It's really the most accepting and positive gym environment I have ever seen. The staff is super friendly and seem to know everyone by name. They run a ton of special health and nutrition programs and have a wide variety of fitness classes. They have all the usual things one would expect to find in a gym: treadmills, elipticals, exercise bikes, and tons of weight machines as well as TV's to watch while you work out. They also offer personal training and have a place to watch your children while you exercise. I was only visiting Lafayette for a month but I absolutely love this place and will join again the next time I am in town for awhile.

They do not have email and will not take faxes, so you have to drive back to Lafayette to sign the termination paper. Insane right? Someone needs to bring them a brochure for broadband or something... This is your typical shady Lafayette biz. There are better options in the area, keep shopping around.

I wasn't complaining about anyone personally -- just the aggressive sales culture. I received the same generic response they give everyone, with no follow-up or concern. Shortly after, I submitted a cancellation request for my training because I no longer felt comfortable with how the club was being run. At that point, nothing was escalated -- I was willing to finish out the month and pay my upcoming charge. Then I learned the trainer I had been working with would no longer be allowed to continue through the end of the year. When I went to speak with Will, the regional manager, he argued with me about supplements, dismissed my concerns, blamed others for my opinions, and spoke to me very condescendingly. I still planned to finish the month despite that interaction. The next day I was told the trainer was officially gone, and management immediately tried to push a reassignment on me without acknowledging anything that had happened or how uncomfortable I already felt. Evann contacted me as if nothing had occurred, even though he was included in the same emails where I clearly stated I wanted to cancel. It felt like pressure rather than customer service. Then Stephen, their boss, emailed me only to dismiss everything again -- denying that anything had materially changed, refusing to acknowledge Louisiana law, and insisting my "requests would not be met." Throughout this situation, I've been ignored, talked over, blamed, and treated with complete disrespect by management. What started as a simple desire to cancel training has turned into me wanting out of the entire club. I am filing complaints with the Louisiana Attorney General and BBB. Members deserve a gym that values them, listens to concerns, and follows the law. Unfortunately, this is not one of those gyms

One of the trainers even gave me a few pointers on improving my lifting form, which made a noticeable difference. I went in and toured when they opened and I am so impressed. There's an indoor track so you can run/walk where it's not one million degrees outside and a basketball court as well. If treadmills are your thing, there a plenty of those as well as elliptical machines, bikes and the like. The ladies locker rooms are positively spa like and I love all of the motivational quotes all over. I really wish they had a sauna, but fingers crossed they'll add one sometime in the future. They are open 24/7 but staffed only 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday. See y'all there!
