The restaurant is really busy and feels a bit chaotic. We were sat in a very high traffic area so it was kind of tough to relax. The menu was extensive and the prices were very fair considering it is a touristy restaurant. They don't ask you if you want bread, and then they throw it on your table in a paper bag and charge you for it. My husband liked his chicken parm and my sister in law loved her ravioli, but everyone else thought their dishes were underwhelming. Nothing was memorable. There are definitely far better restaurants in Rome and I would skip this one!

The overall feel was rushed, and by the end of the meal it felt more like something you'd find in Little Italy in NYC than a memorable Roman dining experience. There were some positives. The fried artichokes were tasty, and the polpette al sugo were decent meatballs in sauce. Prices here are also great -- wine and pasta are very affordable. The pastas themselves were ok, but nothing stood out. They leaned a bit salty and felt more generic than expected. We also tried both the traditional tiramisu and pistachio tiramisu -- again, ok, but nothing special. One thing to be aware of: bread was brought to the table without us asking (three slices), and it showed up on the bill for €2. Also, if you're coming for the amatriciana, it's supposedly to be finished tableside, but that doesn't always happen -- apparently it's only done in certain parts of the restaurant, which was disappointing. Overall, it was fine, but with so many great dining options in Rome, it's hard to imagine this being the best meal of a trip.

After traveling all day,…read morewe arrived for an early dinner, between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. as Yelp showed the restaurant was open. We were met by the owner, who, while allowing us to come in, was noticeably unfriendly and came across as rude, which set a negative tone for the meal. We chose this restaurant because of the outstanding Yelp reviews, especially the praise for the pasta dishes. One of the main reasons we ordered the Cacio e Pepe was because several reviews described it being prepared in an authentic cheese wheel. That was not our experience. It was not prepared as expected, and spinach had been added to the dish even though it was not shown in any of the photos we had seen beforehand. Because of that unexpected ingredient, our daughter wouldn't eat it, which was very disappointing. We also ordered the spicy chicken, and it was, unfortunately, the worst chicken my husband and I have ever had. It contained a lot of bones, was extremely fatty, with very little meat, and was simply unpleasant to eat. Considering the quality of the food, the discrepancy between what was advertised and what was served, and the unfriendly service, we did not feel the meal was worth the price. We left disappointed and would not return or recommend this restaurant based on our experience.
