Inside was noticeably clean and spacious. It's best if you make an appointment. Safety protocol for COVID-19 was followed. Tailor and owner name was Juan. Expert and professional. I told him what I want in alterations and gave his expert advised. The suit came out perfect. Professionally tailored with love and precise measurements. It is one thing to give great reviews but picures tells it all. This place may cost you a bit compare to other tailor shop but one thing for sure, You will definitely be satisfied with how Juan put his effort in making you look brilliant. I've brought clothes to this tailor shop twice (I brought two items each time) and all of the alterations turned out great. I've had two suits, a jacket and a sports coat tailored. The items fit me much better now and they were altered pretty quickly (within 2 weeks). And the owner, Juan, is easy to work with and very good at his job. The alterations may be pricey depending on your budget. They can add up because each specific alteration to an item carries its own price (for example, if a jacket needs its length shortened, its sleeves shortened and its sides taken in for a slimmer fit, each of those alterations has a specific price). But the quality of the alterations is top notch and you're probably expecting to spend some money if you go to a tailor with a midtown location. Plus, the shop's website has a list of prices for its services, so you can estimate what your request will cost beforehand. So I recommend this shop. read more

I have had several jackets altered by him to bring them up to more contemporary fashion standards (shorter hem, trimmer sleeve lines, etc) and each one has turned out perfectly. These were all high quality pieces in excellent shape, but they represented a design style from the 1990s (I'm an old guy). After receiving a poorly crafted suit from indochino (who supposedly used my measurements to make it), I was panicking to find a tailor to fix the damage. Came across Juan on Yelp and he wrote back almost immediately. Came to him on a Saturday at 10am. Mind you, he doesn't open until 10:30 but since I wasn't able to come after 10 he opened shop earlier to accommodate. Had a bunch of issues with the suit but Juan assured me everything will be just fine. Left the suit with Juan and came back the week after (always be sure to make appointments!) and wow was I amazed. Juan fixed every problem I had and I couldn't have been happier. Keep in mind Juan has a 2 year alteration warranty, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Best thing is to learn to accept this - its about valuing workmanship and labor. Your clothing was originally made by mass production in an assembly line, to a few standard sizes. Juan and his team make your clothing look great on you. I ordered a dress from Europe, couldn't get the sizing right, and it was too tight in the rib cage. Juan magically found extra fabric in this dress, redid the seams, and it feels great. He's a miracle worker. Shirt - Bought a button down shirt with a collar that fit great in the shoulders, but otherwise was too big. He did his magic, now I can wear it under a suit jacket or by itself, looks great. There are so many good things to say about Juan and this business. As soon as you walk in, you notice how clean the store is. When you see Juan and see the tailored suit that he's wearing himself, you know that he's serious about his craft. On top of that, he is also incredibly friendly and attentive. I came to Juan with a pair of suit pants that I wanted hemmed and tapered. I'm not good at verbalizing what I want when it comes to tailoring so I brought him a picture of what I wanted. He observed the photo for a few seconds and immediately knew what to do. After determining the hem length, he was incredibly thorough with how he was going to taper the pants, looking at it from all possible angles. He asked about how I thought it looked and he also offered insight into what he felt looked right. Omg I am so happy with the work. Just fantastic. Initially, I only wanted to taper the bodice and bring in the waist but the dress still didn't look right. We realized I wasn't wearing the dress it was wearing me so after consultation Juan showed me that with more emphasis on shoulder it would balance my hip. That was the special touch it needed. He added a beautiful shoulder detail with pleat in the sleeve that complimented the waist gathering and tapered the side seams to create waist shape. Also the sleeves were shortened and the center front v raised for more modesty. Essentially Juan made this #BA&SH dress even more glamorous. I'd been using Juan for years prior to Covid for pretty much everything. Now, 3.5 years later, my daughter was getting married and no tux fit right. So I knew what to do: buy a good tux with a decent shape and bring it to Juan to do his magic on the jacket and pants (including narrowing the legs). I also had him alter the tux shirt to make it snug and perfect sleeve length. Well, Juan once again killed it, making both pieces fit like a glove! The guys here were extremely professional and did a great job repairing the shirt as much as possible given the circumstances. The shirt came back with the large tear hidden well, and they suggested other alterations to the shirt which made it fit better & look better than it did to start with, as well as hide the tears more.
