Recently moved to Brentwood and have been seeking our locks businesses to support while decorating my new place. The Antique Co-Op looks smaller from the outside but once you're in, the shop goes further back and has endless corners to explore. So many interesting things to browse and fair prices for vintage and antique goods. The team working there were friendly and helpful. Although I didn't purchase anything this time around, I'll be back on a hunt for vintage Christmas decor. Fun little shop and a surprise find in Brentwood. I will absolutely be coming back to this antique store! I've lived in the area since 2007 and don't know while it took me so long to shop here. Bought a beautiful jewelry case and butterfly wall art for $50 (you can see in the picture) the quality of the furniture and everything else looks amazing for being antique/used will definitely take my family here to buy some more goodies! The staff are so sweet too I felt very welcomed as I walked in and before I left, they were super helpful and let me know about parts of the store that have sales and discounts going on. read more

I really liked this place I drive by it every day and didn't expect it to be so great, the store goes on forever and there's so much to look at of anyone's unique interests like crystals, unique glasses, depression glasses and one of the vendors was so nice, from what I understood there's a bunch of different vendors making every section have different pricing and items. The vendor I talked too, I didnt end up getting his name but definitely will next time talked to me about what I was looking for and was nice enough to discount everything I was looking at by 50% from its already amazing price :) made me really happy and I ended up buying all the plates and cups I was interested in at the time and definitely will stop by again. The cashier was slow but it gave me more time too look around and he was very nice to read an itemized receipt out to me after going through it himself for so long. Just wasted my time. Called in advance, spoke with a lady over the phone who told me coming between 12 and 1 on Wednesday would be a good time. Came on Wednesday, as discussed, they told me that they ran out of money and I should come back some other day. Not very professional and respectful to other people's time. Will not be coming back. Was not impressed with the offered selection of products either. I think you can find better stuff at garage sales. read more

Great Place to find real antiques at great prices. There is a huge selection. The Antique Co Op has everything from furniture to Vintage Clothing, no matter what your style you will be amazed it it is like being a kid in a candy store if you appreciate decor, collectibles, lighting, and toys. Nothing attractive about the mall...... prices were HIGH!......lot of Chinese reproductions... nothing quality. Staff tried to be helpful by following you around the store... But it was more uncomfortable than helpful. Lots of signs are what "welcome" you... i.e.....no bathroom... you break,you pay,...if it says firm,its firm.....just not hospitable. I used to stop at the store many years ago when Edna the founder was alive.....I'm sure she would be sad to see what has become. read more

I'm not at all knowledgeable about antiques and/or collectibles, but I sure do like things - and this place has a lot of them. You could literally spend hours looking at everything in the store - housewares, jewelry, toys, art, knick-knacks, and on and on. I'd say the only area they're lacking in as far as variety goes are the books - they're in a smallish room in the back, almost like an afterthought, and nothing impressive. But hey, it's not the Book Faire, I guess. The majority of items are older, obviously, with some newer stuff sprinkled here and there. I've gotten a couple used but like-new purses for only five dollars each, and everything else I've bought has been reasonable as well. All of the women who work there are polite and sweet, and let you know they're available to help without hovering over you. Definitely a nice change of pace from other antique-y places I've been to (both around Brentwood and beyond) where the staff acts like they've done you a huge favor just by being open. Best place to shop for antiques and collectibles in the whole area. This place has actual antiques, I know that is what you expect from antique stores but many places in the area have very few real antiques. The antique co-op is a true testament to their name. The best thing is there are many little shops inside all with individual owners and styles, so no matter what I'm looking for this place has the best selection. I have been there many many times over the last 3 -4 years and am always greeted, offered cookies and coffee and any help that I may need. Some places barely acknowledge you any more but here I feel like I could come in with a request and there are actual people that care about what I'm looking for! Came here for the first time with the family. We were looking for a curio cabinet and actually found one we wanted for about $300. Unfortunately my little one who is two and potty training, had to go to the bathroom really bad. When we asked, the employee said they did not have a public restroom and wanted us to cross a four lane busy street to go to the gas station. How about we just leave and take our business with us instead. Yes, I know they have the right to refuse a restroom, even to paying customers. But we also have the luxury to choose who to give our business to. My toddler and I wouldn't have trashed the restroom or made a mess. We simply wanted to avoid an accident. We choose to give our business to businesses with excellent customer service instead. A simple use of their restroom would have been the ultimate gesture of good customer service to a family with some cash to spend. read more

Great store to wander around, especially if you don't know exactly what you are looking for...you will always find something unique and fun. It seems they get new items everyday. The kids like to go hunting there for that special item you don't see in regular stores, they spend so much time looking over every inch because you never know what treasure be hiding somewhere. Avoid this place! My husband and I love the Rancho Co-op, just down the street. We thought because the name was similar and the items were similar that it would be a similar experience. Boy were we wrong! We went in on a very slow day. The store is incredibly packed, very dusty and a general mishmash. Once you slide your ways through the overstuffed space you may find a few fun items. I found a few simple jars that I liked, didn't love but did want. We took them to the register and inquired why the two jars, which were exactly the same color, size and condition, were marked different prices (30% difference). The ladies at the cash register seemed very confused. I asked if they could contact the booth owner (which we have done on multiple occasions at Rancho) and was told that the seller was a school teacher and could not be reached during school hours. "No problem, just hold them and once you hear back from the seller, let us know and we'll come back". A few hours later we got a call that the seller agreed the prices shouldn't be different and they'd honor the lower price for both jars. Fantastic! I let them know that I would be working and couldn't make it back within their business hours but would be back before the weekend to pick them up. I also made sure to ask if they would be held, the price had been changed and please make a note my husband will come to get them. My husband made it down there and the jars were not held, still had the incorrect prices and was told they'd have to call the booth person AGAIN to ask the exact same question. Really? You're supposed to be working as a partnership. Seems simple but is a great example of the issues with this place. The owner doesn't seem to have any management in place and there is no cohesiveness. The prices are bloated and they will not negotiate even small adjustments. I'll keep my money and my shopping at the Rancho co-op, and suggest you do the same. read more

Very poor customer service. Definitely not a good place to just browse around because they followed my and my wife and I through the store like we were a couple of criminals on 4 different visits, staying just a few feet away from us at all times like they were certain we were going to steal everything we could get our hands on. They do not respect that some people do not like to be asked 20 times if they can help. I suffer from social anxiety disorder and do not interact with people while I am out shopping, its no disrespect or me being rude. For me it felt like harassment and triggered my urge to leave. They also made my wife leave her purse at the front counter. They claimed it was due to recent thefts from the store, and that may be true, but the response was to start making "everyone" leave their purses unsecured at that front desk yet we witnessed several times that rule being enforced only for certain people regardless of purse size and other times not at all, so I am not sure what to make of that. Never felt so unwelcome in a place of business before. We have literally spent thousands of dollars there over the last 8 to 10 or so years but no longer will we or any of our extended family spend a dime there. New owners have come in and things have been slowly going down hill. We were going to rent a booth there 4 or 5 years ago, and I am so thankful we passed on that opportunity when our names finally came up on the waiting list. Word of mouth spreads, but they have already deleted or removed a previous review I did questioning their inconsistent practices. They even responded to my previous reveiw saying all sorts of stuff but never truly apologized and came across as rude saying something to the affect of... we(my wife and I) just misunderstood their new way of interacting with customers...umm no it was horrible and you went too far, bottom line. So it will be a dark day in hell before we ever step foot in there again. read more
