Antonio is an INCREDIBLE hair stylist. Every time I go to the salon, I feel so happy with my cut. He really puts so much care into the way he cuts my hair, giving so much attention to detail.. really working with the texture and weight of my hair. I get SO many compliments on my cut, and I will always recommend him to anyone locally. When I first moved back to long island (after have living in LA and NYC) I had a hard time finding someone that could really "style" my hair and not just give me a basic cut. I moved to Long Island after living in the city for 13 years and was so scared about who would cut my hair. Thank God I found Antonio, he is THE BEST. I have long hair and I get the calligraphy cut with a customized hair treatment, either volume, shine, moisture, etc. He then uses a razor to cut my hair and is meticulous. Every angle is completely symmetrical and cut to perfection. I always leave feeling fabulous an get a ton of compliments. After he does my hair it stays perfect for a week without me washing it, this is not an exaggeration. Julianna gives a great wash with the perfect water temperature and amazing scalp massage. Finally found my go to salon! Antonio worked magic on my hair and gave me an amazing calligraphy cut. It's been months later and my hair has grown out beautifully! I recently went to have my color done with Michelle. I wanted a little change and to warm up my summer blonde. Michelle really listened to me and talked me out of doing something drastic which would be hard to change if I grew tired of. She left me with a gorgeous warm shade that really toned down my highlights and got me ready for fall. I returned because of their Covid protocols. They do an excellent job of disinfecting stations, social distancing, and mask wearing. I haven't felt this way at other salons I've gone to, even my favorite one. His pious nature coupled with reticent savior knowledge is the dark web for runway events, stage artists, fortune 500 and little old creative humble types like me, all who need the impromptu speed for nothing less than jaw-dropping results. Just please don't spread the word too quickly. But alas some secrets of greatness needs to be recognized. I'm accustomed to finding a high end oriented results when I need it now since I'm always on the go. It's challenging and doesn't offer much in the way of exceeding realistic expectations for very good salons. However, I can say unabatedly I haven't been this surprised since in a very long time across several continents and masters of styling. I like to drop in to gauge how well someone responds without the common hair salon rehearsed litany of remarks, self-aggrandizing history, and dreams of future goals. I walk in and Mr. Antonio Marino, a genuine and approachable gentleman takes assertive action from the start with efficiency analyzes my requirements deftly interlaced with my take. I wasn't expecting this. A delve into Alice's rabbit hole and up comes Janene Palma. Remeber that name "Janene Palma". She is definitely not your typical resident genius, she is a Michaelangelo of sorts (I'll have to come up with a female archetypical gifted heroine figure next time). Janene knew what she could and what would best serve "her" canvas. I always can tell in the first 15 minutes how your mind works just by the questions you pose. Not just smart questions, but atypical that may even be eccentric as only a Master can be. Not just what you want but the essence of who you are right at that moment. Boy, does she have a great mind! I was impressed and I say this without reservation, I'm not easily impressed. Oops, I gotta run yet again. In summary, Antonio Marino Salon is equal if not better and amazingly distinctive on all points with the best I've ever had across two continents. After having a terrible experience at my prior local salon, I was fortunate enough to find Antonio Marino Salon: I was devastated with the results of a single process hair coloring at my old local salon and even more disappointed by the dismissive response of my former stylist to my complaints.  While I had requested a natural return to my dark ashy blonde base color, I ended up with an auburn hue, way too dark and reddish for my skin tone.  I was about to take matters into my own hands, desperately searching for DIY hair products to reverse a terrible dye job. Thankfully, I found Antonio Marino salon.  The salon staff came to my rescue, and in no time my hair was transformed from a look I loathe to one I truly love!  Upon stepping into Mr. Marino's beautiful, immaculate and modern salon, I was immediately impressed with his welcoming and professional staff.  Colorist Kim took the time to listen to my concerns about my color and offered thoughtful, personalized solutions for my hair woes.  While offering reassurance to calm my nerves (from my prior hair trauma), she skillfully applied natural looking highlights in the perfect hue to counteract the other salon's poor color choice.  I was truly amazed by the outcome, far better than I expected.  The look and tone of the color is gorgeous and flattering.  I could not be happier with my experience.  Mr. Marino even helped to correct the style of the too short haircut I received at the other salon.  I now receive more compliments on my hair than ever before.  I feel so lucky to have found Kim and highly recommend her if you are looking for a talented colorist skilled in color corrections.  I look forward to having my hair done at AM Salon from now on, and will definitely recommend them to my family and friends. read more

I have been getting my hair done by this team for almost 4 years now, I have never once had a less than amazing experience. I am so happy for Antonio and the girls for breaking away from a bad situation and doing what is best for them. Even in the short time that they had been away from their previous business, they have all seemed 10x happier, and a happy stylist means great work. I would not trust any other team with my hair care needs, and I've had many needs. I started seeing Aida for my hair cuts almost 4 years ago and she has brought me from having long but badly breaking hair to having smooth healthy hair. I came to her with more breakage than you could imagine, from years of uneducated hair care and at home dye jobs over a double processed blonde that I wasn't told how to care for (from another salon). It was so bad that she had to cut my hair dry, otherwise my hair would pull like a rubber band. She told me I had to come in regularly (every six weeks) for a cut to make sure no more of my hair broke off, and that's exactly what I did, and within 6 months (give or take) my hair was looking and feeling healthy again. Aside from cuts, my color has been done by Jen and Kimmy, Jen had done highlights in my hair about 2 years ago to break up my color (I was growing out box black dye that contrasted drastically with my light brown hair), she did an amazing job. And about 2 months ago Kimmy highlighted me to compliment the awesome pixie cut that Aida had just done on me. Though I haven't had anything done by the other stylists or colorists, I have seen their work and there is not a single person there that I would not recommend.
