I dropped off two winter coats on Friday and needed them for Saturday. We have a bulldog so there was some dog hair on them. The first time I went to Rod's I brought a white dress that had been ruined by wearing it immediately after getting a spray tan. When I picked it up it was spotless. He is amazing at getting out tough stains. He was able to get pomegranate juice out of an ivory lace gown. He cares about what he does and it shows. I give Rod's Cleaners 7 stars. I am a fussy customer who expects quality work and is willing to pay the prices, which I must say are reasonable. After a horrendous and unprofessional experience in Edgewater with "Cleaners" (they've removed "Value" from their name because they're anything but) I discovered Rod's in West New York and cannot recommend them highly enough. My shirts and suits come back flawlessly. It's a family owned business that's been in business for some 30 years and they aim to please. The Owner, Sam, is on the premises and is always friendly and accommodating. The location for me is a little out of the way, but the extra minutes it takes me to get there is well worth the trip. read more

There is no question regarding their dry cleaning service. I gave them 3 stars for their alteration service. Prices are way too high. For alreration to hem a skirt about 4" shorter they charged 25 dollars. It was more then what the skirt cost me. Never again. I found other places with alot more resonable prices. read more

I went to gold coast cleaners for about a year before switching to Rods, and am so happy I made the change. Rod is very friendly, and his shop is organized and clean. Without asking (or charging) he fixed the hem that was coming undone on a pair of my pants. I usually drop off my dry cleaning and have him deliver it back. The dry cleaning is always ready and delivered on time. Safe to say I will not be going back to Gold Coast. read more
