I don't know if the present owners are selling or if the business is changing hands. But the entire building needs a massive renovation. The pool is not maintained chemically or otherwise. The ceiling in the pool room is cracking from recent rain. The women's Jacuzzi was filled only 17 inches and I was told it leaks, and therefore cannot maintain its water level. The locker room showers are ice cold. to top it off all the information on their website is three years old so the class is no longer exist or at different times and on different days. When walking out, I spoke with a front of the house staff person and she informed me that there really is no phone number that works for this place and that she would need my personal banking information before she would let me in again, I walked away feeling extremely unsure as to what exactly my $40 was paying for. It's too bad because I think Quincy could use a really nice place to go and this is so not it.

There are senior friendly classes upstairs (they have a convenient elevator) for folks wanting to be in a class to improve their overall strength. The class is led by a personal coach and your access to the coach is included in your monthly fee. There are also other younger adults age 30 plus that I see in classes as well. My complaint is that Larson's at this time of the winter season with overnight frosty temperatures does not salt their blacktop parking lot. I did ask the front desk about this, and what I was told, didn't make a heck of lot of sense to me. She said," We can't salt the parking lot because people would track that salt in to the ice rink on the side of this building and create holes in the ice." So I said, "So Larson's would risk the limbs and the backs of the seniors that come into exercise, just because this business doesn't want salt ending up in the next building for the ice rink???" " Hmmm, so Larson's (which is city owned) doesn't care about its Seniors, just the money making business of the ice rink for the younger generation? Sounds like Larson's Recreation Center needs to be revaluate for Senior Friendly Facilities.

Now that's a very sweet deal, Beth is very helpful to me. I'm in my late 60's and rebuilding my body after surgeries and chemo. I wish more women would come and join the class. She also has classes for men. The majority of the people in these classes are in their 60s or older. It makes me happy to be one of them. There is also a great walking track as well as thst open room weight on second floor. And for those of us with bad knees or injured backs, it is so nice to have an elevator instead of the steps option. First floor offers a basketball court that can be divided for pickle ball or volleyball, etc. Other rooms available to rent for classes, meetings, and so forth. I really appreciate that this center is low noise and so very clean! So come out and take a look for yourselves!

Just spent a weekend with three buddies playing a ton of golf at Moses Pointe. We seemed to see the cart girl every couple of holes, which was awesome. She was nice, made great cocktails, and was quick. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. Between us, we had the French Dip, two of the different burgers, the BLT, the Club, and a few other things. All of it was great food. The customer service from the Pro Shop, to the bartender, to the cart guys was great. The carts were clean and well-stocked. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.
