I've really enjoyed this salon the few times I've gone! It's always nicely decorated and has a modern but warm vibe. I especially appreciate how friendly and genuinely happy the staff seem. Nick has also always given me a good haircut, and my gloss came out good too. Slightly annoying they don't have their own parking lot, but I've always found a spot on the side street right there (I think Harvard). Prices are fair. Recommend! read more

There's a reason I always book at Hair Junkie, even if it's just for my yearly cut. Tiago is magic,and the entire staff is so warm and welcoming. I've been trying to regrow my hair after a cut elsewhere, and it's taken a long time to get back to a place I'm happy with. Once I finally grew out all those layers, I made sure to book with Tiago a month in advance. The whole experience was calm and relaxing from Frankie's gentle hair wash and raspberry tea (so sweet!) to sitting in the chair while Tiago worked his magic. The hairstylist do a good job and, for the most part, are friendly. Every service is overpriced though. Sadly, the FOH is cold and borderline rude. They need warmer welcomes upon entering, and more than half a thank you when leaving. There have been a couple times when I didn't even get a thank you. I didn't seem important enough for that. Hair Junkie is an excellent salon. I've had various stylists over the shears and most recently Britney, and each one has been very talented and great. Britney also listens really well to me bumbling through what I think i want and helps me make decisions with patience. and I am always happy, but especially when I have taken a risk. the overall atmosphere at Hair Junkie is also wonderful. everyone is so friendly, the music and seasonal decorations and general design shows a lot of thought has been put into the full experience, beyond the great service the stylists provide. read more

I went to Hair Junkie today for the first time and was very happy with my visit. After trying a few other local places I tried here fir a cut , color, and blow dry. Nicole was so attentive and listened to what I wanted . My color and cut were just how I wanted them. From the fresh coffee they brought me to the girl massaging my neck and scalp that rinsed me it was a great experience. I will be back, and the price wasn't bad either. read more

Hair colorist are all talented. I saw a few ladies after their hair was done and was really surprised at how amazing their color looked. My colorist Otto fixed my highlights because it was a bit too yellow. I also had a haircut and blow out. I was very pleased with the entire service. For my first haircut at Hair Junkie, Karen saved me from what had been a series of hair mishaps at other salons. She listened to all that I had been through and patiently parsed out a solution based on what I liked and the current condition of my hair. Today, I went back while she was out on medical leave and Nick did a fabulous job of picking right up where she left off. I explained the previous cut he was very thoughtful in figuring out how to give me a nice trim while allowing my hair to grow in, as that is my goal. I couldn't recommend this salon enough! I have been going here for years. The place is always so nicely decorated. Bring your jacket if you like it warm, it can be very cold in there. The only thing I would suggest is they update the conditioner they use. I do not like it, it leaves my hair very knotty. read more

I hadn't colored or cut my hair in over 5 years. I was looking for a somewhat dramatic change, without sacrificing too much length and I got EXACTLY that! Brittany listened to what I wanted and appreciated that I brought photos of color and cuts that I liked and incorporated those into the final product. While it took almost 4 hours to achieve the look, it was definitely time well spent, as Brittany really took the time to pay attention to details.
