We only came to check it out. I was in the area and decided to be able to see how another location was configured. It was nice to see a coffee/beverage table for gym goers. They had a lot of information posted a lot different classes and a board of who the teachers are. There are definitely more classes here (and teachers) than the Yorktown location. It was a little cluttered but maybe it was just due to being a new space and unfamiliar. I absolutely LOVED that their studio room was a real room that could be closed off if it was being in session. If I am in the area I would definitely enjoy working out here. read more

What a wonderful change in management at the Hayes location. From the time we walk-in until we leave, we fill appreciated as a customer. The location is so organized and clean. So much life and enjoyment now. We will definitely stay as customers now. read more

Stopped in to inquire about membership & was even prepared to sign up and start right then. Seemed like I was a bother to the guy working. He took me through to show equipment, etc which he did fine with but other than that there seemed to be an attitude. The place wasn't busy so I have no idea what was up. That was just the start of why I will not become a member of Anytime Fitness. I advised him right up front that I'm undergoing some painfully difficult financial times as a self-employed mental health therapist, which has resulted in a loss of my former apartment. I tend to spend a lot of time in my car or office. I'm also struggling with weight gain for various reasons though not because of unhealthy eating. That's the one thing I've always done but given other circumstances it doesn't seem to matter. Thus, I really need to be working out at a gym. While going over what was ridiculous monthly costs and contracts, he asked a couple of times if I was a veteran, military spouse, teacher or nurse, indicating they receive discounts. I advised him that is not the case but that I'm the person who helps veterans and others with the many mental health issues they go through including PTSD. Apparently, however, my career isn't as worthy as the others. Somehow, working with people in what is incredibly difficult work as it involves not just the mental state but also physical, & yet that's not good enough for Anytime Fitness. Here's an idea. You try doing what I do for a living. Then get back to me and tell me that what I do is less deserving of teachers, nurses, military spouses. read more

Not good! A friend of mine had taken his shirt off and not even 30 seconds later he put it back on. The manager had told them that he had to have it on and keep in mind he already had it on before the manager walked in. The manager continued to tell him it was a $50 fee. My friend wasn't having it because who wants to pay $50 for having a shirt off. The next day the manager charges his card $65 and they have to pay the monthly fee which is expensive. My friend went back today to see what was going on and then cancelled their membership. Also i forgot to mention that there is a regular member that goes there and takes his shirt off 24/7 and hasn't even gotten a warning. read more

The manager seemed very odd as she explained the package and why they charge so much for the membership bc she wants to discourage non series goers. You would think a gym would love people like that bc it would drive down others membership fees. Anyways I went everyday for a week prior to deciding not to join. I love the hours and how no more than 5 people were ever there at one time but the equipment was not high end. It was dirty, clicked, squeaked, and seemed cheap- like hotel gym equipment. I really still would have joined since there are such limited options in Gloucester, but the manager turned me off so much with the 18 month contract and fob fees. Seemed like they need different membership packages for all levels based on frequency of attendance. read more

I am very happy at Anytime Fitness in Hayes Virginia. Staff is friendly, and gym is kept clean. Great place to workout and meet your goals.

I love this club. I have met some wonderful people who have inspired me and encourage me to reach my goals. I was given every tool and all the information I needed in order to get started on the right foot. I don't feel the harsh judgement and attitude of larger clubs. read more
