Great gym! Clean facilities and solid equipment. For us out of towners, perhaps post WiFi password somewhere?

I was told it was 25 dollars per month when I inquired about a membership, then found out they were billing me bi weekly. I went into the gym to ask why they were double billing me and they said that was how much they charge. I told them to cancel my membership and the manager said i had to do it by email to make a paper trail. He sent me an email and i responded asking them to cancel my membership. Over a week later, they are still billing me. I called to ask why my membership hasn't been cancelled, and they told me only the manager can cancel memberships. They also told me it was 30 days notice of cancellation, so i would still be billed another two payments. I asked when the 30 days started, and she said it hadn't started yet, because the manager didn't respond to my email. These guys are liars and crooks! I have been going to this health club for about a year now. I am so pleased with it in every way. The equipment is all you need, well maintained, and clean. The staff and owners are wonderful. You feel like you belong. Professional and friendly combined. Unlike the others who feign long hours or are "always open", this place walks the talk. I highly recommend them and thank them at the same time. read more

I have been a member of this gym for nearly 2 years now. I have always felt safe and supported here. I have come in at various times of day/night and never had an issue with the gym, staff or other members. I highly recommend the group training they have. I have personally worked with Anthony (the owner), coach Mimi and coach Liam. All are fantastic and have their own way of running the classes. If one doesn't have the style you prefer there are others to try working out with. I have seen great results since joining this gym. Results I never achieved at other gyms. I attribute much of this to the support from the coaches. read more

14 day free trial! Awesome! But no tanning?! Kinda small anytime fitness, but for location i can see why. I talked to one of the employees there and he said the tanning is to much to "maintain" so the owner won't be getting beds in. Come on guys GTL GTL! Lol get those beds in there. Way overpriced. Small selection of cardio equipment. Decent selection of machines / weights for body building or getting / maintaining being ripped. I don't workout here anymore. You can get more for cheaper elsewhere. read more

This has been a great gym for me! It's always clean and kept well maintained with no broken equipment. I've been coming for about a year and half now and I'll re-sign up again! The convince and availability to go when ever you want anytime you want is amazing and what sold the gym, no other gym has that convince! read more

They have contracts that are not ethical, fine print shenanigans. So I get a membership. Paid a whole year in full because I hate bills, unfortunately I wasn't able to use the member ship more the 2 days. Skip past a year. Keeping in mind I've only showed up to the gym 2 times. They start to doing monthly charges at the start of the new year. No reminder ,no phone call they just start taking. I go in to talk to them they show me fine print of were they are allow to take and not ask. After each contract is done, they start charging monthly automatically. I know I'm in the wrong and should be watching my account being with drawn from. Doesn't change my opinion on the company and how they do there business read more

Let me just say the ONLY reason im leaving such a high review is because after having a lil situation with this gym (my fault) the Manager Anthony really did go above and beyond to help me. The Mount Vernon Anytime Fitness is small and dirty. I have been to this location several times and at different times and the bathrooms are always filthy. The toilets are filthy, the counters are dirty, and the floors are usually wet and always dirty. The wood floors in the stretching area are very dirty (hairs and dirt) and in need of a sweep. To clean the machines they have towels that are reused throughout the day - not very sanitary. By the end of the day they are wet and who knows how much sweat has been absorbed into them. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location again nor will I recommend anyone there. The only thing good about this gym are the hours. If you need a gym with the same hours, I would try a different Anytime Fitness location or try a different gym. read more

Looked at past reviews and thought I would comment... No you cannot just walk in with a guest and show them around. I call that good business because of the type of gym that it is ~ It's called SECURITY! If your friend wants to come in, have them get a guest pass. They have cameras all over the place, it is not staffed a full 24 hours, all the doors are locked when not staffed. If I want to work out at 2:00 AM then I know that everyone there is authorized to be there, you have to agree to the security features as part of the membership, and those features make me feel safer. When I have talked with the staff, they have always been helpful, answered my questions, and helped me get on track with a more efficient workout routine. AF does not have a "club" like atmosphere. I have noticed that people who come to AF tend to be there to get their workout done and get on with life. I see a lot of people come in, work out, change into uniforms... nurses, construction, post office workers etc. and head out again. There are small teams of people who are working on goals together at various times. If you are looking for a social scene or hang out, I would not recommend AF. I joined AF because it works with my busy, ever changing schedule. I have been to enough gyms to appreciate the atmosphere at AF. They have all the equipment I need to meet my goals, stay focused, and I'm not inundated by a dozen jabbering conversations around me, about things other than fitness while I work out. read more
