I came on a Friday night just to get out the house and first thing I noticed it that this place is huge! It's located behind Marley's sport's bar, which I love, just walk through Marley's all the way to the back. It then opens into this huge courtyard with lots of seating and games (connect four, bag toss) and TVs, I think just one tv. Continue walking and you're in the annex which is a smaller bar. There's a direct entrance to Legends, I think it's Polk Street. Both Marley's and the Polk Street entrances check ID. Brooke our bartender greeted us with such a warm sweet smile and gave us great conversation. Go see Brooke if you find yourself here! To say it's a beer and burger joint, the frozen margaritas aren't bad at all. The burgers are not too small and not ginormous but has a decent size patti and taste fresh, like a homemade burger. I ordered the original burger (onions & cheese) and other condiments (pickles, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, mustard) come on the side. After our order arrived, another employee, I think one of the cooks, checked on us as well, that was courteous of him. My favorite thing about this spot is the large outdoor area, it's just a really nice chill vibe. Oh and there's a nice playlist, hip hop, rock, pop, something for everyone. read more

The service last night was horrible. Don't know if this is every night or just because it was a holiday. Very hard to get service as the music was too loud and the bar tender couldn't hear us. Finally placed an order and got our drinks then just sat. Waited and waited for our food, asked about it multiple times, were ignored. Finally saw our food sitting on a back counter but no one brought it to us. When I finally went to the counter and asked if we could get our food was told "It's not my job to serve food". I had to ask to be given the food and brought it to our table myself. By that time the food was over cooked, cold and the cheese on the hamburgers had hardened again due to the cold burgers. Not what I would have expected of Legends. Very disappointed. read more

This is one of the best bars in Downtown Lafayette and a big part of why this bar is so fun is that the bartenders take fantastic care of you! You get really top notch excellent service here that is fast and friendly. They always seem to be having a good time in this joint and you also have the option of the huge patio in the rear of this spot where you can have a totally different environment which is also lots of fun. This place was surprisingly great to hangout at. This coming from someone who hasn't been in a bar or club in over 5 years and was much older than most of the guest there. I love the big patio with all the big benches to sit. The giant jinga game was fun and made for great entertainment. With several bars we were able to get drinks pretty quickly and they were tasty! It wasn't too crowd and the music was loud enough to make you want to dance and move around. Like all bars and clubs the bathroom could have been pressure washed with boiling water and Clorox lol but that is expected when going out. read more

Super rude bartenders! The girls in the back legends especially. Very unprofessional and ugly to their paying customers!

Long story short : rude waitress/bartender, 40 min wait on 3 items, wrong orders in the end and oh yeah, horribly,ugly attitude for the only bartender working at 12 today. My friends and I came in and we ordered some burgers and a wrap, there were only about 10 people in the restaurant so we knew we had somewhat of a wait but not too long. Well, we were wrong. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. When I asked our waitress/bartender about our order she said "it's bc we have a new cook". I told her I didn't want my burger anymore bc I only had an hour break from work and her reply??? "Well, we don't do refunds." Seriously?!?! First, I didn't ask for a refund, but I should have bc I didn't get what I paid for. Second, what's with the bad attitude? I've been waiting here for 40+ mins for a burger that I already paid for. And lastly, our brunette waitress didn't even check if our orders were correct. A wrap became a burger and the chip orders were wrong. I really hope that you were just having a bad day and that you aren't Like that normally! If so, legends is missing out on repeat customers. I won't be coming back to this legends. read more

My experience on Memorial Day was ready bad Bartenders were unfriendly and stuck to one side. 3 homeless people asked me and my friends for money. One almost fought my friend for saying no. What the? We left. No apologies. Wasn't safe or friendly. read more

From the street this looks like a small shoebox of a bar. I was deceived! The bar is actually two buildings with a large patio in between. I never knew that Legends served food! They have a legit two page menu that ranges from Apps to Burgers. I am a serious burger lover so I had to take them on. Checked out the Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger. Trust that the beers were good here but this burger was freaking outstanding! I am not sure what they do that makes their food so good but the folks at Legends need to keep on doing it! read more

I've never had the food at Legends before - just drinks. We were at artwalk last night and got hungry. One if our friends had made a comment a few days before at how good the wraps were so we decided to try. My partner had the Hawaii burger and i had the bacon burger wrap. The burger was large 1/2 lbs, moist and well seasoned. The flavor combo was good. My wrap was good as well. The meat was really juicy and well seasoned. They have a great selection of beer to go with the food. We'll definitely go back. read more

Well, what can I say about this place... One way or another; if I'm downtown Lafayette; I end up having a few drinks here just because. Their back courtyard/patio outdoor area makes it perfect to take abreak, sit down, relax and have a conversation with someone withouth having you shout to each other. This place has one of the best locations on Jefferson Street. It's located directly across from Parc Internationale and has an amazing patio with a view of the Parc! The staff is second to none in Lafayette and the food has a reputation that precedes itself. Burgers as well as wraps are spectacular!! The apps and quesadillas are also great. Always kept very clean and never really smoky(that's saying something in LA) and always professional and more than happy to help anyone.
