I am not sure if it is a staffing shortage or if staff keeps leaving because of the doctor, but forget getting records sent to a PCP, I have been trying for months. The appt itself was good, Dr. Chada appeared to take me seriously, excellent bedside-manner. She ran a slew of tests which was great, the not-so-great part is it took about an hour for her office to send the orders for the draws. I had to go back over twice to see what the issues were, no one ever could say. Two tests came back with massive warnings on them and then I was blown off entirely and told that the tests did not mean anything. The comments on the tests were not sophisticated in nature and only appeared after a month when I said "WTF is up". Almost seemed more like office staff trying to cover up missing calling me. I was highly annoyed with the assumption of diabetes and high cholesterol, BTW all came back with flying colors (check Quest). I am overweight because I hurt literally from head-to-toe and I am under an insane amount of stress, not because I sit around and eat bon-bons all day, but thanks for perpetuating the myth. My main issue is that at the appt in August, DR. Chada diagnosed fibromyalgia and said she would send the diagnosis and recommended prescriptions to PCP, that was in August, it is now December and I have made multiple requests and guess what my PCP still does not have? Rheumatologists are in high demand because there are not many of them, my guess is if she diagnosis you with a rheumatological issue she is likely excellent, if it is too iffy (ie low results on tests) then she is not going to have time for you. I am giving her the benefit of the doubt on a comment she made in respect to "not a great gene pool to start from"; I have said the same myself, but it still did not sit well the way it was said, almost felt more like a comment on the fact that I appear entirely of European descent. I have been called a "ghost" in the past (look it up, it is derogatory) and the tone and posture came a bit too close to past incidents for my comfort. She would have gotten a great review, but the inability to get the records to my PCP dictates a bad score, just maybe this review will result in those results going over. read more

Don't bother trying to schedule, she's entirely to busy to see new patients.

She is literally the best doctor I've ever seen. I'm so thankful to her for listening to me and following through instead of giving up and sending me elsewhere like other doctors did. Even if you need to wait for a new appointment, it's worth the wait. read more

My wife and I moved to Austin from Houston and, over 30 years, were patients of several of the specialist physicians in the Texas Medical Center, so we were used to having access to extremely good doctors. I have seen Dr. Chadha for my arthritis during the eleven years that we have been here. She is easily one of the most knowledgable, caring, communicative and competent physicians I have seen anywhere. She listens, does not assume, and responds. She IS, however, quite busy, but very much worth the wait if you have serious issues. read more

If you are looking for a top notch Rheumatologist, Dr. Chadha is your gal! Dr. Anu Chadha is a blessing to people living with an autoimmune disease, especially younger adults diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is compassionate and she listens. She is not judgemental...she really truly cares about the health (physical and mental) and well-being of her patients. Plus, she's brilliant. She is so knowledgeable about treatments and shares detailed information with her patients. She holds nothing back, but without being aggressive or cold. She also has a fantastic sense of humor, key to putting her patients at ease. Her staff is fantastic. Lewis, the infusion nurse, is equally brilliant, thorough and caring. He really goes above and beyond to make his patients feel as comfortable as possible in his care. The staff here is totally irresponsible I suggest go to a hospital where they have trained staff. I was informed that I have an appointment on the 5th July at 4pm when I arrive 30 mins early since I'm a new patient to fill in the paperwork. After waiting for over 3 months for an appointment they mistook 6th July for 5th July. I drove for an hour, had to take a day off waited for 3 months for the appointment and I was told they are sorry and the doctor did not even consider to see me for her staff's mistake. There are better doctors and hospitals out there and I would suggest everyone not to waste their time at this hospital with this staff. read more

I just moved to Austin and was hesitant about changing rheumatologists. However, Dr. Chadha is absolutely phenomenal. She truly cares about her patients; she is approachable and relatable. Her passion and concern for patients exceed that of any of my previous doctors. Having a good rheumatologist that you trust is so important. I just came out of my visit with Dr. Chadha as a new patient. I moved to Austin just a month ago so I was a little apprehensive. I had a great experience with my previous rheumatologist and was worried about building up a new relationship with a new doctor. Before finding her I was looking for a doctor who would listen to me, offer expertise and knowledge and make me feel at ease. Dr. Chadha instantly made me feel comfortable and was very easy to talk to. She took a full history and asked all the right kind of questions to find out as much as she could about me. If you ever wonder why you have patients going else where, just ask the scheduling staff. We just moved to Austin and need a Rheumatologist to continue the care for my daughter. They wouldn't let me schedule an appointment without a referral from primary care. We have a PPO and she is already diagnosed and been treated in Houston for years. Why would we waste money going to a primary care first? waste insurance company and our money. read more

Dr.Chadha is the BEST! I used to see her from 2011-2013 and due to ARC no longer accepting my insurance I was forced to go elsewhere. I really miss Dr.Chadha and wish I could be able to see her again. Looking back on it I felt like she took time with me, time to go over my labs, and explain everything to me. She takes time with her patients, listens to them, and is very knowledgeable. When I went to her she was getting pretty booked up and I take it it's probably still that way so you may have a bit of a wait getting in to see her. But you won't regret it. Doctors like Chadha are hard to come by so if you manage to get one don't let them go. read more

Excellent Rheumatologist, the best in town. Dr. Anu Chadha is a blessing to our family. My son was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease when he was 14. At the most hopeless time after being treated by a few local pediatric Rheumatologist and Neurologist, my son was referred to Dr. Chadha by our Pediatrician and our pediatric Rheumatologiest in Houston. Dr. Chadha is truly knowledgeable and shares detailed information with us. She is honest and open-minded. She told us she was not trained in pediatric Rheumatology however willing to coordinate the treatments with the pediatric Rheumatologiest in Houston. She has great compassion and relates to her patients very well. My son is 18 years old now and Dr. Chadha takes full charge of his treatment with excellent care. If you need a rheumatologist to treat Lupus or Arthritis I invite you to take the time to meet with Dr. Chadha and her staff. She doesn't only understand Lupus, but she stays on top of on going research, they do trials in her office, she has a staff of over 20 people working in her office doing research, infusions, appointments, insurance, calls, paperwork on top of the nurses she works with. They are an amazing group of people. I moved countries to see a specialist and I was not dissapointed, she takes her time and explains things to me and talks about what I should expect and what I can encounter, she is determined and fierce and doesn't beat around the bush which is why I like her the best. She is open minded and her bedside manners are just excellent in my opinion. She was the first specialist who told me "we need to get you off steroids" and not try to feed me more instead, she gets it. She has worked with me and my concerns about treatments not working and changing out meds other doctors would have given me the stink eye for. I absolutely love that I can talk to my doctors office online and not spend hours on the phone, all my records, test results and appointment are at the reach of my fingers and we you deal with disabilities and memory fog it is a huge thing to count on.
