I did just that late this weekend (Aug. 20, 2017), when I noticed a wet spot in the garage roof right about where the water heater is located. Rick called me back 1st thing Monday morning and asked knowledgeable questions to be sure of the issue and scheduled to come out the next morning (Aug. 22, 2017), he needed to get the supplies. Rick was courteous enough to call a little before he was supposed to be here to let me know he was running just a few minutes behind. Once he arrived he was on the job and happy to help. He answered all my questions, explained how things work, and even helped with a little toilet issue in one of my bathrooms. MY 2015 REVIEW: I just recently had the misfortune of having my water heater go out on me while my husband was out of town. This was a Thursday around 5pm, so I called a few big names in plumbing (John Moore, Mr. Rooter, and Roto-Rooter), thinking that they would be the fastest, least expensive, and knowledgeable - boy was I WRONG! I got all of their quotes and not a one was under $1,500 and then in addition some of the big name plumbers were trying to tell me I was going to need additional work because I was "out of code". I was in shock! I could not figure out how they came up with these numbers - I had been looking online at what the various parts they said I needed cost at Home Depot and they didn't even add up to $800 let alone the $1,900 something one of these places quoted me. So then I got the recommendation that saved my sanity and my pocket book and I have never been so happy to recommend someone myself, Rick's Plumbing Repair. I got on the phone with Rick let him know what kind of water heater I had (50gal.) gave Rick several measurements and right away I knew I had made the right call, Rick instantly knew that due to new changes in water heaters that a 50 gallon tank would no longer fit in the space and recommended a 40 gallon tank. He then went out and bought the tank and immediately came to start his repairs, only when he got to my house and looked around Rick discovered there was no need to replace the water heater in my garage. Rick was so knowledgeable and honest that he let me know the water heater in my attic was providing enough hot water to my whole house and suggested he just haul away the old one in the garage and once the one in the attic goes to reconnect a water heater in the garage at that point in time. Rick noticed my hesitation and then furthered my trust in him by adding that he will do all this work and if after the weekend we don't feel like we have enough hot water he would come back to connect the water heater in the garage and credit the amount paid prior, since it was all work he would have had to do anyway.
