I loved going here prior to COVID and then once they opened back up. The owner is extremely amazing and she owns the location downtown as well. Best thing about HOTWORX is I can go at anytime and it's not a super crowded gym. Great for individuals that want to go to the gym but feel like it's going to be an "all eyes on me" visit lol. I'm not even sure where to begin with my love for this place. I just realized that I've been a member for almost a year. In that year, my body has changed so much. Not only was I able to reach my weight loss goal (bye bye to 87 lbs), the HOTWORX workouts (especially the isometric ones - they are my favs) COMPLETELY transformed my body. As a former gymnast, I always felt like workouts gave me bulky muscles that I didn't love. These workouts have made me look and feel so toned and strong but with lean muscles. I honestly haven't felt this good in years. I'm in better shape than ever at 42 years old. On top of the great workouts, the ladies and Drew are so friendly. They are always extremely helpful and are invested in their members. The gym is also spotless and I'm not sure that I've ever said this about a gym - but it smells good. One last thing (but I could really go on for a lot longer). HOTWORX has become my me time / self care / mental break / therapy session / etc. Whatever you want to call it. I love being able to come in and workout by myself if that's what I need or join a friend or two. I always mentally feel so much better after I'm done. Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be for us. HOTWORX used to be a fun and uplifting environment to work out in. Now, every time I go, there is some "complaint" against me for talking in the hall, listening to music, or being on my phone. Yes, you heard that right - you're not allowed to have a conversation in the hall between classes. Now for context, I've been going here for about 2 years. The following is a breakdown of events that have transpired over time but have recently escalated. Months ago, my workout friend and I were yelled at by the manager for having a phone conversation in the gym. At that point in time, it was not known to us that we weren't allowed to talk on the phone. The manager was incredibly rude and then proceeded to claim that WE harassed her. The issue was poorly handled as management sided with the employee instead of addressing the issue at hand. Since, they have put up "no phones" signs in the gym. Recently, we got in trouble for "hogging" the hot rooms. If you are familiar, you book rooms in advance at HOTWORX through their app. There are two slots per rooms. My friends and I intentionally book rooms together as to not hog the rooms. And I am always sure to book in advance so that I can get the hot room that I want. Apparently, if you book too many rooms in a row or book with your friends, it is frowned upon. I will say, it is pretty interesting that whenever there are complaints against us, there aren't really any other members there. I have a feeling it is the management that doesn't like us and they are the one with these complaints. We are constantly yelled at by management while there is favoritism toward other people who go to this gym. Specifically there is favoritism toward one of the managers husbands who apparently gets to do whatever he wants. He consistently brings weights and other equipment inside of the hot room even though there are signs saying it is not allowed (because it ruins the equipment). When we bring this up to management they say they will address it, but it continues to happen. This individual also lays his wet clothing, specifically underwear, out in the FX zone. When we approach management, it was laughed off because it was just the managers husband. I don't know about you, but underwear laying out in a gym is disgusting and is behavior that should not be tolerated. This person also has violently banged on our hot room walls because he was mad that we were laughing in the hot room next door to his. For a group of girls, this was a terrifying experience. Yet, nothing had been done about it. This person also gets free access to the Guest mats and free drinks/water bottles. When pointing out this favoritism, I was told that it was because this individual is a firefighter and all service members get this perk. So *PERK ALERT* if you are a service member like a police officer or nurse take advantage of the free swag! In addition to the blatant favoritism of some and hatred of others, this HOTWORX location just isn't up to par with the rest. This location always has broken equipment. Management says that it is because "members are too rough or use the equipment incorrectly". Meanwhile I think they are just being cheap because I know other locations do not have the same issues. HOTWORX slogan is "Earn the Burn". This was a fun and motivating perk for us at first. You are able to purchase merchandise like their clothing with your points! Now, they are trying to limit what you can purchase, specifically they no longer want members to be able to get clothing with their points. Just another instance of them being cheap and not wanting members to have the ultimate HOTWORX experience. We loved earning the burn, recently however, their app never works! There is always some issue with it not correctly tracking calories and sometimes not being able to book rooms. Management here is never able to get us a sound answer as to why the app doesn't work correctly. This impacts our ability to track calories and earn points (which is the fun and motivating part about HOTWORX) Lastly, they say that they update their videos every few weeks but from my experience that's not the case. There have been times when the same video has been repeated in a room for 3 to 4 months. It gets really boring doing the same work out and hearing the same person talk over and over again. They really do not live up to what they claim when they pitch the membership to you. If you are looking for a gym where you can be yourself and have a fun workout this is NOT for you. This gym are for those who like to be alone, quiet, and meditate while they work out. So, today I put my membership on pause as I need a break from the negative environment. When we told the GM that maybe this gym just wasn't right for us she literally said "yeah, maybe it's not". So it sounds like management is happy to see us go! read more

I've been working out at HOTWORX for over a year and I cannot say enough positive things about this place. They are open 24/7, all you need is your code to get in the door. There is a large variety of workouts, plus as an added bonus they have a weight room for strength training. It's a very uplifting environment. I look forward to going there and being greeted the staff. Always telling me to "have a great workout!" They are extremely helpful and always very courteous. They know you by name, you are not just another person, they genuinely care about you. Any time I have forgotten my towel they are happy loan me one. Let me tell you about this place. When I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome! The place looked very clean and well organized. The staff were ever so sweet! The lady at the front desk gave me a tour and walked to me my hot cycle room. She explained everything clearly and even brought me a water! It is cycling but in an infrared sauna. My workout was only 15 min but it felt like it was more after how much I sweat..... After that, I showered and dressed there. The cleanest bathroom ever. It was seriously the coolest experience! Love love love hotworx, especially the Fishers location. I work a very demanding job and hotworx fits in perfectly by allowing me to add or cancel classes at the last minute if I need to. With the variety of workouts, I have been able to try things I could have been nervous to in a normal setting. My workouts have become my me time and with consistency I have been able to lose those stubborn pounds I had. I have been a HOTWORX member since 2019 and this is the best workout environment I have ever experienced. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is the absolute best!! They are all so friendly and helpful and thoroughly explain everything about how the process and membership work. I have never witnessed or experienced any rude behavior from any one of them and I go 6 days a week. They are prompt to politely address any unruly behavior (i.e. other members talking on speaker phone in the hallway or in the box which is disruptive to everyone else. Their goal is to provide a great experience for every member and the staff work hard to achieve just that. The workouts alone will change your body for the better, but the infrared and dry heat is a fantastic bonus for the body and the healing process during and after the workout. The facility is secure and available 24/7 and located in a safe area. You need member access to enter the facility which means no one can walk in off the street, which I appreciate, especially when working out at night. The videos are rotated about every 3 months and the equipment is well maintained and clean. My ideal box temperature is 123 degrees which is the middle of the recommended 120 to 125. You will sweat, but you will love the results you get from the HOTWORX experience! An excellent workout in a short time on my own schedule! What a concept! A great way to get in a good workout in Fishers! I went in for a free hot yoga class after hearing about this place for a bit. They offer a wide variety of classes, and the best part is if you're a member you can get 24/7 access to attend classes when it fits your schedule. Each class is in a small wooden box that is heated to about 125 degrees with infrared lighting. The intensity of the classes along with the heat make it easy to get in a solid workout and ensure you sweat a ton. I would say this is not exactly the place for someone who is claustrophobic, but the nice part is during non-peak hours you can usually get a room to yourself. Staff is very friendly and helpful and even the members are friendly to people trying out a class. Class lengths vary in time so it is easy to adjust to your schedule. read more

I went in for a complementary session just to try things out. It definitely pushed me but I enjoyed it so much. I chose to do a spin session it lasted 15 minutes I arrived a little late but was able to hop in and just pick right up with the video. Nobody else was in my box which I loved it gives a nice element of privacy and comfort for someone who is not a gym rat. I was able to go at my own pace while still being pushed by the workout instructor on video. I have never sweat as much as I did but I think that's a given since you are in an infrared sauna. It's really cool though there are about 10 individual boxes you can go into either by yourself or up to three people. You do need to schedule ahead of time. If you're a member you gain 24/7 access. You'll see from the pictures there's also a nice gym space available along with a vending machine with work out appropriate refreshments and a clean bathroom. Everything was sanitized properly and the general manager, Sylvia, was incredibly friendly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Their rates are fantastic. I love infrared Sauna's AND working out so this combo is PERFECT! The owner is amazing and takes the time to answer all your questions AND backs her answers up with factual DATA from accredited and licensed professionals. Her staff is well trained and there is NO HARD SALE tactics! (They honestly don't need them anyway! But it's nice to have an actual free class with NO pressure to come back.) You will though! I joined back in March of 2021. I fell In love with hotworx right away, mostly due to the fact that it was freezing cold outside and it was a great place to be warm and get a workout. I consider myself an influencer, when I believe in something so much I spread the word. That being said I referred close to 15 members to join with me. Due to that I received 1 year for free!!! Yay to me!! Its nice to be able to book a room with your friends especially during covid times...but when your constantly being told to not laugh, lower your voice , no music from your little iPhone etc it becomes not fun anymore. Keep in mind I am 49 years old? Soooo This isn't a bunch of kids acting up lol. We are simply giggling because we are trying to push each other to do more. Anyhoo, when we started hotworx we did not think we joined a gym in a library , Noone ver said no phones..Noone said You HAVE to listen to those boring videos that never get changed out. If you can't chit chat about your long day at work and giggle a bit THEN I AM IN THE WRONG PLACE... its simply just that. This craziness started bothering me more when I would book a room and bikes were still broke or the rower machine seat was still falling off or not sliding smooth or the squeeling noise from them would be so loud you could only get it to stop if you stood up on full resistance ...And I can never get those handle bars to move up or down, constantly stuck! So I took a break and started going to Solidcore!! Omg talk about a workout. I already see and feel a difference in my strength in just a few short weeks! Powerful fun music and super motivation from a great instructor. I haven't canceled my membership with hotworx..im gonna check back in to see if things will change for the better. This place is great for someone just starting out on their fitness journey to someone looking to add to their current routine, to a person just looking for the benefits of the infrared heat.
