But, there's only one 4 lanes lap pool so I have no idea why they had to "rest/close" the pool from 1-4pm weekdays. In both MN & PA, lap pool is opened all day 5:15am-8pm weekdays. If lap pool was used for swim team or life guard training, they'd open the kid's pool for lap swim. In Philly, there is one pool with no kids' pool. So certain hours, 2-3 lanes of pool are reserved for kids lesson/ fam swim, leaving 2 lanes for lap swim. But the pool is in use fr 5:15 till closing at 8 weekdays or 6/ 4pm weekends, except for Friday 2.5 hrs of pool cleaning. They tried to maximize the pool's usage to benefit members. Why such a waste of resources here in Avon, IN? I saw that the staff were just hanging out, doing nothing near the pool while members were not allowed 1-4pm to use the pool nor the sauna. It would be the best time for some ppl to swim/sauna in these 3 wasted hours. I hope that the management of Hendricks Y will reconsider their pool hours and not waste such a wonderful resource for its community. I will upgrade this to a 5 star if this is changed for the better (or even 6; ).

It was a gym, weights, floor pressess, squat racks, dumbbells up to 150 lbs fat bars, chains and some really good machines. It was neither a powerlifting gym or body building. It was designed for all kinds of training for all ages and very welcoming. Yes there are some broken and used equipment, but that describes me! After 40 years of powerlifting this was a refreshing change to the fitness gyms of today. I felt at home. This from a contributor to powerlifting USA hardcore gyms. Thanks for a great workout.

It's definitely not as well kept as some of the other gyms in the area, but it has it's own charm. The gym has a good amount of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Unfortunately, most of it is really old, and they're short on bars sometimes. Still, I have never had a problem with the equipment, and despite it's age, it does it's job. There is a separate room with some really heavy weights for the hardcore. The clientele skews towards the more hardcore rather than bored housewives. This tends to intimidate some people, but everyone has always been very considerate towards me. It's a good value, only 15 dollars a month if you sign up for an entire year. It's 30 dollars if you sign up on a month by month basis and 75 for 3 months at a time. They also have specials occaionally. You also get unlimited access to tanning and free movie rentals. Yeah, they have free movie rentals for some reason. Judging from the selection, I think they raided a Blockbuster that was going out of business. In other words, it's mostly B-movies with a few new releases and some classics peppered in. My only complaint is the extremely limited child care services. It's basically a small, unsupervised playpen with some toys in it. I don't have kids so this in itself isn't an issue but there's been a few times when some welfare queen will bring her 12 kids to the gym and they end up running amok, playing on equipment and the like. There's no place for that at a gym. Despite this complaint, I've been coming to this place for about a year and I really enjoy it. Don't let's it's run down appearance fool you. Oh yeah, they've also started keeping some old weight lifting magazines from the 80's and 90's around which is pretty amusing.

These launches are always a big deal and bring such great energy! I participated in the Core launch and BodyBalance launch, and both classes were amazing. The instructor is incredible, super motivating and really knows how to make the experience feel special. She even hosted a drawing for prizes, which was a fun extra touch. The energy in the room was high, the workouts were challenging but rewarding, and my body definitely thanked me afterward. It's one of those "feel good after" kind of workouts. I also love that these classes are included with membership, it really adds value and makes it worth it. Definitely something I look forward to every time!

These are the sayings that make staying serious in yoga nearly impossible for me. It's not Better Bodies fault that I lack the level of seriousness required to complete a yoga session without a constant shiteating grin on my face. I have worked in the Chase Tower for a year but today was the first time I had visited the gym because I had heard how expensive it was. One free yoga class and I'm in! The facility looked like a doctor's office - not that this matters, but it was nothing like I expected. I appreciated the pump Listerine bottle, lotions and other fanciful items to be found in the bathroom. Our yoga instructor was interesting. She kicked the class off in silence (a period of silence that my immature self could not handle) and followed notes throughout the session which I have never seen before. Based on interactions with fellow participants this wasn't her first class. I enjoyed the variety and challenge level of the moves (or are they called poses). She closed the class by awkwardly saying "I don't have any special chant or anything that I say at the end.....lonnnngggg ppauuusseeee....Thank you. Next week I'm trying the highly-popular by Yelp standards Invoke Studio. Bring it on Yoga! Here I come ,smirky face and all! Namaste.

Full circle has a new member on ramp that is really well built. It equates to a month trial/intro with an expert teaching you everything you need to know about CrossFit. A huge thing that can be a turn off about gyms to newbies is the coaches. A bad coaching environment can really make the CrossFit experience not fun. Full circle has done a great job at making sure the coaches are friendly and very knowledgeable. They help and guide you every step of the way! Another big thing is the times that you can pick from throughout the day. First class at 6 am and the last at 7 PM allows you to fit in a class no matter how crazy your schudule is. To top it off the full circle community is awesome. Members are so friendly and encouraging. The gym even has community building events on a regular basis. Things like Halloween costume parties, corn hole tournaments, 4th of July workouts and more! These events are great to get to know people and to build a cool bond with your fellow members. If you're in the Greenwood area and looking for a good CrossFit gym.. I'd highly recommend it.

The staff here welcomed us with open arms and not only opened their gym to us but also provided excellent instruction to our girl. So thankful for this gym and the amazing staff, if/when we move back to Indiana I would absolutely have my girl compete for this gym!
