Antonia's Atelier shop is the best little gem seamstress we have in the area. She works with great detail and leaves you feeling comfortable leaving the dress. In my case I was the mother of the bride that needed alteration to a sequence dress. The shop is small but great things come in small packages. Her fees are reasonable. I refered her to my son's girlfriend and she now is forever thankful. Truly great place that will not disappoint. I went back today for 2 dresses that needed her crafty hands. Recently I had to get a dress done for my best friends wedding and since I was the MOH, I wanted to make sure it was perfect. I went to a place that completely butchered my $300 dress, and I was in tears over it. I was extremely worried because the wedding was only a few days away so immediately I started looking around for a place that could fix my dress, that's when I found Antonias shop. Just from talking to her on the phone I knew my dress would be in great hands. She understood my emergency and took me in immediately to get it fixed. The final product was absolutely amazing compared to how bad the dress was before. She also had time for fix my corset that I was wearing for the wedding that weekend. She has a little shop in my town at the end of a friends block the friend gave me the info and I called (she coached my fiancé through my first measurements via facetime..I was scared to say the least LOL). I was so nervous to trust her with my gorgeous delicate dress made of lace but I took the risk, I got a good feeling, after my mom spent $500 on her dress I was expecting a hefty bill and a maybe not perfect dress for not using a dress shop (but with covid things were once again weird). The time, patience and dedication she has to her craft is the best I've ever experienced. It is impossible to go lower than one star. We should have called first to ask if she works on leather, which she does not, but she does not say that on her site. She informed us she doesn't do leather very rudely, with palpable hostility. We bolted before she could show any more anger! It's so easy to smile when you're disappointing a potential customer, possibly steer them to someone else. Needless to say, we will not seek out services from her that she does offer. I went to Antonia because I had a mother of the groom gown that needed hemming but I also wanted a custom fitted sheer navy bolero jacket to cover my arms and shoulders without hiding the gown's beautiful gold embroidery adorning the chest and back. Antonia took on the challenge! She found the perfect fabric, organza, ( sheer but had body). She took all of my measurements and methodically designed and created a jacket that left everyone at the wedding complimenting me on my attire. It fit perfectly and made the gown and me look even better! She is so talented and such a delightful woman. She was so considerate and very concerned of doing the correct stitching repair to our little stuffed guy and made sure we were 100% satisfied when job was completed.
