They have crossfit training, and during their open training they often play rap music with offensive language. The music is always super loud. Do not reccommend this location to anybody. Small gym and they only have one bench that inclines. read more

Nice clean place to work out Nice equipment and location for a workout that can be done anytime. I like the cycling bikes and the treadmills. Employees are nice when they are on staff. Everything is always clean and in good working order. I like the location because it is close to the grocery so if I want to have a quick run I can on the way to the grocery store. read more

Best gym in Greenfield by far. Clean, great equipment, friendly people. The staff and trainers here are the best. Encouraging, knowledgeable, some of them fight MMA. You get the sense that these people want to help you get where you want to go fitness-wise. You don't need a huge gym to get where you want to be. Go here and put in 120% and you will NOT be disappointed. read more

I would advise everyone to never, ever go to Anytime Fitness. The staff is completely horrible and upon your first consultation will completely rip your life to shreds in a less than positive way. I am the customer, I don't care if you're a personal trainer and trying to inspire me, you should not sit there and criticize me and my life. After my horrible consultation Anytime Fitness has lost a possible lifetime customer and I will be telling everyone I know about how horrible this business is. I would advise any possible customers to stay away from Anytime Fitness at all costs, they don't care about you, they only want your money! Family Fun and Fitness and Hancock Wellness Center are much better than this establishment. read more

Seriously?). While it's a decent place for the most part, maintenance is pretty lacking. One machine was down for about 2 months with a "Temporarily Out of Order" sign on it. We have different definitions of temporary. It wasn't one that I used, but I talked to a couple people who were a little frustrated. Sometimes I would get on a treadmill and when I went to turn it up it would either max out at like 5 MPH or just turn off, necessitating a move to another one, so that was cool. Also, some of the old tiles in the ceiling have needed replaced for quite some time. Most of the clientele is pretty cool, with the exception of a few gigantic douchebags. When I signed up I was told that no one but staff was allowed to control the audio to avoid potentially offending anyone, but I went multiple times at night when some guy was blasting a mix of pretty vulgar rap, (I know you're a hardened white kid from the mean cornfields of Greenfield, but have some respect, dumbass.), Korn (really?), and Limp Bizkit (REALLY?!). I also overheard 2 guys in their late 20s having the saddest conversation ever about how cool it is to live with their parents and not pay for anything but protein. Pros and cons, I guess. It's not the most impressive gym, but it probably has enough for you to get the job done if you're creative, you just might encounter a few frustrations. If you can live with a few negatives, then it might be worth the price, just know that the old phrase "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to this place.

The sand is very hard and uncomfortable. Bring chairs. It's $7 per person to get in if you're not a fisher's resident if your Fisher's resident it's free and probably more affordable if you have the group of kids because it is $10 extra for an hour of the kayak use and $10 extra to go beyond the roped area probably because they have this inflated play area that's tethered outside that roped area. They have a lifeguard on duty. Fill out the waiver before you go. If you have the money and bring your own food and drinks it could be a nice little outing for the family. If your not a resident of fishers though I'm sure there are more enjoyable options for $7, $10 or $27 per person. Also be prepared to bring cartloads to be able to enjoy or be comfortable.

No playground! Let's just get that out of the way right now. My children believe that all places…read morethat call themselves "parks" should have a playground, otherwise it's false advertising. I don't agree, but you should know up front that this park doesn't have a playground, so you can set your child's expectations where they need to be. What Beckenholdt Family Park does have is lots of walking paths that meander around a beautiful pond. There's also a wooden deck and lookout tower, which when you make it to the top, you can see the whole park. (The lookout tower is also wheelchair accessible, which is cool.) The lookout is what actually caught my eye from the road. I saw it and slammed on my breaks, did a U-turn and headed toward this park that I had never heard of until today. A good portion of the park is dedicated to a fenced dog park called Rovers Run Bark Park. The dog park has a few obstacles, but mostly lots of grassy areas to run. There's also a gazebo-type sitting area for the humans. Next to the dog park is a rainbow bridge -- literally, a bridge that's painted rainbow colors -- called Baker's Rainbow Bridge, for people whose dogs have died. The owners can place their lost dogs' collars, ID tags, photos and other mementos all along the bridge. I have been in my head a lot lately, with my feelings heightened and right at the edges, so seeing this rainbow bridge, with all of the photos and collars attached to the bridge, made me cry. There was just so much love there. It's making me want to cry again just writing about it! What a nice gesture for the community. Luckily, a dog from the dog park sensed that I needed to snap out of it, and ran over to bark at me. I'm so glad I stopped at this park! It wasn't a planned part of my day, but sometimes the unplanned things are just what you need. It was nice to walk around and enjoy the sunshine at this beautiful place.

I used to stress eat. When the hamsters were running wild and free inside my brain, I would head straight to the fridge. Now, I go for a walk... and it's glorious. Today, I needed a walk. It was the end of my work day and I wanted to clear my head and burn some calories. I work less than 10 minutes from Beckenholdt Park, so I left work a few minutes early and headed to the park. I keep my ruck pack in my trunk, so I was all set. I arrived at the park around 4:00pm. It was cool and overcast, but a great day for a walk. I have been to this park multiple times over the years. I have taken my kids fishing in the small pond and have walked laps around its trails. Today, I threw on my ruck sack, put in my earbuds, and started walking. There is something special about moving your legs and listening to good music. Neutral Milk Hotel danced in my ears as I walked laps around the pond. While this band might not be for everyone, I feel like nature parks like Beckenholdt were made for folksy bands like Neutral Milk Hotel. Listening to folk music and walking in nature-- that's a great way to slow down those hamsters! Beckenholdt Park isn't the largest park. There are no playgrounds. But it is a great nature preserve to take your family and your dog. Or to simply go for a nice walk around the pond.
