One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in the Philippines!! From the amazing staff to the delicious food and unique decor...it's 5 stars for sure. I dined outside for lunch with my family and the view was beautiful! My favorite thing here and a must-try in my opinion was the black calamari dish. I forget the name of it...you'll know. I was hesitant at first cause of how it looked, but once I tried one, I couldn't stop eating. Great menu. I loved our server. He was so nice and even brought out a big frame to take our picture. After we ate, we walked around and admired the decor. :)

Traditional Filipino food with a twist! One of the best and finest filipino resto in Tagaytay. Great ambience and the servers were really courteous and friendly (like most filipinos) We are a group of 19 with no reservation, we came at dinner time but they seated us right away. Having a family of almost all boys, We ordered two set of family menu. To my surprise all the food they served were all delicious! It came one by one like never ending, everyone was already full but food kept on coming one at a time. all of us went home full and happy with food to go. One of my favorite is the adobo flakes and the banana fritters for dessert. If you're going to tagaytay, please don't hesitate to drop by. A little pricey but all worth it! Friendly staff and great ambience.

My friend and I were scouting the Tagaytay 'strip' in search of good eats. It was Christmas Eve and as expected the strip was crowded. We ended up at this place. There is a reason why it's not as crowded at this place as the other restaurants. The ambiance was decent. It has a '60s vibe. The walls were decorated with pictures, some with famous celebrities. The decor makes you feel excited about the food experience you're about to have. Unfortunately it's a disappointment. We ordered pansit canton, crispy pusit, seafood kare-kare, buko juice and gulaman. Although the crispy pusit was so tasty and unique - It was wrapped in crispy charcoal black wrapper (I don't know what it is but it's so yummy), the pansit canton is not forgettable because you'll remember how awful it is. It's bland, warm (not hot) and just plain. Lucky Me would give it a run for its money. The seafood kare-kare is equally mediocre. It was also cold. The sauce was warm but the small crab, shrimp and vegetables were cold!!!! Tip to the chef - you could have fried the seafood with batter making them crispy before laying them down in the bed of sauce. And you should make your food hot so that customers will have a positive experience at you restaurant. The only saving grace was the crispy pusit. I will probably comeback if the other places are crowded but I'll only order the crispy pusit.

I've come back from afar and wanted to dine again, on their bulalo and voila, the crowds descended like hungry wolves which made my trip, more interesting and exciting. The mist from an unstoppable showers was complicit in creating an avant garde of magical beauty as we sat down and ordered our culinary delights. The huge one sized bulalo was to die for, bone marrow was salivating, meat was super tender and the soup reminds me of honey in some sense. Their dinakdakan was sliced and presented in its usual sense, aromatic with the spices and pork fat that to me, defines what truly was an epicurean Filipino classic dish. Their "grilled squid" was sliced perfectly and tasted like no other, chewy but tasty, squiddy but came with a combination of spices that reminds me of the sea. The tilapia was mainstream, grilled perfectly but and with fresly cut tomatoes and onions which enriched the usual restaurant menu. I can go on and on but the beauty of Tagaytay was in its View To A Kill, mist laden but as the sun came to slowly diminish the fog, a paradise of sorts appeared from the front of the restaurant like a gods was of Athena on a bright morning day. So, if you're in the Philippines, head to Leslie's Restaurant in Tagaytay and mix in with the crowd who come from all over towns and countries to enhance their culinary experiences in a nation of maikling and happy people. Oh one more observation, the servers were great, smiling as always, kind and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve... TGIS was an important part of the experience, too. So, as I go back home to California, I feel am truly richer than yesterday and more content with my visit of the Philippines with this stimulating culinary experience!

Nestled in the heart of Tagaytay, Dahon at Mesa offers stunning views of the scenic highlands overlooking Taal Lake and Volcano. The venue also features outdoor seating as well as spacious kubos (huts made of natural materials like bamboo and nipa palm leaves) within the lush surroundings, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I was stoked that we scored a kubo - the unique setting was not only very cool, but also extremely comfortable. In addition to a variety of BOODLE FIGHTS (Filipino communal feasts where food is spread on banana leaves and eaten with hands), Dahon at Mesa focuses on showcasing traditional Filipino flavours featuring hearty favourites like Caldereta, Dinuguan and Bicol Express. Their extensive menu, with moderate price level, offers authentic dishes with categories from BREAKFAST, SINIGANG, ROASTED CHICKEN, FRIED CHICKEN, GRILLED, FRIED, RICE, APPETIZER, VEGGIES, MERIENDA, PANCIT, ENSALADA, FRUIT SHAKES, JUICES, COLD DRINKS, HOT DRINKS to DESSERT, perfectly balancing affordability with quality dining. Below are the delectable items that we ordered for dinner: Sago't Gulaman (Pitcher for ₱320) - The refreshing drink with tapioca pearls and gelatin in a brown sugar syrup quenched our thirst, beat the heat and satisfied our taste buds. Lumpiang Shanghai (₱580) - THE most generous sizes of lumpiang shanghai EVER! We super enjoyed them. Sotanghon Guisado (₱620) - Perfectly cooked noodles mixed with a vibrant array of vegetables and tender pieces of meat, all seasoned to perfection. Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw (₱420) - This dish of calabaza squash and string beans cooked in coconut milk was a delightful mix of creamy, fresh and bright flavours. Tortang Talong (₱320) - The eggplant omelette was fluffy, simple deliciousness. Bistek Tagalog (₱720) - This Filipino beef steak dish of thinly sliced beef marinated in soy sauce and calamansi juice, served with onions, was lean and bursting with flavour. Sinigang na Pork Ribs (₱680) - This classic Filipino sour soup was a standout; the tamarind-based broth was remarkably tasty and the pork ribs were very tender. The culinary delights we had, which we complemented with Steamed Rice (For 3-4 Pax ₱200), were scrumptiously unforgettable. Service was friendly, but slow, especially when we were concluding our visit. We had to ring the kubo bell numerous times, AT LEAST THRICE, and even after that, it took quite a while for someone to arrive, so that we could request boxes for packing our leftovers and to receive the check. Slow service aside, Dahon at Mesa still delivered a lasting impression for the delightful gastronomic experience complemented with the serene ambiance. This gem is a must for a Tagaytay travel itinerary...for those with patience.

When they served the beef bulalo (bone marrow) soup, it was warm and the heater below it was not lighted. When we asked them to light it, they initially said they ran out but much later in the evening, they lit it. Bathroom was abominable - no toilet seat. Yuck! Food - the bone marrow soup is their signature dish. It was good, just wished it was hotter. We ordered their hot chocolate seafood plate which had grilled squid, tuna collar, grilled shrimp, etc. it was served family style on a bed of banana leaves. Food was ok.
