Instead, got a frustrating mix of being ignored, wasting time, and being quoted a higher price than what's clearly posted on their own signage. I called a month in advance and left a voicemail (but never a response). Once in town, stopped by Friday at 2 PM. No staff on site, but there's a sign telling you to call or text. Did, and then stood there waiting for over 20 minutes with no response. Eventually left, only to get a reply 45 minutes later saying someone would be there from 4-8 PM. Came back at 4:30 PM. Staff there (win), but went downhill fast... After filling out release waiver, quoted over $43 for a weekly pass. The sign taped to the inside window of the gym facing the outside clearly states $38.95 (with tax). No disclaimer, no "subject to change", just a different, lower price posted right in front of potential customers. When I asked about it, the response was basically a shrug: "prices change. " No apology. No explanation. No effort to honor the posted price. Just "I'll try to tell the owner." That's not a small oversight, that's misleading (at best). You don't get to advertise one price and charge another without expecting customers to question your integrity. To recap, while the pricing was the nail in the coffin, there are multiple issues at play: * Ignored voicemail a month in advance * No response while we were standing outside trying to get in * No clear staffed hours posted * Incorrect pricing displayed with zero accountability These are basic operational standards, and they're all being missed. For the owner, this is fixable, but only if taken seriously: * Fix or remove incorrect pricing immediately * Honor posted prices when you're wrong * Set clear expectations for response times * Post actual staffed hours * Train staff to handle issues with accountability, not indifference The equipment looked solid, which honestly makes this more frustrating. The problem isn't the gym but rather it's how it's being run. If you're a local, maybe you tolerate this. But if you're visiting and expecting basic professionalism and transparency, this place is not delivering. It's not about a few dollars, it's about trust. And right now, that's exactly what's lacking!

I don't know if the present owners are selling or if the business is changing hands. But the entire building needs a massive renovation. The pool is not maintained chemically or otherwise. The ceiling in the pool room is cracking from recent rain. The women's Jacuzzi was filled only 17 inches and I was told it leaks, and therefore cannot maintain its water level. The locker room showers are ice cold. to top it off all the information on their website is three years old so the class is no longer exist or at different times and on different days. When walking out, I spoke with a front of the house staff person and she informed me that there really is no phone number that works for this place and that she would need my personal banking information before she would let me in again, I walked away feeling extremely unsure as to what exactly my $40 was paying for. It's too bad because I think Quincy could use a really nice place to go and this is so not it.

I was working out last Wednesday, 10/16. When I came I'm around 11:30am, two members there. They finished up and left, I continued on. That horrible, beat pounding music drove me out of that place early. Also I couldn't locate a manager, thinking I might ask her to turn that awful off or at least decrease it. What's the deal here? Must I endure head banging music to work out? Surely there has to be a compromise.. if I am to continue being a member.

This gym popped up on my search and I figured I'd be "good enough." Little did I know, this gym in this tiny town is better equipped than most gyms I go to in any big city! Granted, it was a strange set up and machines were maybe a bit too close to each other, but that's probably the best they could do if they wanted to provide machines for everything! It beat my expectations! The hours are 8-6am M-F and 10-4 on weekends, but you can request a key card if you want to work out earlier or later. There are several cardio machines - bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals. I never had to wait to use anything. There are also several spots with free weights and other weight machines, plus places to stretch, so you never feel like you are on top of other people. The women's locker room is very clean. There are lockers, a shower, and a sauna. There is free internet in the gym. Although there isn't a tv on the individual cardio machines, there are a couple tvs that can change the channel to watch a show. The prices are very reasonable. $8 for a one time visit, $20 for a week. If you are local to Leavenworth, I think it was $40 for a month. Highly recommend if you are looking for a local gym or just a place to work out on vacation!
