Antoni's delivers exactly what a good Italian restaurant should with quality food, proper portions, and strong attention to detail. The dining room is small and intimate. We were seated at a table for two and started with fresh bread and butter. I had an Old Fashioned and my wife ordered a glass of Pocketbook wine. Both were excellent. For an appetizer we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they were outstanding. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. They were so good that the staff brought us additional bread to enjoy with the white cheese sauce, which was a great touch. For our entrées my wife had the shrimp and pesto lasagna. It was well prepared and flavorful. I ordered the special, ossobuco, and it was very good. Tender, rich, and cooked exactly the way it should be. What really stood out was the service. Both the chef and the manager stopped by our table to check on us and make sure everything was satisfactory. That level of attention does not go unnoticed. We were full by the end but still ordered tiramisu to go and were glad we did. Bottom line, small space, big flavors, and service that shows pride in the food. My husband and I enjoyed dinner here for our Friday date night. It has been many years since the last time we ate here, and the food was just as fresh and delicious as it was back then! We plan to return soon! We started off with the bruschetta appetizer, which had fresh tomatoes, just the right amount of garlic, and a topping of basil. Absolutely delicious! I also ordered the Crepe Myrtle, which was refreshing (highly recommend!), and my husband had a glass of Pinot Grigio and a Caesar salad. For our entrees, my husband enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan, which was a generous serving. I ordered the veal scaloppine with the mushroom Marsala sauce. I added on a side dish of capellini and I was offered extra sauce for it (so delicious!). It was served with sautéed vegetables, which were flavorful and cooked well. We finished up dinner with a Honeybee Prosecco and my husband requested a Paloma, which isn't on their drink menu, but our waiter was able to have it made (and it turned out great). Everything was delectable, the ambiance was on par for date night, and the staff was helpful and attentive. We plan to come back soon to try out more dishes and drinks. read more

I'm going to keep this short and sweet but I did not expect to find one of the best Italian restaurants ever to be hidden away in Lafayette, Louisiana. Antoni's has the best Chicken Parmesan I have ever had, best part is that they don't make the common mistake that many others make by not putting enough sauce on the pasta that comes with the Chicken Parmesan, also I believe they make the sauce themselves. Their cheese bread with the garlic and marinara sauce is amazing. The bread with the butter spread they give you is great as well. I highly recommend Antoni's you will not be disappointed. Straight to the point. Despite being Valentine's Day I was able to get a to-go order from this place. After I completed my workout at the Rec center in the area. I ordered the Leonardo Calzone (Spinach, artichokes, and Feta), meatball and pasta (Served in a red meat sauce over linguine with aged Romano cheese) and the Focaccia Bread Pudding (Focaccia bread chunks baked with vanilla, cinnamon, and cream. Topped with a Frangelico and Nocello sauce). Leonardo Calzone was huge and flavorful could definitely be a meal for two. The meatball and pasta was pretty pretty good. Sauce could have had a little more flavor but overall it was fine. But I have to admit the star of this particular meal was most the bread pudding. If it came down to having to order just one item from this particular place it would be the focaccia bread pudding. I honestly haven't had bread pudding this good since the one eating some at a Creole restaurant in New Orleans. read more
