I had a free day pass emailed directly from Crunch Fitness, but because I do not live in Gainesville, Jose told me it was not valid. Fine. Annoying, but not a huge deal. I said I would just pay for a day pass. That is when Jose explained that I could not buy a day pass without a physical hard copy of my driver's license. Not a photo. Not digital. A hard copy. Somehow, I was still allowed to purchase a full membership without it. I told him no problem, I would do a month to month membership and cancel after the required 90 days. Jose then said I would still be required to pay the annual fee. So to be very clear, because I did not have my license on me, Crunch Fitness, through Jose, expected me to pay over 120 dollars just to work out for one day. That is not policy. That is a sales trap. Crunch Fitness is not a luxury gym. It is not exclusive. It is absolutely not worth forcing people into memberships through arbitrary and contradictory rules. Jose showed zero flexibility, zero common sense, and zero interest in actually helping a customer. The only thing being pushed was fees. If this is how Crunch Fitness operates, with confusing rules and staff trained to corner people into spending more money, I will gladly take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of gyms that manage to let adults work out without holding their wallets hostage. Do better.

The staff is really nice and have always been helpful whenever I needed it. I saw someone on here was mad that they require a hard copy of ID to get in but after having my car and belongings stolen and weird people skulking around at my previous gym, it's for a reason and it makes me feel protected. I had to turn around and go home to get mine, too. Everyone here comes to enjoy their workout and fulfill their fitness goals and it shows. There is just a ton to do and since February I have really shed some weight (11 lbs between Feb and April) with the weight classes. There are two saunas, tanning beds and the locker room is really nice with self-locking lockers. I highly recommend it.

Every other place I called, during staffed hours, did not answer the phone. This place did. I think what I loved the most about this facility was the attitude of those running it. They were all about us working out. They made it possible for my daughters to come in and have the best workout of our trip. The facility is loaded with everything you'd need. While it is far behind our skill set or experience, it was super cool to see a boxing ring and punching bag as well. It was so refreshing to stop in a real gym run by real people who just want you to have an an awesome experience at their place.

I also had a very poor experience with an employee recently as well. A couple of friends and I decided to go at 10pm because there's almost nobody there that late, and after one of my friends connected to the gyms sound system to play our own music. The employee (the only other person in the gym apart from us) thought it was appropriate to immediately yell at us and accuse us of not having a membership in an attempt to throw us out. A simple, "you're not allowed to do that" would've sufficed, even though we do this just about every time we go this late and none of the other employees seemed to mind given the place is totally empty and we aren't playing anything different than what they play. Then the employee decided to put on his own music and turn it up as if to drive us out. Ive been considering canceling my membership for a while because of the decreased quality of the equipment, but after this my friends and I are definitely going to a different gym.

I've been going to the Gainesville, Georgia, Planet Fitness for about two years now. I've seen…read moremany bad managers come and go. This new manager, Rob, has far surpassed those former managers. He is competent, enthusiastic and loves his job. On occasion when I've asked him how his day is going he replies ' fantastic''. He cares about this gym and its patrons. He is athletic and knows how to answer gym related questions and is happy to do so. His staff is friendly and polite. They greet their members with more than a grunt or no eye contact as some former employees did. The tone of any business is always set from the top. This Planet Fitness now has a smart, friendly and sincerely nice manager at the top. The gym is always kept clean throughout the day. Restrooms and lockers are clean and actually smell nice. If any machine has a problem, it's taken care of in a timely manner. This Gainesville, Georgia location is a large facility with ample machines and '' toys'', as well as parking. I usually go in the mornings and rarely have to wait for what I want to use. A few months ago they added some different machines and more of what they were already using. If you've never tried this location or it's been a long time since you did. You should give them another try. I think you'll be pleased. Good management makes all the difference!

The staff is so friendly and definitely the small town charm is here. No intimidating huge fancy gym with too many people hogging the machines. The price is very reasonable and you get 24 hour access! This may be a gym that actually makes me enjoy fitness. I am generally excited to go back tomorrow and everyday after that. If you want a friendly, clean, fun place to exercise (the equipment is very easy to use too!)I 100% suggest this spot. I plan to be a loyal member.
