It is true he can do a root canal in 1/2 hour, mine took 10 minutes.My question is, are all these invasive damaging root canals needed, answer NO. In my case it was a ploy to con me out of several hundred dollars plus causing bodily harm. There was nothing wrong with the tooth. I went to Bright Dental for a usual exam. The so-called dentist misdiagnosed x-rays saying I needed a root canal & possible crown because I have an infection! The x-ray lady started it, the dentist seconded that motion! Dentist & staff urged me to take care of it ASAP otherwise I will lose my tooth! I was so scared as it was my front tooth next to the implant. I called this dentist for a second opinion He said and I quote " you do not have infection ." Then he added, "I think you do need a root canal & you need a crown, if not your implant will fall!! " he proceeded telling me I should brush my teeth, floss them and because I did not, I have no choice but to have a root canal ! Also he said he wants to check if I have holes in my tooth ! I said I brush after every meal ,I floss, he looked at me sarcastically and said no no you don`t?! By the way my teeth are very clean, a fact attested to by other dentists. He did his best taking advantage of the situation that I was so in shock of losing the implant ( I have paid over $14,000 for my implant - my savings ). He kept saying do not worry, it only takes 10 minutes!!! - Yes, only 10 minutes to destroy a perfectly healthy tooth ! He continued rambling , he would not let go . I wanted to say I will wait, he would not let me speak, he used every scare tactic to force me into the root canal . Before I could say a word he pierced my gums and tooth! Continuing with his slogan "only ten minutes we are done." I left his office in a daze with a dead tooth. His lack of integrity will be the reason my tooth and implant will fall. I can understand if there is infection, pain or even sensitivity for a root canal, I had absolutely nothing. Now itching, headaches , pain and redness won`t go away. I cannot touch the tooth. I will pay $2000 to have my nerve restored! What a nightmare. He saw I was quiet, respectful, perfect target. I went to two prominent dentists , they refuted his opinion and warned me against any crown to replace my tooth . They said " if there is no infection why was the root canal necessary!?" Also they said I have " good gums, you keep your teeth clean, absolutely no cavities." Later, he admitted he did a root canal and removed a healthy nerve from a healthy tooth, NO INFECTION. Intentionally destroying a healthy tooth for money, how low a person can stoop? Recently he spoke to me adding insult to injury by saying "you are not going to die, it is O.K?!" This is blatant malpractice. His non-ethical standard is to pocket several hundred undeserving dollars at the expense of damaging a patient`s health! read more

He explained everything in a confident, reassuring manner, and during the procedure his communication was excellent. What really stood out was his precision and efficiency - it was like watching a Formula 1 pit crew in action. Every office was polite and informative but I'm glad I made one last call to reach Antioch Dental Specialty. All the other prices were similar except theirs. They saved me over $500! Wow! Dr. Lim is AMAZING! I've been putting off my root canal for about 5 months now because my last root canal experience 10 years ago with a different provider was horrible. My friend referred me to Dr. Lim and told me he was wonderful. I called their office and the front office staff was very friendly and helpful with giving me a quote and scheduling my appointment. I was in the office for a total of about 1 hour maybe. But the actual root canal procedure was only 20 min!! Dr. Lim was so gentle and he works quickly and efficiently. Dr. Lim is very thorough and explains every step. I was is so much pain and my face swelled significantly. I was worried he wasn't going to be able to do the procedure due to the swelling in my face. He explained things so easily and that I could have the root canal because the infection wasn't localized in the gum. So today (a day after) I'm feeling a bit better but still in pain from the swelling as he said could take a week or so to go away. But he did a very good job and double checked his work to make sure it was perfect. I wish I could give more than five stars, so just pretend that each star is worth a hundred stars. My wife needed a root canal ASAP. We'd spoken to multiple endodontists who either didn't have time or who's prices were exorbitant. Even though we already had a referral, one place told us we still needed to do a consultation at their office for nearly $400!!! Finally, a couple of different dentists referred us to Dr. Lim at Antioch Dental Specialty. I called them at 9:00AM and told them that my wife needed a root canal immediately as she was in unbearable pain. The very nice receptionist told me that they'd just had a cancellation for 11:30AM that day. She quoted me a more than reasonable price and told me that the referral we already had would suffice. We went in at 11:30AM and walked out with a successful root canal at 12:20PM! Dr. Lim was so nice and understanding. He explained everything, was super gentle, and just all around awesome! Nothing short of amazing! I spent all weekend in horrible pain. I called Kaiser on Saturday at 4am with horrible pain, they said I could take a 3rd norco while I waited for my dentist to open. My dentist had me come in, put me on antibiotics and a stronger dose of norco because the endodontist was closed all weekend. I called first thing Monday morning, they made an appointment for me to come in that day. I got there, filled out some paperwork and was called inside. The Dr Lim introduced himself did some tests and had an X-ray done. He told me I needed a root canal on one tooth and got to work. I left there completely pain free.
