The best dip manicure I've ever had. The staff was very friendly. The salon was clean. There are a ton of colors to choose from. My manicure lasted 4 weeks! No chips at all. I was searching for a mail place open on Sundays--so many aren't anymore.. But IQ Nails is! I went in as a walk-in as it was a football Sunday and I got seated immediately for my basic pedicure. They had so many colors to choose from and the physical space of the salon was bright and open. Amy opened new tools in front of me which was comforting. She made my toes and feet look perfect for my upcoming beach trip--the extra five dollars for the callus treatment was openly stated in their menu and it was so worth it. The basic pedicure included a massage (not rushed at all) and the warm towel--I feel like lots of places don't include that anymore either so I was so happy with what I got! While the salon enthusiastically welcomes and recommends cash, they do not pressure that form of payment, they do not add an extra charge for card payment, AND you can add tip after you provide your card. Again, not all places offer all of the options for payment anymore. I'll for sure be back and will make an appointment to ensure I get Amy again :) read more

Terrible customer service. Appointments are not honored. First, my mother in law called to make an appointment with Steve. Showed up to her scheduled time only to be told her appointment was a different time. Fine, she goes back a couple of hours later and then is told she made the appointment with Andy and not Steve, because clearly those two names sound alike lol. Fast forward 2 weeks. I call to make an appointment with Steve for Saturday morning. Once I get there he tells me my appointment was for the previous day and I was a no show. He proceeds to tell me when I spoke to him I asked for "Friday," but in reality I scheduled the appointment with a woman who answered the phone. He was just getting started on someone's full set. I refused to sit there and wait an hour past my appointment to be seen. Needless to say, I walked out. So beware with scheduling appointments! Be prepared to wait if you want or find a different place that pays attention to scheduling. read more

This is one of my favorite places in Milwaukee to go get my nails done- no one does it like Steve. Honestly he does an amazing job always and a great price too. However, this last time they had a little girl (12 or 13 years old?!) do my nails and she did a great job don't get me wrong, but I come there expecting the same quality as the adult nail technicians. There were some mistakes and I had to gently guide her if I saw imperfections while she was doing my nails. My dip nails usually last for 4-5 weeks after getting them done with the guys, but this time my nails are already cracking and falling off after 2. Definitely disappointed. As a customer, I hope to get the same treatment as everyone else and not get a little girl who is just learning. Just something to watch out for. Next time I will be specifically asking for an adult nail tech lol read more

Went here today and the lady I had was so aggressive with my nails. She kept poking me really hard and it hurt. When she filed my nails she kept hitting the other nails with the filer and blamed it on me and told me to stop moving! She didn't even clip my cuticles smh. She was also on her phone A LOT in the beginning. She would pull it out of her desk and text for 4-5 minutes. SO RUDE!! Never coming back here again. Felt like I was being rushed through my appointment, but oddly it took the tech over an hour for my acrylic fill. I called to make an appointment but when I got there, there was no one to do my nails. I ended up sharing a tech with another gal in the salon. Overall, gel polish chipped within days, peeling off, as well as my nails peeling off from the base/cuticle. I went here because my normal salon was not open on sundays, will not be returning. read more

I was looking for a place to get my nails done as I am new to the area. My friend brought me here bc she had been coming. I got a pedicure and it was good...and i got a full set done by Steven. Ok first of all, the technique he did on my nails were amazing. I hate bulky nails and he did them and they looked so natural. So update i did go back and i made an appointment for me and my daughter and had to cancel hers late minute...they were very accommodating and they did an amazing job. Steven has gained a new client. Called to make an appointment for two manicures and they were able to get us in later that same day, which was great! The salon was clean and the technicians were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, only two technicians were working and it seemed like they overbooked their schedule. My friend and I both felt like our appointments were somewhat rushed, which was a little disappointing. I've been to this Salon twice, the first time for a manicure and dip application! The application was fine but the tech, attempted to address my cuticles after applying the nail polish? She didnt push back the cuticles and did just a quick trim, no lotion or massage! My next visit to remove the dip stuff and do a manicure and regular polish was worse! She dipped my fingers in a hot stinging bowl of something instead of a cotton ball on each nail to soak off the polish, then she tried to tell me to be rubbing my finger tips with a cloth in the bowl while she played games on her phone! She obviously didn't know much English and wasn't very nice! My nails were not entirely clean when she wanted to start applying the polish! I had to suggest she buff them off first! I also had to mention addressing my cuticles! At one point after applying 2 coats of color, I asked to dry my nails a bit more, so she got up and left, not comment, and she never came back? After about 10 minutes another girl came, applied the top coat, said nothing to me and checked me out! I was shocked by the rude, insensitive treatment at this Salon, I would never go back and find it hard to believe the rating they had on Yelp! read more

I've been to the salon twice now and both times I have been blown away by how great of a job Steven does! Steven owns this shop and he works there alone with one other man. Both of them do an outstanding job, take their time, and ensure that you are getting exactly what you want. My only complaint is that Steven tends to double book or overbook appointments and so the appointments do take extra long or you may have to wait a long time. I've had to wait an hour despite having an appointment. Just make sure to make an appointment before you go in. Despite the wait time everything about this place is fantastic! read more

awful customer service. You could tell they were overbooked because there were 5 customers and 3 employees. The girl who STARTED my nails would not even let me have the length I wanted. Then halfway through steven took over and ended up making 6/10 of my cuticles bleed and still did not even work on the cuticles. So I came to this place because they were the first to reply to my yelp request and able to squeeze me in last minute--so I guess that should've been my first clue. I asked for an appointment at 5:15, they had it. I showed up at 5:12 and there were 3 technicians available. All three had clients, so I knew I'd be waiting, even though I had an appointment. When I asked what the wait was, they asked me to choose my colors and sat me in a pedicure chair. They soaked my existing gel off for about 20 minutes. Literally nothing else happened during this time, even though I was there for both mani and pedi (because everyone was busy and nobody was free to start my manicure). Someone finally came to start at 5:40, I'm not sure, but I think at the expense of another client (I saw her just sitting there..?). Then, half way through my pedicure he leaves to go back to the other girl. Basically, they overbooked and should've been honest and told me to go somewhere else. I was on a tight schedule and initially came for a mani pedi but only ended up getting a pedi because I ran out of time. I just think it's ridiculous to provide an appointment and not hold up to it. This place is new or under new management? They should definitely be trying harder. As far as the quality of work, mediocre at best. Not a lot of attention to detail, but I think this is because they were spread thin. The only good part was the foot massage at the end. I received the dip set, and it was the best nail experience I've had in Wisconsin. Cleaned up my cuticles, my hands were soft and supple, and the massage almost put me to sleep. I had high hopes for this place. My original nail tech moved so I thought Steven would be a good substitute. I referred a friend as well to him. I went once and he was running a little late-no big deal. The second time, I came for my appt and he was working on someone and no where close to being done. Luckily I had no commitments afterwards so I was patient. 35 min later he started on my nails. As he checked the previous girl out he gave her a discount. I was hoping he'd then give me one since he double booked but NO! He charged $10 more than the first time for a "soak off" fee. This soak off is no different than a soak off for Dip polish. Last I need to mention, another woman came in while he was working on me ( of course he was running late), he sent her to his brother and when she was checking out, he told his brother to give her $5 off. Had a 6:30 pedicure. As toes were drying, technicians and owners putting on their coats.. telling us to wear flip flops home on a cold winter night. We stayed so as our nails could dry. Rushed into putting on socks and shoes. Once home I realize all polish is smudged off. When I called back to discuss, no price adjustment was offered. Very shady service that evening.
