With everyone doing the same thing for an hour. It is a circuits based workout that rotates through a 3 day schedule with 3 different full body workouts. The next month all the circuits change up again and the rotation continues. No way to plateau or get bored in this scheme. It is fun, challenging and truly works your whole body. Time flies by. The staff are all certified trainers and not just fitness enthusiasts. They are monitoring and course correcting all the participants to be sure everyone is getting focus on doing the exercise properly. For me it's like having a personal trainer but within a group environment. I was spotted doing something wrong and it was very quickly (like within the first 30s) noticed and of course I got more out of the exercise because of it. All the trainers and owners were really friendly (most of them knew me by name) which was surprising and a great atmosphere to be in. I tried several classes as well as participated in personal training for a couple months before I moved back to Boston. The classes were challenging and they definitely accommodated all types of fitness levels especially the spin classes. Kickboxing wasn't my favorite but that probably because I'm coordination-challenged. The other people in class were nice and overall it was just a great atmosphere to work out in, and the instructors were incredibly motivating - cheering on individuals as they work harder. Your hard work won't go unnoticed. The personal trainer that I got to work with was Jamie who was chosen because his schedule worked nicely with mine. Jamie is an outstanding trainer and overall amazing person to spend time with. I had so much fun training with Jamie, he was funny, optimistic, smart, and he definitely challenged me every time I came in. Additionally, he was super accommodating to my changing schedule, and personal needs from a trainer. Even when I wasn't in the mood to work out or was having an awful day/week - training with Jamie always helped to turn things around. And beyond the gym and my physical well being, this guy helped me a lot mentally and with situations that had nothing to do with my body. I really can't say enough good things about this guy. I was absolutely astounded by the size of HAC- it had a large swimming pool, multiple tennis courts, basketball courts, machines, and free weights. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and the prices were very affordable. My only complaints was that the gym was somewhat hard to naviagte since the gym was not organized by "sections" (ex, the basketball court was in the midst of the free weight area, and machine rooms were spread around the gym) and the hours during the week. The gym is only open till 9pm, which made it sometimes difficult to find time to make it on time due to long obligations during the day. I wish that the gym was open for an hour and a half longer during the week.

The new lights had been installed and we got to play on them the first day the courts were available. After my tennis, I worked out in their weight room for an hour, then went home. I did check the rest of the club out. It has a nice indoor pool, work out classes, weight machines, treadmills, ellipicals, full size basketball court, and a few other amenities. A very nice club! The size of the facility,…read morerange of equipment, enthusiasm of its members, and incredible leadership (Tom is a fantastic businessman and an even better person!) lend themselves to among the best gym environments I have been in. On the first day, I signed up several months ago, I got Tom's personal phone number, which I utilized several times, and he never failed to respond within five minutes. The selection of weights, cardio, equipment, barbells, and more provide endless opportunities for training, no matter the discipline. A five out of five is not a high enough rating for this gym!
