They are all very responsive, respectful and kind. Their community engagement is 2nd to none. One morning when I was driving my kids to school, my children wanted to wave to an officer at are stop light . The officer not only waved back, but he had a conversation with my kids about our cat and the officers cat. It was pretty funny hearing my 4-year old twins speaking to this officer at a red light about are cat and theirs. It made my kids day. Another interaction was with Cpl. Lou, who pulled me over for a minor infraction. He spoke to me kindly with respect. He asked for my documents, and while he was waiting for them he held a brief conversation with me about a topic I brought up. He ran my information and gave me a warning. Lastly, I was pulled over by Off. McBride for an expired registration. I didn't realize my req was expired (100% my fault) and he brought it to my attention. He was very kind, respectful, and informative. He wrote me a fix-it-ticket and explained in detail how to take care of it and resolve it. Again, it was 100% my fault I let my reg lapse, so I can't be mad about a ticket. Like I said, BPD is the gold standard of small town police departments. They are hiring excellent officers who are doing an excellent job of keeping Brentwood safe. I feel safe when walking around at night with my kids and that's a great feeling.

Parents have lived here for two years, the only staff worth mentioning are the ones who maintain the property as it's beautiful. But a beautiful property doesn't mean much when the staff is terrible. Why is it always the managers who have the worst attitudes? I used the gym as a guest (dad has Parkinson's so I am helping my mom out, as I work remotely) for a few weeks. The woman at the front desk would not return good mornings, have a nice day, literally glared at me daily Was actually told to leave the property with a guest pass around my neck after two weeks of using the facility. If you have any intention of letting guests of yours use the facility. Think again. Go elsewhere.

I remember this bridge being wooden and very rickety. I also remember my parents letting me pay the toll person handing them 50cents through the car window! Then $1...then $2 and so on. Now the toll is a crazy $5 dollars. I'd think the bridge was paid for by now. On the Sherman Island side there is no toll. And that's where you used to be able to park your car then walk along the path under the bridge and up to the water at Mayberry Slough and put your poles in the water and fish. Not anymore.

There are no closed door rooms for a study area. All that is in the open. That was the only thing I didn't like. The Place was very clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. Come in the morning if you want to get some quiet time and work down. Anytime after 3pm school kids will be out and it gets pretty loud in the small spaces. Overall it is a good place to visit and rent books and movies. Also I love the new updated version of self checkout. Plus in case you get hungry it's a taco spot right in the same building. Haven't tried the taco spot yet though.

They have lots of selections to choose from and if they don't have it in hand, they can locate it for you. They'll notify you once they receive it so you can pick it up. All Contra Costa libraries do and they all swap books. It is so convenient here and very friendly staff.
