I've been traveling to the Philippines at ton for vacation and also lived there for a bit in the early 2000's. On our last visit a week ago, We decided to take a day trip to Tagaytay. I made lunch reservations at Antonio's weeks in advance and enjoyed every minute of our experience there. Everything from the ambiance to service to quality of food blew our group of 5 away! The restaurant is so beautiful. The grounds, the furnishing, the lighting fixtures inside the restaurant were absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't decide on our favorite dish because we loved them all! Antonio's restaurant took our breath away. From the minute we entered to our departure. Michelin worthy! !!!

My most FAVORITE restaurant in the Philippines! This place deserves a michelin star or two! Their food, service in general are always consistent. Steak, burrata salad are tdf! Glad they opened another branch in Mandaluyong.

The ambience and setting at Antonio's is exquisite: from the moment the staff guides you onto the property in the middle of the gorgeous Tagaytay country to the end of your five-star meal, the experience is nothing short of spectacular. Housed in a hacienda-style estate, Antonio's offers high-end dining, expertly prepared and beautifully served. My wife and I joined her cousin for lunch and we loved every minute of our time here. Like other high-end restaurants, there's a dress code and a certain etiquette that's expected as you dine, but I still found it more relaxed than comparable restaurants. The staff was excellent; every employee struck the right balance of being available at a whim's notice while staying in the background so as not to interrupt your meal. We shared a few dishes, which were all outstanding. We started with the mushroom soup, then had the organic greens with bleu d'Auvergne, peppered granola, and raspberry vinaigrette. Both soup and salad were divine, setting us up for the main portion of our lunch. For our entree we chose the grilled, dry-aged ribeye steak. It was cooked medium and served with a whiskey pepper sauce. In addition to all of the steak accoutrements there were two side dishes of tomato risotto and pommery spaetzle with pancetta. We also had the balsamic pasta with clams, prawns, and scallops. The steak and pasta were both cooked perfectly and the flavors were full and robust. We opted for non-alcoholic beverages and had dalandan juice, a refreshing drink made from a local fruit (similar to calamansi). For dessert we splurged on the white chocolate souffle, Amadeo coffee ice cream, and passion fruit pavlova. Each one was sweet without being overwhelming: a fitting end to our amazing lunch. After we ate we wandered around the property for a while, enjoying the mild weather and the quiet surroundings. We stumbled upon some of the staff gearing up for a wedding and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful setting. Depending on the traffic from Manila, it could take you 90 minutes or more to make it to Antonio's. Even if it took 190 minutes it wouldn't matter; this is a one-of-a-kind dining experience that is unspoiled by the crowded roads here. This was one of the best meals of my life: one where the food, company, and setting were a perfect storm of foodie heaven. HIGHLY recommended.

What can you possibly say about Antonio's that already has not been said. I have gone as far to mention to friends that this joint is possibly Michelin worthy from the ambiance to the food and perfect service (that we received anyways). A 5 star establishment in my book. I've had the humble pleasure to dine at some great restaurants like Le Cirque, French Laundry, Jean-Georges to name a few... I love food and I have to say, that Antonio's is quite the treat for me. I heart Antonio's! One of my favorite go to places in Tagaytay. I've read in some posts they are strict with reservations, however, I've never made a reservation here during the many visits I've had. Yes, the guard usually calls and speaks to someone before letting us drive in but it's never been an issue. I actually wore shorts once (not realizing there is a dress code) as we were just running around and decided we wanted something great to eat. Although I was reminded of the dress code, the manager made an exception, which was awesome on her part. BTW, about my clothes, they were tasteful, I imagine that helped. The service is impeccable from the time you enter the guard house. The staff is attentive and there at every turn. From start to finish I never had to ask for anything except the check. They certainly set the bar high. I've read a couple mixed reviews about the food here, yet personally, I've yet to have anything remotely un-delicious (yeah, probably not a word) at Antonio's. I have noticed that the use of, what I believe are cranberries is quite prevalent in all their restaurants and here is no exception. I had maybe a bottle and a half of wine with dinner... SO, I'm going to work off my semi-foggy memory of the situation, and the semi-loud compliments I belted out (in a nice way, not overly obnoxious, blame the wine). Their house salad which comes with the meals are delicious... I love mixed greens with bitters, blue cheese, and walnuts.. the vinaigrette is also very well balanced... Just a treat to get things kicked off! Truffle Baked Oysters... Duuuuuude! Delicious!! What a treat to the palette. Truffles just have that distinct aroma and flavor that can elevate a dish to the next level. Nice play on the oysters here... Well balanced and just chocked full of plain ol' goodness. Roasted Duck Breast: topped with Pan Seared Foie Gras with Braised Red Cabbage Mashed Potato, Mixed Berries and Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon Jus: Nice acid and sweetness to go with the Foie Gras, yet not overly powerful with the sweetness. Another wonderful dish. Pommery Rubbed Roasted Rack of Lamb: with Pancetta Spätzle and Cardamom Beurre Blanc: another very well put together dish, not gamey at all. perfectly cooked, tender and bursting with flavor. Delicious to the last bite. As we all know lamb can be more gamey at times, this was well received. We were in a rush so we skipped dessert (it's included with the meal) but the previous meals we've had here, dessert was always a welcome and fantastic treat. Overall, I always come back for more. Stay Hungry my Friends. a La Cuisine!

Antonio's is the kind of place that you save for a special occasion. It's far and it's a little pricey, but completely worth it. It was a bit of an adventure finding this place, but your experience begins the second you pull up the driveway. As you entire the gate, you get the feel of a summer villa rather than a restaurant. You're met by giant wooden doors and greeted by what I must say is the best service I've ever received. Alfred level service that would make Bruce Wayne proud. I literally just put my finished glass of water down and already there was a waiter asking if I wanted any more. Top notch service! The waiters were also nice enough to recommend a meal for us when were unsure of what to choose, a set menu that covered two appetizers (soup and salad), a family-sized main entree of Angus Ribeye Steak, and dessert and coffee. Like I said this is the kind of place you save for special occasions, and my best recommendation is you pull this one out of your arsenal for your anniversary. The dining area is dark in the romantic kind of way, and it's very quiet here. The type of quiet that'll encourage you to lean into your date's ear and share private whispers with one another. Make a reservation so you're sure to get a table, and dress up a little bit. A dress code is enforced but you can tell your date you really just want to look good for them *wink* *wink*

Streamlined, cozy and timeless. That goes for everything at Antonio's.

When I think of good food, good service and good ambience in Tagaytay, I immediately think of Antonio's. Having been around for more than 10 years, the expansion of Antonio's from a simple restaurant, expanding into a social events venue, to having more areas for dining, adding concept areas, and having sister restaurants in neighboring places in Tagaytay only proves that Antonio's has truly made its mark. I love Everything in Antonio"s - the food, the interiors, the ambience, the attention to detail. I've never dined in Antonio's that I didn't like the steak. It's always so tender and yummy! Heck, even when I'm there to work and get served their plated crew meals, it's still so effin' good! Their dalandan juice is also delicious and refreshing. Coupled with the tasteful homey yet luxurious interiors and the overall ambience, it's really perfect for an intimate meal or a joyous family celebration. Service is also topnotch, from the parking attendants, the doormen, the receptionists, down to the waitstaff, they are all very courteous. Here, everything is topnotch.

The food is a given. It wouldn't be voted as one of the best restaurants in Asia if not for the quality and taste of everything in the menu. What I want to talk about is the venue, which makes you forget about how much you're paying and the attentive but not intrusive service, which makes you realize that you get what you pay for.

Antonio's in Tagaytay is one of the most magical and beautiful places that exist in Luzon. An hour and a half away from Manila, visiting the place is a good way to get out of the city and breathe in the fresh air of Tagaytay. Antonio's itself has a very charming vibe, it almost feels like a relative's provincial estate, wherein the halls and corridors are filled with rich stories of life and celebration. And that is only the place. The food itself is incredible. Leaning more towards a clean French-inspired menu with some local flavors, it's no wonder that the restaurant was voted into the the elite Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, the first-ever Filipino restaurant to hold such a prestigious nod from a global standpoint. Truly, the Antonio's group of companies is a force to be reckoned with. A visit to Antonio's in Tagaytay is testament to that.

Antonio's is the pinnacle of the fine dining experience. No wonder it was recently included as one of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants. The 2-hour drive to the edge of Tagaytay is definitely worth it. Each main course ordered comes as a set with salad, soup, dessert, and coffee or tea. The Duck Confit is one of their specialties, since it's mostly French cuisine. For those who enjoy steak, their Angus Rib Eye comes in a hot plate, fried onions on top, and a special steak sauce on the side. You could also try their Trio, which is basically a sampler of 3 pieces of meat, all cooked differently with unique side dishes such as foie gras and potato gratin. Have a glass of wine with your meal to top it off! I would suggest they you leave Manila early, say 3pm, just to make sure you have traffic allowance to catch your reservation. If you arrive too early, no problem! The compound has a lovely little garden lounge called "Sala", perfect for a happy hour-esque cocktail before dinner.

Ordering also was pretty convenient since we just ordered from their iPad with their mobile application installed in it. It was like ordering online, but better and we get to see the total bill right away. They have already launched their mobile applications downloadable from the Google Play store and the Apple App store that is entirely free. This is so customers can just eat upon arriving and there will no longer be conflicts on payments. We dined here for lunch and we had an exquisite food experience. For drinks, we had their Calamansi Vanilla and Cinnamon Iced Tea. They served a complimentary appetizer which was garlic bread with three kinds of dips: garlic puree, balsamic caramel, and smoked fish tapenade. Meanwhile, for our food, we had fresh mozzarella and grilled sweet bell pepper salad with toasted citrus dressing and roasted rib eye a la "blanquette" with sauteed parsley rice. All those were solo servings since it was already good enough for the two of us. For desserts, we had their trio of homemade ice cream consisting of gingerbread ice cream, rose ice cream and salted caramel ice cream. The other dessert we got to try was madeleines that are Jasmine tea with Mango, Earl Grey and Four Berries. This is absolutely has become one of my favorite restaurants.

Despite the name of the place, they are not exclusively serving French food. They have pasta, steaks, and seafood. If anything, Chateau 1771 is a modern European restaurant serving favorite French, Italian, and Swiss food. When I first visited the place years ago, I was actually anxious about that moment when the waiter would hand me the check. European dining in the Philippines has always been equated with expensive fine-dining. But to my astonishment, the price was actually reasonable. I mean, it's not affordable and one would be crazy or filthy rich to eat in this kind of place every day. But for special occasions, I would recommend this place. My most recent visit was during my wife's birthday. It was a table for two and we had a late lunch. After a few moments of browsing through the menu, she asked for Croquette Salad, while I went for Butter-baked Oysters. For main, she had Vanilla Brick Spring Chicken, or grilled chicken served with vanilla bean dots. I ordered the Potence, the house specialty. It's basically steak where the meat is served hanging from a potence, or metal frame, and then set alight (by the waiter) with brandy. Their Pomelo Fruit Juice is a must try. I would recommend having a reservation when dining at Chateau 1771. While the place typically fills up during dinner, I find it perfect for a late afternoon hangout. The ambience can truly transport you somewhere in Europe.
