Love the atmosphere of this place. The cute themed blow up avocado and cactus characters out front make this place stand out. The food and service were great. Pretty good size portions. You may want to ask for a half size order if possible, unless you enjoy left overs, in which case, disregard. Recommend their Carnitas. They do have diet Coke, and Coke zero product. There is a bar, music and a big screen TV. There seems to be plenty of seating, although the seating may be a little uncomfortable, depending on the kind of chairs that you're used to sitting in. The chairs could use some cushions. Plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday night before 7:30 pm, there was no wait time and we were seated immediately. $56 after tip for two adults, but one of us only ordered a half portion. So it could easily approach $60-$65, after tip for a date night, with no alcoholic drink orders. Feels a tad pricey for Mexican food, but that's why I suggest asking if your order is half portion eligible. read more

Went here tonight to try one of their swirled margaritas and food. 20 minute wait to get in and finally got seated outside. Ordered the drinks and placed the food order. The chips/salsa and drinks came out in a timely manner. That's when it went south. One basket of chips does not last too long between 3 people. Server was not to be found for about 25 minutes later when he brought the food out. Fajitas were just warm, and the beans and rice on the salad plate were cold. I mean the cheese on the beans was solid again, that cold. We wert in there after prime dinner time, maybe server not on his game? Swirled margs were not in menu, so didn't know how much they were until I got the bill. Ended up being like $18 each! In any case, not worthy of a return trip, sorry. read more

Enjoyed a great meal last night with The wife, my step-son and his fiancé. We noticed how busy this place has been since we moved in a little over a month and decided to try it. The menu is extensive with many options due to satisfy the most picky of eaters. The wife has the Camarones Hawaiian and I had two street tacos with a side of Chile Rellenos. Had dinner here two nights in a row as I travel to Cartetsville for business and both were absolutely delicious. The service has been fantastic as there were warm and friendly. Both nights they made some delicious recommendations, size of the meals were very generous and plentifully. My coworkers and I enjoyed sitting inside and outside where it was beautiful in the evening. A large party ordered at least 5 appetizers for the table and our favorite is the fresh made guacamole and cheese. The seafood was delicious from what o can see, burritos and tacos fresh and all the drinks were amazing. For us to do two nights in a row means their menu is has so much variety that we didn't have the same meal twice. Great hours so it's a must visit when traveling for work. read more

Food.was delicious. However, the first menu they brought had wet food inside. Then the 2nd one has dried food on the front. The table had some dried food too. Hubby didn't love his margarita, but it was just " different" The food was good enough to try again BUT if things aren't cleaner, we won't be back. I hope they read their reviews cause cleanliness is an easy fix and one of the most important parts of having a restaurant. read more

Great friendly staff, good prices, nice vegan choices although would prefer more consistent answers about the rice (what kind of broth is added), refried beans (does it contain bovine products), and other menu items. All in all, a good weekly place with wonderful servers. read more

I've finally found a great Mexican authentic restaurant in Georgia! I recently moved here from California and tried tons of places and either the seasonings weren't right, the tortillas taste like cardboard or the meat was funky and this place hit the jackpot to my style of taste. It's always hard to find a good Mexican food place because of course my mom is the better cook when it comes to it. I will say I am satisfied here! I wish I could give an accurate rating, but it seems tonight was not my night. Called to order carnitas and the lady asked me to hold on, so after listening to the kitchen for 10 min I hung up and called back... But had to keep trying because the phone was off the hook. They sounded busy and these things happen. When I called back she took my order, my food came out in a paper bag. I paid and went home. Pulled in my garage and got the bag out of my back seat area and the bottom of the paper bag just fell out. All the pico, lime, guac, etc went all over my garage floor. Maybe the restaurant will read this and think to start using plastic... Perhaps with a square of cardboard in the bottom to make it flat or whatever. This was my first visit, I always get carnitas on my first visit to a Mexican restaurant. I tried to eat a little, just the meat and a tortilla was not appetizing. Food looked okay by my garage floor... I don't know if I'll ever go back though. The only reason I'm making this post this that maybe this will keep somebody else from having the same experience as I did if they get to go. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I didn't get all my food for one, got sick, and the food we did before, which was three entrees , a drink, and four bags of chips and salsa came up to $80. Every time I called the establishment to get a refund for the food making a sick and missing items they tell me the manager isn't there. read more

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We celebrated a family event here, and they handled it with class and expertise! We stopped here after an impromptu trip to Cartersville to pick up a car part. The menus can be scanned at the table using your smart phone. The food was excellent. I ordered carnitas w/rice and beans, a jumbo Texas Rita on the rocks, one son got a chicken and cheese quesadilla w/French fries. My other son order beef tacos w/french fries. We also ordered a large cheese dip w/jalapeños. I'm used to the jumbo margaritas at the restaurants closer to Roswell (32 ounces). When this one arrived it was 64 ounces. It was yummy however there is no way I could have finished it. I'm glad I wasn't driving. The restaurant was packed and did not appear to be following social distancing. All of the tables were seated. There weren't skipped tables inside or outside. All the servers were wearing masks however I did see one server with his mask consistently pulled below his nose. read more

I usually don't rate restaurants poorly, but I am baffled by the high rating of this place. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The place is much smaller than I had expected, but the staff greeted us kindly and sat us promptly. I ordered a skinny margarita which came so fast I could hardly get my napkin unfolded and placed in my lap. When we walked out I noticed the pre-made margaritas churning in the machines, and sadly this margarita was weak and missed the mark for me. You can always tell if a Mexican restaurant is good or not by their salsa, and unfortunately, theirs caters to a more bland palate. We asked for a spicier salsa and they brought out their tomatillo salsa, which from the name, I assumed would be green. It wasn't. It was spicier, (not very spicy in my opinion), but lacked depth of flavor. At that point my husband and I said we didn't have much faith in the food. I ordered Pollo Margarita, which the menu description read: Grilled margarita chicken breast on a bed of rice or whole black beans, topped with melted shredded cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado slices and tortilla strips. I added fresh jalapeños and chipotle sauce. When it arrived, it was a plate with beans, and chicken breast covered in chipotle sauce with thick, uncooked jalapeño slices over the top. I asked the server where the other topping were, and he stated that they come on the side. Yeah ok, not according to the menu. This was the sole reason why I chose to leave this review. I hate when a server tries to gaslight me. Just admit that it is wrong and bring it back the right way. Instead, he came back and brought the toppings on the side. I asked were my cheese was, he went back and grabbed some cheese sauce, which I despise, hence why I ordered something with melted shredded cheese. My chicken was over cooked, but edible. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't what I ordered. My husband ordered the mixed fajitas. They didn't taste like fajitas, and both the chicken and beef tasted like jerky because they were so tough and over cooked. He was starving so he ate it, and had no intentions of taking his leftovers home. Pretty disappointing, won't be returning. read more

Ok we recently moved to Cartersville, and wanted some Mexican food..so I yelped it and El Charro had good reviews, so we decided to go see what is all about...so my sis ordered some taquitos Dorado de carnitas, my wife ordered vegetarian food.. And I ordered a molcajete with all the meats...to give it a try...my sisters taquitos were dryer than Arizona dirt, my wife's food had no flavor..my molcajete was not good at all...lack of flavor, was totally disappointed..I gotta say tho..the only thing I enjoyed was the sides..Rice and beans..and not to mention the alcoholic drinks...not bueno...maybe I need to open a restaurant and teach you guys what real food is about...not coming back... read more

I would give it a zero stars, if they would let me. The food was NOT good. The chips were stale and the salsa tasted as if it came from a can. We should have stopped there. Unfortunately we ordered the Fundido to split. It was awful. Between the two of us, we ate less than a forth of the meal. We had to stop for something else on the way home.
