I really like the unique home goods and clothing that is the hallmark of Anthropologie. Whenever you walk into one of their stores you're likely to find something both different and intriguing. Unfortunately, I only wish my wallet loved Anthropologie as much as I do - their merchandise is NOT cheap! :-( This particular link in the chain sports some very friendly staffers, and there's almost always something on sale with resulting prices that can staunch my wallet's bleeding enough to save the patient from mortal harm ;-) Bottom line: If you want something unique and intriguing, and the Gods of the Sales are in your court, then I suggest you come by Anthro and see what there is to see. I was never greeted or offered help while shopping even though the store was almost empty. I was told the store was "closed" the minute the store closed. For a supposedly high end store the service was lousy and I wouldn't wast my money on say a $50 candle or $200 piece of clothing. read more

Was so excited to find the perfect pair of jeans, and they were on sale, and there was an additional 40% off of the sale price. Amazing! Until I got to the register and was told that they were mistakenly put on the sales rack. Mistakenly marked as on sale for $99.99. They were full length and only the cropped style was on sale. So for $150, I said no thank you. Poor customer service to not even offer to honor the "as marked" price imo. read more

It's a big and beautiful store, but I agree with the other like three people who complained about the lack of friendly service. We were followed around and one associate literally stopped in her tracks when she saw my kids and made sure they weren't going to touch this furry-rug like thing hanging. I let them touch it and audibly said "be gentle " to kind of assuage the associate's fears. Not sure what she was afraid of as I, their mother, was standing right there. It was funny bc at first I thought she was going to say like "hi" to the kids or whatnot, but nope just had the sternest look at them...and us adults! read more

This is one of the worst anthros I've been in. I worked at a different Anthropologie for over 3 years so I know what the standards should be. I am never greeted in this store or spoken to. It is not welcoming. I've tried to return an item and the employee (an older woman) returned all the money to the original payment method instead of store credit without asking my preference. The item was a gift so I had to explain to the person who gave it to me that I returned their gift and then they had to send me money. No apologies or help offered after that. I am always disappointed when I leave this location. read more

I like the store... or at least my (joint) bank account likes the store. This location at Albuquerque Uptown is appropriately located, as it wouldn't fit in anywhere else in this town. The selection is... what the selection is (read: why does my significant other want to come here again?). And the prices are... what is to be expected (e.g. a man's perspective says "expensive!") Today's review is on the employees. Or more specifically, the employee AT THE REGISTER checking out her iPhone. Some stores have a no-call, no-text policy. Business was continual during the 45 minutes I was in the store... so why was she on her phone during my checkout? Bottom Line: good stuff here, if you're into Anthropologie. Find an older, more experienced sales person. They're less likely to drop you for the next "hot Tweet" on their iPhone. read more

I love Anthro. Their clothing doesn't look great on me, so this review is on their home goods. I can't in good conscience buy their inventory at full price, so I tend to browse their clearance racks and shop more during their twice a year big sales. It's great that you can get high end, artisan china and serve ware for reasonable (sale) prices here. The stuff is always unique and I usually get comments on their items when we entertain. I also have their hooks and knobs throughout the house. The variety and unique inventory gives you tons of options for spicing up your home, and their stuff lasts and lasts. read more

I went into this store for the first and last time today. Horrible Service, no one asked if we needed help and when we went to check out they treated us like we were not worthy to shop in their store. Not to mention that every item in that store is horribly over priced and quite frankly ugly. I know that people are cautious because of this COVID but if you are that scared STAY HOME!!!!! I love Anthropologie. There is always a friendly welcoming vibe unusual for this price point and the ABQ uptown Anthropologie is one of my favorites. The garments are pricey but the quality and craftsmanship have consistently exceeded my hopes (although I do generally wait for sales and mark-downs). The other night Lisa worked tirelessly to help me get the size I wanted in a pair of pants that have been hard to find in stores. I was impressed when she and Alyssa used their little Anthro "phones" to help me order the pants I had fallen in love with. This ingenious use of technology (using a smartphone like a computer, to ship a garment to the customer's door) coupled with kick-ass customer service made my night. Came here a few days ago to browse the sale section looking for work clothes and I walked out with a nice gold crossbody bag... I'd been looking all over at Target, the mall, TJ Maxx, and Marshall's for a new handbag for weeks and this one just caught my eye! Let's just say I would buy almost literally everything in stock at Anthro in the summertime, down to the dishes, cocktail books, bedding, and clothes. I think I spent 30 or 45 minutes in here burning time before I had to pick someone up. It's really worth going in to look around at least. And when I checked out, the nice employee (guy) at the front was super friendly and conversational and I walked out feeling thoroughly glad of my purchase. read more

From the time I stepped into the store there were three women working at the front register and none of them greeted me. I wouldn't take that too personally, except, the woman who came in right after me got greeted. Then, in every section of the store I was in, one of the saleswomen kept running into me. That could have very well been a coincidence, but I felt like she was following me. She never asked if I needed help, just kept winding up in every corner I would try to shop in. So after no help and feeling like I wasn't welcome, I decided to leave. read more

I love Anthro, and I'm very pleased that the Burque has one. It's a very large store, and they allow dogs to enter. The sale section is pretty big, compared with other Anthro stores that I have been to. read more

I used to love this store and would shop it every time I was at Uptown. Just a heads up-they closed their restroom to customers. A giddy employee told me the closest one was at the Target across the street or at the Pottery Barn that had already closed for the evening, don't even get me started on their dumb store hours. Well this is my favorite clothing store and im so happy there is one in Albuquerque otherwise I don't know what'd do with myself. It's so hard to buy their clothes online because they are all different brands and the fit of them is so different from piece to piece... Anyway everyone here has been very helpful and pleasant. The only thing that makes this store not get 5 stars is that the sale section is kinda small and not that great. In many of the other anthropologies there are huge sale sections even in their own "room" not just 3-4 little racks... They have a good selection of home stuff but also quite smaller than many other stores which is fine with me because I'd rather buy clothes. Also the music playing in the store is usually pretty good! Great location in uptown where I can go to jcrew and Ann Taylor/loft all at the same time! read more

The worst experience! I would give a negative 5 stars if I could. I was on a business trip in Albuquerque, so I went to this store after reading 4star reviews. I was there for 40 minutes, and practically was mere air to the store staff. There was't a single soul from the staff to acknowlege me or to offer help. So I decided to leave rather than bother the staff who clearly neither available nor care. I live in Denver and indeed feel very fortunate to be able to always find friendly and helpful staff in the Anthropologies stores there. read more

Worst Anthro I've ever visited. Although I am loyal to this company, ABQ store management is rude to the point of outrage. I stopped in after dinner to try and quickly finish up my Holiday shopping and was unpleasantly coerced out of the store. I have never been rushed out of a store at closing time in my entire life. Shocking treatment of customers by the store manager: "...we've been open for 12 hours...". I would do your Anthro shopping online if you don't wish to be forcibly harassed out of the building. read more
