The Vibrant chicken soup was outstanding, with practically one whole sliced avocado, & a dozen other vege's and spices; V happy if u a Mexi soups fan. My husband and I along with a guest ate here last Sunday. We ordered taco salads and my guest ordered a Quesadilla. The salads had a little unflavored hamburger, a little lettuce , 4 little squares of tomato. It was completely bland and tasteless. I thought quesadillas were deep fried but this was like raw dough. I had a great meal after a day out at a work site. The Camarones a la Diabla was a great choice. Plenty of shrimp, rice, and guacamole salad. The corn tortillas were just right for the portion size. The guacamole dip was delicious. My server was very attentive and the time from order to hot & fresh on the table was very quick. The entire dining room staff was very friendly and helpful. The absolute worst place you can order food from. These people actually blame their customers for their mistakes! if you don't have something in the bad and u let that door shut behind you they won't give it to you. It's literally posted in hand writing on their door now because they get SOOOO many complaints from their customers they are not treating their customer as the problems! I'll begin by saying we enjoyed everything we had. That started with the thin chips and salsa. The salsa was perfect - not too spicy and I only got one hint of cilantro. I got lunch special 1 - a chili poblano, a taco, and beans. The poblano was quite large and had great flavor. I had asked for a chicken soft taco but got a hard one served to me. It was also good despite not being exactly what I ordered. My husband got lunch special 5 - supposed to be a burrito and a taco. I say supposed to be a burrito because he got what seemed to be an enchilada. It was folded and not very much filling was inside and it was covered with enchilada sauce. Burritos usually have more filling, are rolled up to be eaten by hand, and don't have sauce unless they are a "wet" burrito. Because the filling was skimpy, he was still hungry and thought it was overpriced for what he got. The place is pretty small inside, but there is another room outside. Service to our table was slow. Two tables that arrived after us got their food before us. Just an FYI - we were told the lunch specials stop at 2, not 3 like most other places. read more

For a little place in a strip mall next to Walmart outside of town, this place was a pleasant surprise! Let's just start with the chips which were thin and crispy, so addictive to eat! I should have had nachos with this chips! I had the enchiladas verdes with chicken. The plating was nice! I love it when the kitchen takes the extra time to make your food pleasant to look at before you dive right in. I finished every bite in my plate, so you can decide what I thought of the food! I'm not sure why it's rated five stars, but when considering the options in the area, that might have something to do with the rating. I was suspicious of the 3 recent (excellent) reviews but I was in the mood for Mexican - and it was super close - so I jumped in. Arrived early, 5pm on a Wed, and to my surprise, there were several patrons already dining. Small place, 4 person bar, but promptly greeted and given a select booth. Wasn't sure if they offered draft beer since I didn't see any beer handles, but they do! 5 draft beers if I remember correctly, in 3 different size frozen mugs. I'm "drinking" my carbs these days instead of eating them, so I was looking for a great dish that wasn't a salad but lacked chips, tortillas, rice or beans. Well,,,,, I found it (with a slight modification). On the Especial menu, it was the Texas Hot Cheese (or Top Cheese, can't recall after the yummy beer) and requested lettuce in lieu of the rice and beans. Perfection! Steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, mushrooms, and spinach under melted cheese and my lettuce was topped with pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. Delicious! Service was excellent, beer was cold, and the food makes me want to come back for more, very soon!!! By the time I left (5:45pm), all of the preferred seating was full. The first time I ate in the restaurant, it was great. I stopped in for a to go order for me and my husband. The guy at the register had a hard time understanding my order but was very friendly and finally got it. He went out of his way to get my order the way I wanted it. I give them 5 stars for that. BUT I couldn't believe the small portion they gave me on my fajitas and also the beans and like 6 pieces of shredded lettuce. My husbands was ok except the salad portion in his chimmi changas.
