This place has gone down hill. While some treasures are still available to find, it has become one booth renters/manager's personal hoarded storage facility. Some of the booths that used to be accessible are now blocked off and loads of items piled high. I came to find out they are all rented by the manger and a renter of the store and he has taken to piling items inside the front door and by the counter. Unacceptable. Half the store is a store and the other is a storage locker. Good luck in finding items and how embarrassing for the other renters. read more

This place is trash ! Rude people behind the counter . Do yourself a favor and dodge a bullet and drive a little farther to North Aurora and visit Past and present shoppes . They flip their floors and each vendor keeps their area tidy clean ! I have visited multiply times and always walk out with stuff and they are affordable . read more

Super rude older gentleman working here. I was interested in buying some jewelry (try to thrift or buy my gold pieces secondhand as much as possible) and when I asked to see some earrings in the case by the register he opened the case from behind and held the earring stand right by his chest. I asked if I could see the earrings because at that point they're farther away from me than they were originally in the glass case and he acted like I was going to steal them. I asked to see one more piece and he held it even farther away from me (again literally could have just kept it in the case as that was a closet view than the distance at which he was holding it). I asked AGAIN if I could see the piece more closely he said no so I said I couldn't see and he shoved it literally in my face. The piece in question was a small gold necklace charm that had small precious stones on each of the four sides so it was a delicate piece that I just wanted to get a closer look at before purchasing. Super rude worker and because of this I left with nothing. As a note, I stopped by this place after a work out class during an errand run. I don't know if that's why I was treated si poorly but either way DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

They have a wide variety if items from cloths to coins ive been there a couple times and found something ever time we were there recently I found a really nice pocket knife and decided to get it totally worth the money I sadly don't see a lot of people there but I think more people should go you will totally find the best things ever even things you never thought you would want. I went to Geneva, never thinking I was going to find a wealth of beautiful and surprisingly high-quality antiques at reasonable prices. That's exactly what happened. In Chicago, anything vaguely vintage is an arm and a leg. It's impossible to find nice period piece jewelry under $50, but here I found 4 pieces for that price, and I got some nice cuff links. This store has moved 11 N. 3rd Street Unit C St. Charles IL www.antiquemarketIII.com I went in here after I went to Antique Market I...it is right next door. Antique Market III is much smaller with less items but very clean and well kept. The people that work in the store are very very friendly and they make you feel welcomed and are not pushy and let you take your time. The prices are good and so are some of the finds...I saw this woman walk off with a an old fashioned vintage fan (working!) for a really reasonable price, the owners even "tested" it out for her before she took it home. I found an old fashion non electric curling iron which I collect in great condition for a great price and some awesome Austrian 1950's brooches!! Two reasons to go here: a booth in the corner that specializes in historical artifacts (flags coins, uniforms) and the deco light fixtures hung from the ceiling throughout (although I'd like to take a closer look because it looks like some of them might have been painted recently - a HUGE no no in the antique business). Otherwise, it's full of tchotchkes, repros and new collectibles. Yes. The prices are lower than in the city. But the stock is of lower quality, too. If you're a serious antiquer, you'll be disappointed. I've been twice now - a full year gap between visits - and most of the booths in back don't look like the owners have set foot in them since. Staff is plentiful but largely unhelpful. I didn't find them rude, just kind of clueless and slow to figure things out. read more

A group of friends and I visited this shop and we all found something to buy. It's in a storefront in a little strip mall in downtown St. Charles, just off 2nd Street (Rt. 31). The shop is clean and well-organized with multiple dealer booths, all with merchandise nicely displayed. But at the same time, there's that cluttered feel that makes you sure you are going to get a great "find." They had everything from Depression glass to mid-century kitchenware to jewelry to books to furniture. The people at the front desk were friendly and willing to deal. read more

The dynamics in this store seem somewhat strange and flawed. The individuals working behind the counter were rude and disrespectful. This is where I struggle with establishments like these. In the face of online shopping and big box retailers, I really want to support smaller unique establishments. I watched them treat a younger girl so badly that she walked out and cried. Mind you she was a paying customer and was undeserving of the bickering that was going on amongst the staff. Needless to say, I did not make my purchase nor will I ever again. If you make a living making 15 year olds cry then you suck. read more

This is a typical type antique shop where you hunt through for treasures. That is not why I'm giving one star... I have a lot of patience and understand the system takes time when checking out- that doesn't bother me either. What is sad is the rudeness of the employees. I have the utmost respect for people regardless of age but feel that to get respect you also should be respectful. I was there with my niece and she found so many little treasures that she carefully chose to purchase with her own money. The four people checking her out were rude and snappy and argumentative. She stood patiently with a sweet smile waiting for them to work it all out- while constantly being made to feel like she was a bother. By the time we left the store she looked at us with tears in her eyes, shaking, wondering what she had done wrong. If these employees want to be out of the store by 5- they should figure out a better system for ringing up customers or close at 430- but at the very least- be nice. Just because someone is young- that doesn't mean they should be treated poorly by the elderly. So disappointed. I hope someone says something to them and maybe they can work on a better system for closing. read more

If this is still open, this market is the only left of Antique Markets I - II - III. Not a big surprise, number 3 was never full of dealers, always half empty and number 1 never had any rotation of stock. I believe this is the mall up on the hill with the old comic shop in the front. The first dealer on the left has some great fine antique jewelry, and there are a few good showcases around to the right. Look carefully, this mall might not be large, but they pack the stuff in - a good 50s dealer at the back of the shop read more

Came here to look for items for our farmhouse that is a historical landmark in St. Charles. Parked in their "customer" spot. Before I even exited the car, an old woman (assuming the owner) was yelling at me that I couldn't park there. She never asked if I was actually coming into her store or not. Very disappointing to not even make into the store and have such blatantly rude service. There are plenty of other antique stores that care about their customers. read more

With all the new reality shows featuring antiques and vintage "treasures" for your home décor, I started researching and looking for places in my area, just to check them out (even though I don't know a lot about antiques). I visited Antique Market I & III, which are located close to each other. I found the staff at Antique Market III to be friendly and helpful, without being pushy. I had some questions (since I'm new with antiques), and they were helpful and informative. I found a couple old pieces that I purchased for my home. My daughter found a vintage necklace that she loved, and my younger daughter loved the vintage purses. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for "unique" vintage items (which my teenagers say are the new fashion statements....too bad I didn't save all my grandmother's things!). The woman working at Antique Market III said they regularly bring in new items, so we plan to make another visit for "unique treasures" very soon. read more
