. No I don't work with chemicals. I barely wash dishes or submerge my hands in soap/detergent. read more

Today my usual tech was busy so I booked a dip powder manicure and spa pedicure with Quinnie. The pedicure wasn't bad. The manicure was nice, she made sure my nails were filed to my liking and took her time. I wanted to do multiple fall colors and one of the colors wasn't available so she found a substitute that worked perfectly. I've received service from Anthony Vince Spa three times (technically four) now: 2 pedicures, 1 gel mani plus a re-do within the seven day grace period. I will say that pedicures here are fine, but that's probably the only service l'll repeat here again. The first gel mani a received was not great- the polish was clearly old and looked chunky instead of sleek on my nails. Then it began to chip four days later. When I returned to get them fixed within the seven day grace period, the woman at the front desk was very gracious and nice. However, I was a little put off that she assigned the original tech to re-do my nails. We found a different color that happened to be a more fresh bottle of lacquer, and he seemed a little more careful this time. My nails looked a LOT better when I left the salon this time. However, the same thing started to happen again - chipping in four days. I did not opt to go back within the seven day grace period this time because quite frankly, I don't have time to sit in a salon chair every week to put my nails under additional stress. I've been receiving gel mani's regularly since 2013 (except during the height of the pandemic). This is the first time I've ever experienced deterioration of the polish so quickly. It's disappointing, but I'll be getting my gel mani's elsewhere. read more

Came here because I was excited about a nail salon with a wine bar, however I was never asked if I want anything to drink, but it looked nice. I just got the spa pedicure which is $38, which I'm very comfortable with. I opted to get no chip polish which is an extra 15. Kind of high in my opinion but I was willing to for it to last longer as I prefer no chip. What upset me is I was then further charged $5 for the polish removal (uninformed of this charge--most salons will do this for free if you're paying for a service), and $10 for French which I was uninformed of when I decided to do it. If you're going to tack on 30 extra dollars, essentially doubling the cost of the pedicure; you need to inform your customers beforehand. If I knew I'd be paying 68 for it, I would have gone somewhere else, taken my polish off myself, and stuck with just white polish. The pedicure itself was not very relaxing. My toes do look good, but I'm just not happy blowing now over $80 with tip for this. $68 for a basic pedicure is ridiculous and I won't be coming back to do it again. read more

The inside of the salon is beautiful, they have the cutest bar area (I want to go back later in the day next time to get my nails done so I can have a cocktail during the service) and everyone was so friendly. There were three technicians available for a service at 5:45pm when I looked online (again 1 minute before I called location). PENNY answered the phone without a greeting to the salon, stating her name, or asking how she can help. I stated I just looked online and I would like to schedule an appointment. PENNY asked "today?". To which I stated no sorry, I would like an appointment tomorrow please and explained how I saw online less than a minute ago that there were three openings at 5:45pm. PENNY made an unsure noise and stated "no, would you like 6pm?". So I asked "oh, I saw three technicians available for 5:45pm, is your website not in live time? (is there a delay in updating?). PENNY stated no. I then restated that "I just looked online and there were three technicians available for 5:45pm." PENNY said "do you want the 6pm or not?". I confirmed "no, I would like the 5:45pm with once of the three technicians that were available online please". PENNY hung up on me. I called the location again. PENNY answered the call, clicked two buttons, and hung up. I called again. PENNY answered the phone "hello?". I said "hello, can I please ask who I am speaking with?". PENNY said "this is PENNY, and what's your name?". I ignored the question of my name and asked "Are you the same person who answered the phone a minute ago when I was looking to schedule an appointment at 5:45pm?". PENNY said "no". I said "are you sure because" to which PENNY interrupts me stating "the call must have dropped". I replied "no, it didn't drop, you hung up on me and I would like to speak to the manager please". PENNY raised her voice to respond with"I don't understand why your being so difficult!". I stated "I would like the 5:45pm that was available online when we started this interaction". PENNY responded saying "someone called and held those appointments for four people and they are going to call me in an hour back IF it works for their schedules". I stated "oh so your website is not in live time then". PENNY said "yes it is". I then requested "can I hold a 5:45pm and call back and let you know that works for me?" PENNY hung up on me AGAIN.
